In terms of food: Liberty Tree Tavern or Tony's?

Princess Amy: OOOhhhh, you didn't say it was to celebrate your son's birthday! Well.... Does your son enjoy interaction with the characters? Some kids don't, in which case I would do Tony's--but otherwise LTT. Make sure they will be there, because, again, I think they are only there at supper. 'Supper' is the last meal of the day, for those of you above the Mason-Dixon line.

We are celebrating my DGS's second birthday on our upcoming trip, and we will be doing that at LTT.

Sorry we can't give you a definite answer! The reason we can't be more helpful is because they are both pretty good--and that's a good thing! Either one will be fine--it's just a matter of taste and personal preference.

When is your trip? I had a tough time getting ADR's at the times I wanted, and I booked awhile ago.

You all helped me decide on our choice. And we choose.......both...

We scheduled lunch for Tony's for the day we were questioning about.

Then we squeezed in LTT for dinner one day, since we had an early lunch at Sci-Fi.

I couldn't make up my mind....then I thought...ah what the heck....let's get the best of both worlds.

And I didn't have a hard time making an ADR. I got the time I chose on both!!!

Our LTT ADR is for 5pm on 12/3. I had to make it early because of the MVMCP. We are attending it the following night. And our Tony's ADR is for 12/7 at 1pm.

Now remember, for the evening meal (, supper, dinner, whatever you call it in your neck of the woods) LTT is a set menu of Holiday type food, turkey, dressing, ham, pork roast, that type of stuff. Tasty, but you don't have a choice. So, if you don't want a set menu you may want to go elsewhere.

I have never been to Tony's, so I can't help you there.

But, it is the tradition in my family to have lunch at LTT every time we are at WDW. I plan on keeping that tradtion when I go on my solo trip. I have never had bad food or service at LTT. In fact, I had the best soup I ever tasted at LTT one year. It was a nice beef & barley or beef & mushroom. It's been at least 15 years, so I can't remember. I just remember it was wonderful on a cool, rainy day. I also rec the Pilgram's feast.

Looking over the menu, I'm thinking of trying the panini this time round.

They do serve more than Thanksgiving fare. They have a penne pasta dish that I've heard is very tasty.

LTT! It will be much less crowded to watch the parade from Liberty Square or Frontierland. You can also avoid much of the crowd on Main Street leaving the parade by going ove the Adventureland bridge and through the Main Street shops. You could also catch the train at Frontierland and have a leisurely trip around the park to the main entrance.

For food I like LTT better. I like Tony's better for the decor, but LTT does have the characters at dinner.
