In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

I am thinking it might be time to post our before and "afters" (in progresses) again.... Amy and Kelly, I don't think I have yours though.

But Gabrielle....we have folks on this thread who have lost from 10 pounds to 80 pounds and people who have gone from being sedentary to running marathons. If you want results, join us.

It tracks your time, distance and pace and will also give you vebal cues as to how far you are into your workout.

It TALKS to you? :scared1: Oh great. That would be *just* what I need. Something else to tell me to step it up :rotfl2: Seriously though - looks pretty cool!

I'm going to start praying to the great Zhu Zhu.

:worship: the Great Zhu Zhu :rotfl2:

I had the most A-MAZING brownies tonight. Now, ususally I'm a bit of a brownie snob, because, well, it's what I do. But my GF made these little beauties for the Cross Country awards night at school tonight. 3 kinds of chocolate, walnuts and kahlua. O.M.G. So getting that recipe.

oh - welcome Gabrielle. I don't often try to sabatoge peoples weight loss efforts, but these brownies were simply incredible.

hi everyone...

Welcome Gabrielle. This is an amazing bunch so jump right in.

Since Erika asked, here are the before and afters...

Nancy - now I am craving brownies... thanks :rotfl: Oh and you can turn off the talking voice on the ipod thingy... If only we could turn off our trainers so easily.

Ronda - thanks for the kick in the butt!! I am going to do my long walk this weekend outside. It is up to you to keep me honest on this one. Promise?

Off to catch up on some magazine reading and then bed.

PAULA! Man! I just can't ever get over it. ROCKSTAR!!!!!!! :worship:You look fabulous, dahling just fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!

I know...Paula is so totally hot! OMG, the transformation! I can't wait till March--holy skinny!

Good Friday Morning everybody!

Becca's birthday today. Yep. Friday the 13th :rolleyes1. She opened one present this morning. From Seth. She just couldn't wait any longer. She had asked him for a sweatshirt and sure enough, that's what he sent her. :lovestruc

Good morning everyone. Please bare with me while I get to know all of your names:goodvibes

I did my 6a.m. Kettlebell workout this morning and just felt tired and weak. I hate those kind of workouts!! I am hoping to jump on the treadmill sometime today as well.

Can I ask if anyone is done a certain food program? WW is a great system but it is just not working for me. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Well, I hope all of you have a wonderful day!!! And, have a great weekend!

Gabrielle - I am on Jenny Craig. Let me know if you have any questions about it and I will be happy to fill you in on the details.

Good Morning everyone!!!! Crazy day here and it is only 9:00AM. Ugh... And I am leaving early today for my training session. Jesse had to reschedule my regular Thursday night appointment because he had a date. I am totally giving him cr@p about that - way too easy there.

Off to go put out another fire...

Thanks for the kind words folks. It is only when I see the pics side by side that I truly realize how far I have come....

Goofyfan12-You look so good in the picture you posted. What a dramatic difference!! I wish I could do Jenny Craig but I have Celiac Disease (cant' eat the gluten in wheat, barley, or rye) and Jenny's food isn't gluten free. Otherwise, I would LOVE to do something like that. Thanks for sharing though!!

I can't believe it! You SUCK! And you're not even trying!

You try!:rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lovestruc;)

Top o' the mornin' to ya!

What is UP with you these days? :lmao: You loving the hubby these days? ;)

Speaking of which - I SO want a ride in that helicopter. So much. Wait! I would have to be weighed. :scared1: And thanks for the picture of the shoes. How is Molli feeling about them? I liked them. But I guess 42 year woman's likes aren't on her radar.

(yes Kat 11W - which means it doesn't matter one bit what I like in shoes at all. Not at all. I just bought my first pair of boots in hmmm ten years and I hate them but I don't have a lot of choices. Jean is 11 probably N but who cares - it's not like she buys any girl shoes. )

And the houses. Wow. You must both be so proud, eh? Fulfilling to see all your work. Must be. I loved the windows on the back of one. Just beautfiul Lyz. Gorgeous work. You know how I love glass and windows.

Hello All,
I am new so I hope it is ok that I post:flower3:
My name is Gabrielle and I live in Pennsylvania. In August, I started working out again after being away from exercise, and having gained about 100lbs, for over 5 years. I am doing kettlebells twice weekly with a trainer and yoga at home a few other days a week. I am casually tracking my points using weight watchers but because I exercise so much I don't get too upset if I am a few points over daily.

I am turning 40 in April and really want to make some progress on my health and weight. So far I have lost 10lbs. and about 15 inches overall.

Eventually I would love to do some kind of disney marathon (something that I don't know much about but have a deep interest). I also have a dream of lossing this weight and then going to Disney to enjoy it without joint pain or worrying about exceeding the weight limit on the rides:cool1:

So that is pretty much my story. Can't wait to get to know all of you and supporting one another in achieving our goals!!!

Hi Gabrielle. Welcome!!!:flower3:

I'm going to start praying to the great Zhu Zhu.

Okay - I know you explained already but I'm going to look and don't want to look like a mad woman - so what am I saying? :surfweb: Anything?

I'm down .9 for the BL. Youngins!!!! GET IT DONE!!! I never believed this over 40 stuff ever but it's true. It's just not as easy anymore. GET IT DONE!!!!

Paula - glad to hear your mom is doing okay.

Dawn - still waiting on my pic. :rolleyes1

Yes Erika you so suck as a mom because NO ONE has ever made that mistake. ;) How is she?

Hi everyone. :flower3::lovestruc

Hey all....

So the last couple days have been rough but I am starting to pull through. Life seems so fragile right now, and I am reminded that anyone I love could be gone at any time. So I want you all to know that your friendship has meant a great deal to me. The amount of support and just community-feeling I have gotten here has been incredible, and I never felt like I belonged anywhere more in my life. So thank you. You all mean the world...from the bottom of my heart.

So excited. Carlos and I are having a date night tonight...and he's taking me ice skating! Haven't been in years, should be so much fun. Lots of butt bruises haha! Thinking it should be quite the workout. Good distraction from an otherwise tough week.

Also, paying off my very LAST payday loan payment today. At one point I had 5 of these dang things, and eventually got them all on payment plans to pay them off each in 6 payments. It's taken me all year but FINALLY out from underneath them. I am so happy. I am finally able to start saving some money. Moving home really stunk, but getting myself financially stable was sooo worth it.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Gabrielle--we have people here doing all sorts of programs. WW, Jenny Craig, just tracking on SparkPeople, low carb, to just "being careful and eating smart."

And Lisa is SO RIGHT. For those that are younger...omg, losing weight in your 20s is leaps and bounds easier as opposed to two decades later! When I was 23, the weight literally fell off. Now? At 40, OMG, I am lucky to get 2 pounds in an entire month. Infuriating. (Yes, Nancy and Lisa--in just 2 short weeks you can welcome me to your decade, though most people think I am already 40. Nice, eh? ;))

For those who have big plans...have a great week-end! Blissfully, we have a quiet week-end ahead. Just 2 soccer games on Saturday and nothing else in the schedule at all. :cloud9:

Ice skating! After my own heart. You know I play ice hockey, right? Have a great time!

Everyone else, sorry I have been somewhat MIA. So depressing and gloomy here, it makes me hibernate. Freakin' Ida can leave now.

Gabrielle, welcome. I am Kat, 33, married with no children, two small cats. My name is easy to remember since it is part of my screen name! I lost a bunch of weight between 2007 and 2008 but have managed to put most of it back on, sigh.

When I am successful I follow a 1100-1400 calorie diet using sparkpeople.com. It's a free site. I also exercise 3-5 times a week.

When I am not successful... well, this is a weight loss thread so I won't go there! Suffice it to say, I don't follow any plan at all.

I have been trying to get back on the wagon now for a few months, but I just can't seem to find my footing.

Happy Birthday Becca!

You try!:rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lovestruc;)

Um, yeah!

What is UP with you these days? :lmao: You loving the hubby these days? ;)

As always, depends on the exact hour you are asking about.

Speaking of which - I SO want a ride in that helicopter. So much. Wait! I would have to be weighed. :scared1:

Lisa, you'd be fine. It's the really big ones that are questionable. Like my BIL. We held our breath. Would you fly with the door off?

And thanks for the picture of the shoes. How is Molli feeling about them? I liked them. But I guess 42 year woman's likes aren't on her radar.

She has deemed them acceptable.

Hi everyone. :flower3::lovestruc

Miss you Lisa when you are in hiding.

Oh, I thought of one more thing on your schedule!;)

We know, we all know, fat kid at fat camp.

BUSY day for me. Shouldn't even be here. Hi. Bye.

And on the bolded line - so exciting. A great moment. Enjoy.

And some people Gabriellle play it like a crapshoot. :lmao:

Erika! Yeah for 40. :dance3: How exciting. I thought of you today. I'm 15 down since the beginning of September and hardly a dent in my jeans. :sad2: I bet two pounds dents yours, yes?

You should go to WDW for the day! Yes.

 .

Ice skating! After my own heart. You know I play ice hockey, right? Have a great time!

Everyone else, sorry I have been somewhat MIA. So depressing and gloomy here, it makes me hibernate. Freakin' Ida can leave now.

.

Hasn't she made her way up to Erika yet? Miss you Kat.

Well, right now I'm eating corn nuts.

Lyz/DWD

OMG. :lmao:

And you know I adore the bold. Well you screwed the bold so I made it purple.

That mean corn nuts are out?

:lmao:

Listen soothsayer. How do you know I was in hiding?

How do you know I didn't jump some truck driving beer loving guy (yes they are in abundance:lmao:) on Main Street (because Lord knows what there is to do on a Main Street :rotfl:) and have a week long fling? Huh? Eh?

And speaking of beer - I miss you Amy!!!

As for the heli - door open is fine. Like you said if you're going down - you're going down. But the weighing. I know helicopters can only take so much weight but I also thought that the weight needed to be equal on both sides. No? Did I make that up? Quite possibly. :rotfl:

Oh and thanks for the link Lyz. But here's the thing - plug in 11W. I know I know I'm being a brat. The mukluks. :lmao::rotfl::lmao: We've come full circle.

Well, soooooory. I didn't know you were making sweet sweet love with the toothless beer truck driver. (That is what you said, wasn't it ;))

I'm not going into the WHY of why I thought you were missing, cause then you'll go missing again. I just felt it.

Not necessarily equal as much as Not Over Weight. Maddi flies all the time and she definately doesn't equal her daddy.

Bwahahahaha - Mukluks, cause every good Canadian has em! Eh!
