In the last few weeks has anyone been getting into their DVC room later than 4 ?

Just planning for timing for walmart delivery. Not chancing 4-5, but anyone have to wait until after 5 or so before getting room?

On our last trip, our room wasn't ready until about 8 PM, but we weren't arriving at the airport until about 10 PM and said as much during.omline checking so they could prioritize having rooms available sooner for those arriving earlier.

The parties staying in that room will arrive at about 12:30 and 3. We will come in the day before in our own room, so no need for a room early but the sooner the better.

We just got our room now. At the beach club. I never got a text with a room number so I had to go to the front desk

Last fall, we didn't get into our villa at BCV until about 5pm. We never got a message until we checked with the desk around 4:15 and they told us it wasn't ready yet and that we had a problem with one of our magic bands. It seems like BCV is always the resort we have to wait to get into our villa.

In our most recent trip last week, our Studio at BLT was ready early - around 1pm. Our 1 BR at Boardwalk wasn't ready until sometime between 4:15 and 4:30 (requested a 2pm check in), and our 1 BR at Saratoga was ready at about 3pm (also requested 2pm check in).

We checked into BCV at 6:30am on 3/20 and our room wasn't ready at 4:30pm when we checked back with the front desk. They moved us to a different 1BR that was ready (so we didn't get our room request as a result) at that time, so we get into our room around 4:45pm. No idea when our room would have been ready.

We weren't upset and knew not to expect a room until 4pm, but were a bit surprised they couldn't have it ready by 4:30p when they knew we were there and checkout is 11:00am.

We did online check-in and said we'd be there at 7am - so that clearly didn't matter.

It seems we never get a room notification before 4 PM. This past March trip to BWV, we had to go the front desk to get our room number but that was around 5:30.

January split stay had great checkin times. Poly sent us room ready text before we even got out of MCO around 10/11am. 2 days later we moved to BCV and the text was sent 8am. Very pleasantly surprised with those and they honored room requests at both. It was low attendance, mid-January when virus numbers were peaking. Likely more challenging during high season but still I appreciate the great experiences.

OKW early Dec ‘19... not good. We kept waiting and finally we left AK to go to the front desk at 5:00p. Desk finally got us our 1BR at 5:35, we go in and eye watering peppermint. Don’t know what issue they were trying to mask but the remedy surely was worse. It was burning our nose and eyes after 2 minutes. I didn’t even go in the bedroom where it originated. Can’t imagine sleeping in there. Call the desk. Their response: have a room without the one thing we requested, the extra door to the bathroom. After hours of waiting 3rd time was the charm. We paid cash for a villa... not sure if that’s technically 3 or 4pm checkin but either way we did not enjoy the wait or the run around. They acted like our experience was normal. Wasn’t impressed. It ruined our evening plans. Resorts redeemed themselves on our next trip tho 😊

same here. Checked into AKL this past weekend and never got a text. went to the front desk to see if by chance we could get in a little early, and found out that our room was ready. That was 2:30pm.

I have been fortunate, Our room at VGF was ready at 3:30 this week and at RIV she found us an open room when we switched there at 11:30 am!

3 weeks ago at Vero we didn’t get the room ready text until 5:15pm. Thankfully we didn’t wait around for the room to be ready! (We almost did but decided to grab an early dinner) Oh and this was an inn room

Our room at BLT was ready by 1pm. We have had the worst waits historically over all our DVC stays at BWV. We have had many check ins there where our room was not ready at 4 pm.

In Jan, our Kidani room was ready by 1:30 and our BLT room was ready by 7:30 am. One thing I read to do for a split stay was to officially check out of the first resort to speed up the check in process for the second resort because otherwise you are checked out at 11:00am. It worked in our case, but it was a slower time.

We got back last week. Our pop century room was not ready until 5:30, which was fine as we were still on a plane. We moved to Bay Lake and it was 6 pm before our room was ready. I was ticked off. We asked at the front desk politely (I sent my husband because I was irritated and I know it’s not the desk attendant’s fault). My husband came back with a nice resort credit for the “hassle” and a guarantee our room would be ready in an hour. We sat poolside and had some drinks. :)

We did a split stay for the first time. On 4/2 our room at AKV was not ready until about 5pm. On 4/6 our room at BLT was ready 3:20pm. Not too bad in all. We had family who were already staying at BLT, so we took an Uber from AKV to BLT and left our bags and groceries in their room. I was not taking a chance of waiting on our bags and groceries to be brought over bell services.

I didn't take a chance. I have the walmart deliveries set up for 7 -8 pm. We are getting there (in a studio) a day early, so when they get there , we have a place to hang out, but not for a few hundred dollars of groceries.

We are getting an order on Saturday, so we will have some juice boxes, etc ready for when they come. But won't have space for lots of cold stuff.
