So glad you received all of your bags finally! When are our guys going to learn.... "who" truly knows best?!?! And begin to to us?!?!

I hear you on having Disney in Disney and Christmas at Christmas. We loved the trip and everything about it and are so happy we did it! But I see us, in future trips, going back in the fall and early summertime. We have good friends taking their girls next week (their girls are 1 and 6) and I'm so excited to hear about their trip when they get home!!! The 1 year old is wearing the leopard outfit we got her older sister on our first trip there in Animal Kingdom, 2007. So much fun for them!

Let me know when you get your PTR started for your girl's trip!

Well, at least you were able to sort out the luggage issue (and didn't we know that something would go wrong! ). Thank god you got it back in "time".

Now that you have "arrived back home" I really hope that you start your pre-trip report for your September trip soon. I LOVE your adventures!!!

I will start... I just have to think of a title. ... There is the ToT run, Food and Wine, MNSSHP, only girls on the trip, dis friend on the trip, Kiras birthday... I need to come up with something that kinda speaks to all of that. Any ideas?

I'm glad that overall it was a good trip and that Steve was happy you went (although I can't see how he'd want even "more" resort time).

I too fill conflicted about going back to WDW during the holidays...while it was certainly beautiful, there was so much we could not do that the kids would love to do....

Great TR Ann! I so enjoyed it and i am glad you finally got your bags. I agree with you completely about keeping Christmas and Disney separate. Although we went early December i felt i was rushing to much at the last minute for Christmas. Ill be looking for your next one!!

Thank goodness you were able to get it sorted out, but what a headache. We usually fly SW, too and lately the service has been spotty so I've been looking around at other airlines for our next trip. After reading about your experience though, I think I'll stick to the spotty and stay with SWA.

It is funny how many of us come to that conclusion about Christmas time.. but it is definitely something I would not take back. I am so glad I got to see the parks and resorts at the holidays. It was truly a once in a life time!!!

In case anyone is inclined, here is one PTR I have started. I warn ya, I haven't got far. I will try and get more done on it tomorrow... but I am too tired tonight (since it is almost 1am) but I was super excited and had to get something started.

I can't help but say it wasn't surprising (all of the airline stuff) with the way the rest of the trip was going.

All in all though, I'm just glad everything made its way back home to you!

I guess I should start my PTR soon too. We definitely have to meet up during Sept. I can't believe you are doing the ToT race. That's pretty amazing. The registration is closed for that event (not like I could have run it anyways), but I woudlnt' mind doing the Hollywood Villains bash right after! Imagine being able to go on TSM as many times until 3am! I'll have to see if the cost of it is worth it, but I think I'd rather do that than MNSSHP since I'm not much of a costume person.

It is a good feeling... course, I wanted to start my fall one.. but since this new trip is only a month away I figured I should plan for it a bit. Not to mention... I have to do more research for it.

Ugh to the lost luggage and not getting it for two more days! That's a bummer, but at least it was all summer clothes. Only thing we ever lost were our skis on one trip and we knew they were going to Miami because there was no room on the plane. Strange location for snow skis.

So I had to share with those of you who fly sw. I am a bit disappointed.

I am posting about it here since it mostly has to do with our december trip.

If any of you followed my PTR for the trip, you know that I changed the flight and was issued a credit, or "travel funds" were placed into my account for a future trip. To be used with in a year. Okay...so the year is near up and I am about to book our flights for our fall trip. In my mind... the funds expire in a few days so I should be able to use them to book, right?


WRONG!

When they say use... they mean USE. In other words I would have had to fly by the expiration date not book another flight. Makes me a bit frustrated.....and disappointed.


And Tammie... there you have some flight woes from me...just as you suspected would be happening soon..
