In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

Wow - busy day and I am just too tired to keep up. Tracked my food - on point calorie wise. Exercised - 1 hour of weights and 30 minutes of spinning. Now I am off to bed as I am exhausted.

Welcome back everyone! You have been missed. I'll be back tomorrow when I am better rested.

Good night...

Ok now...I *hate* when this thread is not at the top of the page. It was down in the middle. :headache: Yes, I am competitive about *everything.*

SUPER sore today after yesterday's speedy 10k. But I will head out again today. Shorter and slower, though.

 I'm up! I was at the gym already.

I'm feeling pretty good today after yesterdays 7 miles. Today's workout was much gentler on my body. Elliptical, leg strength work, core and some nice stretching. Tomorrow I meet with Erin. :scared:

I'm awake. I have to admit J Cash and I had a super lazy morning. working on unpacking from our NC trip and putting away Christmas now.

I have to say I feel SO much better after only one day of drinking a reasonable amount of water and eating halfway healthy food. It was so hard to go grocery shopping yesterday. When I was PG, I was a bottomless pit with no aversions or morning sickness so I was buying anything that sounded good. Yesterday I filled my cart with veggies, fruit, lean meat, and all that good stuff.:thumbsup2

Tomorrow is the postpartum check up with the doctor. Then training officially commences for the princess!! :woohoo:

Hey ladies! I've been so much better about drinking water the past week or so and I have so say I feel so much less bloated then I have in awhile.

Anyone have any suggestions about how to help with my back? It feels slightly better but it's still achy.

Hi all.
I put in my vacation request for the princess today. So I am all set
Oh I have to still train. Ha. Ha. Short run on the dreamill today
9 miles planned for the weekend.

Meg the only advice I have is rest it

Hi Everyone!

Kelly- I had been running before but I started getting serious about training for a half about this time last year. It was one of the best decisions I've made. I recommend reading Running for Mortals. I find its just helpful to read a story from someone who has been there.

I have a really random mix of songs on my running mix. Country to dance music, to loud rock to music from Glee. Anything that I would listen to while getting ready to go out on a Friday. It's all about finding what gets you pumped.

Nancy- You sound like me with clothes. Although if I wear something too warm I'm not really bothered either. But all of my races this winter I've found that I can't stand wearing gloves for.

I'm also in the camp of not needing much from a sports bra. I buy the most basic under armour sports bra and I'm good to go. I literally have zero chest when I wear it. I did find the champion sports bras from target do make me feel a little fuller when working out.

Great advice, thanks Meg!
This year is SO your year - new haircut = awesome things happening!

Goal met. I tracked it all today, and no alcohol. I burned a ton of calories during my into-the-wind run today. So even though my calories are a bit on the higher side of my range I'll call it a win.

Nancy & Paula - :thumbsup2 awesome on tracking and meeting goals!

Me too - I hate to scroll down the page!

Amy & Meg - I have spent today drinking water instead of hot drinks at work and I feel so much better after just one day!

Meg - Back pain. My nemesis! A few things to doctor suggested to me was when I was lying down to put a pillow underneath my back to support it. Also, a hot water bottle in a pillowcase or towel and put it to where it aches. Hope it feels better soon

Cathie - Feel better soon

I dug the stepper out today so at least I can get my legs moving whilst im waiting to get my running shoes! I am so excited to begin running but I know I need to wait to get the right gear first - im so impatient!

At the minute Im having a rest - 1st day back at work was a killer! - and Im watching Dog the Bounty Hunter THS on E Entertainment :rotfl2:

Hope everyone is having a great day :upsidedow

Hey team. At soccer practice so I can catch up. I actually told my kid to put her homework away because it was time for soccer and that's more important. Ha!

Nice recovery run today. I am truly sore today but forced myself out there anyway. 3.1 in 29:03. Tomorrow is elliptical and then going for anywhere from 5-7 on Thursday.

Watching the new season of BL. It makes me cry every time. I know that I struggle with my weight, but OMG it is nothing. NOTHING. compared to these folks.

WOOT!!:cool1:

Still speedy mcspeedster! :car:

Today I was hungry. Definitely hungry! I haven't yet tracked my dinner (I will) but I'm sure I'll be on the high side again. My food choices were all healthy, just....numerous :rolleyes1

(I could not bring myself to treadmill) 30 mins on the elliptical all the while Alaina is patting my belly and asking for uppy uppy uppy! :upsidedow

Good news! I just finished my tracking and (drumroll please!!!) I am slightly UNDER my alloted calories for the day thereby leaving myself room for a little snack tonight :cool1:

Hi! Nothing doing here. Just saying hi. Tracking, thinking about TMing, drinking less...the norm! :rotfl:

Still having trouble climbing on the wagon. I did well for lunch and was derailed by dinner.

Next week I get to be in San Antonio Sun-Fri and Charlotte Fri-Sun. Whee.

Woot!

Not under. Want a bag of chips. Chocolate, potato, anything. Also, maybe wine while I whine. And, this, friends, is why I oink. :rotfl:

I wanted chips earlier. I had carrots instead. It was definitely not the same. Not even close. I sorta gagged because my mouth felt it was being jipped :crazy2:

But listen. You know if it's one of those "hafta" have deals. If it is, measure out your serving of chips and enjoy them. It's better than trying to deny yourself then finally giving in and eating the whole bag.

Just booked my airfare for the Princess. $230 round trip with all the millions of taxes and fees. Two different carriers but I'm flying at times I want to be and for the best price I could get.

Erika- Do you have your flight down yet? Don't know what your travel plans are but $110 out of Logan on Jetblue early Friday morning. Thought I'd share because airfare seems to be horrible that weekend.

Lots more to say but the new boy is calling me shortly so I have to run.

Hi gang!

Well the past week of tracking and getting my big ole butt to the gym paid off with a 2.6 pound loss this week!!!! Whoo hoo I am so happy about that as it totally gives me the motivation to keep going for another week.

To our running speed goddesses - be kind to your bodies please. You have a race coming and I wouldn't want you to do anything but rock it. As we say in our Team in Training group - Go Team!

Hope everyone is doing alright tonight. Last night's workout went well bdid most of it on my own due to a scheduling snafu on Jesse's part. he wrote out what I had to do and I followed it. It made me realize that I need to learn how to plan my own workouts. Something to work towards I guess.

Have a great night and I'll talk to you all tomorrow.
