Hope everyone is doing well. My week is finally getting back to normal. I chaired a panel discussion tonight for my women in construction group so there is a collective sigh of relief now that it is over.

Hopefully the rest of the week will go smoothly.

So, I did it. I rejoined Weight Watchers tonight. Ive paid for the monthly pass, fully signed up!
I have 15.5lbs to lose. I thought it was only 9lbs - talk about burying your head in the sand! But, im committed. My motivation - Wonder Woman. Yes, Wonder Woman. Its my friends 30th birthday in December and shes having a fancy dress party and me and a few of my friends are going as superheroes and I got Wonder Woman. I WILL get into that costume.

So, to keep me on track I think I will be posting my food here to keep me honest!

ugh. I don't know what has gotten into me today.

Actually - I know EXACTLY what has gotten into me. Every morsel of food that crossed my path. I swear I'm eating like it's my job today. I'm very, very annoyed with myself. :headache:

Kelly - I LOVE that you are going to be Wonder Woman. :thumbsup2 Totally and completely awesome. You know you are going to rock that costume!

Jo - when is your race again? Is it early November?

Meg- I'm not thrilled about the car payments. <sigh> a necessary evil I suppose.

Hi!

I sort of remember what it's like to be able to think or breathe. I ate lunch at 7PM today.

Oh, I'm back from Texas as of yesterday, but just as busy. Tomorrow is solid interviews from 8:30-4, and I might take Friday off so that we can replace our kitchen sink faucet (did I mention it sprays water EVERYWHERE when you turn it on?). Sat I have choir rehearsal and a concert, and Sunday is hockey.

I really do want to get off this ride someday.
 
omg. A spraying faucet would indeed be the final straw for me. That would seriously put me over the edge.

Seth got called for jury duty :rotfl2: Guess I need to contact them tomorrow and let them know he'll be in the midst of final exams that particular day....
 
Hey ladies. Running on about three hours of sleep and every piece of junk food I could find today. It's been a rough week work wise and health wise. The good news is tomorrow is my last day of work and then Friday I head down to North Carolina! I've promised myself that once I leave work tomorrow I will take a deep breath and just relax.

Kat- Glad you're back home even if you're still busy, busy.

Nancy- While I don't envy the payments I do sort of have new car envy. haha you mean Seth won't be skipping finals for jury duty? Truthfully they're pretty easy going (at least here they are) about things like that.

Kelly- You're going to be awesome and just think how great you'll look when you finally get into that Wonder Women costume.

Oh I am sure this would have not been so hard if I did not eat like a pig and dropped of few lbs..

Thanks guys! Im not a huge fan of fancy dress but sometimes one doesn't have a choice! When I got given Wonder Woman I thought 'What would the Goddesses do with a Wonder Woman costume?' And the answer - 'They would totally rock it!' So thats what I will do!

So, todays food. I get 20 points per day on WW:

Breakfast:
30g Shreddies Cereal 2.5 points
Milk allowance for the day 2 points

Snack:
Apple 0.5 points

Lunch:
WW Tuna mayo w/sweetcorn 1 point
Huge bowl of green salad 0 points
150g cooked pasta 2 points

Snack:
Crisps 2.5 points
Apple 0.5 points

Dinner:
Salmon fillet 3.5 points
New potatoes 2 points
Green Beans 0 points

Muller Lite Yoghurt 1.5 points

Treat:
Options Mint hot chocolate 1 point

So that is 19 points for the day! To be honest, I had the crisps and yoghurt just to use points - I didn't want to save too many because ive found from past experience with WW I do better if I eat pretty much all of my daily points. If I want treats I earn bonus points with exercise!

I had my first test at work today - the whole office had KFC for lunch so everywhere smelt like KFC (mmmmmmm!) but I did not have ANY and I ate my lunch that I'd taken with me. Score 1 to me, Score 0 to the diet killers! :lmao:

Me too. I definitely do much better when I eat every point. It may slow my progress down a bit at first, but it makes it so much more managable in the long run.

Sorry I haven't been around much. I am reading daily but my life has been crazy crazy lately. Today I have choir practice from noon-3 and a concert from 7-10, and then tomorrow is hockey. I took yesterday "off"... which amounted to half the work as usual, a mountain of laundry, and replacing the kitchen faucet.

I have also gained a ton of weight this fall with all of the travelling and other crap, and it has to stop. Monday is recommitment day.

I may have to drop out of the OBX half due to both lack of training, and this stupid shin. I am going to try to do 1 short run and the long this week and see how it goes, and if the shin still hurts I am going to the dr and dropping out of OBX.

I want to be able to start Princess training in December and not be out injured...
