Anyone have a suggestion for a good Disney book???? I like to read about the "inside information" for attractions. For example, what the names on the Main Street side stores mean, how ToT works, etc.

I will probably have to order it from Amazon or Barnes and Nobels since is only Waldens nearby.

Thanks!
Karen

Great question KarenB  Bumping you up and hoping to check back later to find a great answer! There just might be going to be TWO orders for that book :>)

Happy Day!

I honestly haven't gotten any recently so I would love to know too :)

Funny you should post this with all the Harry Potter talk. I have tried several times to read the first Harry Potter book, but I just get lost and confused with all the characters, etc. I am bound and determined to read this book though. I have never been a reader, never read books in school, and it is definatley one thing I wish I could change.

Anyway, we were just talking about how many pages these books are and how wonderful that children (and adults) are reading them!! DH knowing that I am not a reader (he is and is always encouraging me) was joking about how would I ever finish a 400+ page book, I said give me any kind of Disney books, and I can do it! I just read the Unofficial Guide (as well as several other WDW guide) cover to cover and loved every minute of it:D

So I am definatley up for some Disney books (other than my DS storybooks, which I have already read:p )

I bought a book on ebay about 2-3 weeks ago that is called The Little Big Book of Disney by Monique Peterson. This is a hardcover book that has beautiful illustrations/pictures and fun facts about all things Disney. Easy read with tons of pictures!

I also read the Walt Disney biography by Bob Thomas that gives wonderful insight and back stories into Walt's life.

Try looking on ebay for books...you can usually get some pretty decent deals.

I just ordered a few books from bookcloseouts.com. Just type in "Disney" in the search and there are a few books in there.

Whoops! I actually do have a wonderful book on Disney history and little known info. And, if you are like me and have fond memories of the first years of WDW, you are sure to enjoy it.

"Since the World Began: Walt Disney World The First 25 Years" Text by Jeff Kurth Foreword by Roy E. Disney

I am rereading it now. I completely forgot what a gem this book is. :o Oh, and the photos are wonderful, with many dating back to Walts acquisition of the land.

Happy reading everyone!

Nicki
