Happy Thanksgiving, Goddesses!
We had a small-ish year here. Only 10 people. But it was nice. I cooked (a ton!) and it was well received....which is always a bit of a challenge since as vegetarians we don't serve turkey. It was an eclectic group, which again can be a bit of a challenge, not knowing how everyone will mesh. But again, it went well.
After company left and the kitchen was cleaned up and leftovers puts away, I decorated the whole house for Christmas. Everything but the tree and that will go up tomorrow (our property abuts a Christmas tree farm, so we literally just walk out back and cut down a gorgeous, perfect Maine tree).
My shopping is 100% done and the decorating will be 100% done tomorrow. My Christmas cards have been ordered and should arrive any day. All I will have left to do is wrap. So that feels great. I ADORE this season. And I find that I just don't enjoy it if I am running around shopping and stressed out. So if I get everything done right away, then I have a much better time.
And of course this year we are throwing a major vacation in the middle of it all. I am *almost* done planning/prepping. At least I have some ADRs now. But not all.
LISA--YES, to what Meg said. Just LOVE it when you are here!
MEG--AWESOME 5k time! You kicked that race's a$$ and took its name!
Kelly--you are making me laugh!
Nancy--so glad you broke up with your family this year. I so remember your struggle last year. Now, if we can just get them to shape up for Christmas....
Liz--I know I said it just the other day, but I am so thrilled to have you back here!
Ronda--sounds like you are having a great week-end with family.
Food-wise I had a great day. Didn't deny myself but managed to totally stay on plan, too. So definitely a victory. The real challenge now will be dealing with all of the leftovers. There is a TON.
Hope you all had a wonderful day. I am so thankful for my wonderful friends!
