in the midddle of packing right now....bug spray needed?

We leave on Monday for a week long vacation! I'm in the middle of packing and was wondering if I need to bring the can of bug spray. How are the bugs down there?

I have never needed bug spray but just in case it wouldnt hurt to pack it...

You might want to bring it just in case, especially if you're staying at WL woodsview. We were facing the little pond and after it rained and rained, when I noticed the mosquitos.

I think Disney does a really good job of spraying. We've never been bothered, and with that location it would be a natural bug heaven.

If you are staying at POR or POFQ you will need bug spray on the boat to DTD. I got attacked four years ago and needed to go to First Aid to get antihistamines. Of course bugs love to bite me. I guess it depends on how sweet they think you are.

So that would be a YES! If you have no room for the spray, buy the Wipes, they work good too.

I took some and didn't use it, of course we did get bit a couple of times so I wish we had.

I did learn that Disney does not spray for bugs that frequently. Instead they work with several different other programs such as dragonfly release, and different types of birds who love to eat mosquitoes. Pretty cool stuff!

Yes ! We always carry some & have never regretted it. My DH & DS are bug magnets ! I always spray everyone before we head out to the parks. WE learned that lesson after one stay at WL & both got bit by mosquitos.

Just got back today and yes, pack the bug spray. There were lots of bugs out at the docks at the WL.

I am a big bug-magnet. I have never used bug spray at WDW and do not recall ever getting bitten.

I would say Yes!! We stayed at the Polynesian in June and my entire family got eaten while we tried sitting on the beach and such, and trust me, they do not have bug spray there cause we looked everywhere!!!!

I am a huge bug magnet and I have never gotten bit at WDW..... until this trip! We stayed at POR and I had many bug bites. I was the only one out of my family, but it seemed that the bugs were everywhere. We didn't get much rain the 10 days we were there, but we heard that it had rained a lot of days straight before we arrived. Maybe tht had something to do with it.
