In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Man, I've missed you ladies!

Liz! I have so so so missed YOU! Please keep on writing your witty banter.

What? You want details? :rotfl2:

You know I do! Great start. Now I want to see BMG! Keep it coming sista.

Nancy - s.c.a.r.y. - you, your adolescent son, the open road and goats. Freaks me out.

Paula - that's not too bad. Glad you jumped on the bike. Isn't your race next weekend?

E - that's a grand idea. Meeting up for you northerners. And how IS the kindle?

Kelly - yeah, what concert was it?

LisaV - I was thinking of you whilst putting away my dishes this evening. There is no correlation, just happened to be thinking of you.

Kat - HI! I know if Liz is back on, you'll be too, so, that only works to my benefit. Hehe.

Liz - did you get a suit? I broke down and tried on shorts at JCPenny's the other night. Oh, yeah, I remember why I don't wear shorts. I look like a 64 year old woman. Amy - you keep those sexy leggs of yours in shorts year round woman!

Hi to all.

Lyz--shorts from Land's End. Awesome. I will e-mail you the link to the ones that I found and loved. And I found some from Old Navy that I know you would like.

Nancy--OMG, the goat round-up! HI LAR IOUS. Though breaking down, not so hilarious. Diagnosis?

Me? I am back to working out like a freakshow, so that is really good. I am eating way too much still, but getting it back under control. For me, usually ones follows the other. I think to myself, "Really? I am going to blow all of the working out I did today and eat this crap?" And that usually works. Hoping it will kick in soon.

Oh, I'm glad you are back to working out like crazy. You seem to be in your element at that point.

Here's a link to a pic of Bob & Molli, riding The Dragon. It's a 11 miles of road with 318 curves.Pictures 86-91

Amiee--great start to the trip report! Thanks! And yes, we will now make BMG a major "must do." They are in Boston all the time, so we may catch them there.

You have no idea how much that made me laugh!

Thanks!

See? This is why I love you!

Good morning!

Today is going to be a much better day. Why? Because I said so, that's why

Off to the gym. then to FedEx. yep. One of the results of yesterday's Great Goat Dibacle is that I didn't get to the post office to mail Seth's health papers to Norwich. You remember those health papers right? The one I had to get angry at the Doctor's office over? They're due tomorrow - and I STILL haven't made it to the post office. So FedEx it is.

my plan for today: water. No wine (I'm so saturated with alcohol - practically pickled right now :rolleyes1). and good food choices. :thumbsup2

Morning! Dropping the kids at tennis and the hitting the gym! Look at us go!

Nancy, too funny--I have had stuff stacked up on my dining room table to go to the post office as well. I'll go today if you do, k?

LET'S GO, team! Sounds like we are all getting up and at 'em now. Why? Because it is bathing suit weather and we all like our cocktails (and chocolate, and guacamole, and Reeses, and.... :rolleyes1 )

Good morning....

Nothing exciting to report on here so I'll keep this short.

Nancy and Erika - have fun at the gym... I'll be there later tonight for my butt kicking...

Lyz - yes, my race is next week - gulp... and yes, I will take pics and post a race report. Are you sure you gals want to see me in bike shorts? Its not pretty...

Paula--my offer stands. If you need someone to ride with, let me know. I should be able to make it down there. I know first hand how scary a first race can be. But you can TOTALLY do this!

Hi!! Today I'm joining your group. You all seem so happy and motivated. I need to be that way, too.

I woke up and decided today is the day. I need to get back in shape. Honestly, all my clothes from last year are tight. I only have 2 pair of pants that fit right, and I refuse to buy a bigger size for my bigger butt.

I've already gone to the grocery store this morning and purchased my salad goodies. After posting here I'm getting them ready in containers I can grab when it's time to eat. My big problem is not having things prepared, so when I'm hungry I'll grab the easiest thing (which is bad for me).

DH got my exercise bike out for me.

I hope I can do this. I lost a lot in 2004 and looked pretty good. I can't believe how it all piled back on me by making the wrong food choices and not exercising. I look very, very bad now. :scared1: I also feel very bad about myself for letting myself go. However, I can't change the past. All I can do is move forward, and today is my day to start changing. :woohoo:

Anyway, just wanted to say hi. I'm off to make my salads.

Welcome Heidi!!! Feel free to tell us LOTS about yourself. Like, family? Ages? Job? Home? How did you lose the weight in 2004? What do you do for exercise? Was there an event that triggered your gain?

We will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about ourselves!

Erika - I find it sooo funny that your thing is exercise and mine is food. Honestly, we would be perfect if you could combine us. And half the phone call for Lyz, too. ;)

Nancy - YAY for the gym!!! Oh, the infamous medical forms! They just don't want to leave, do they? When does he leave for school? August something?

Lyz - Miss you, too. I still owe you a story.

Paula - Is the ride the 11th? Are you pumped???

I am going to go to my gym this week. But not today. In lieu of that, today I told Kim we are walking while the kids are at camp (pool club camp, $250 for 8 weeks every day 12:30-4. Can you feel the JOY through the computer?)

So far, ate oatmeal for breakfast, took calcium, and tracked!

E - Thanks again for the offer to ride with me. And while, I would love to do the ride with you, you have been busy every weekend since like January and I really don't want to impose more travel time on you. I am not really scared about the ride yet because I know I can handle the distance. I am nervous about the whole riding in a group thing, but the only way to overcome that is to actually do it right? Besides, driving how many hundreds of miles to ride your bike for ten miles seems a little anticlimatic to me.

My sister and my parents are planning on being there to cheer me to the finish line so that will be cool.

I am pretty excited that the big day is almost here. The idea of doing a group athletic type event is a huge milestone for me so I am really pumped about accomplishing this goal. Besides, I know I have all of you cheering me on from where you are so how can I fail right?

Heidi - welcome to the group!!!! So glad you are here. Please tell us a bit about yourself and what your gameplan is. You'll see that we are do our own thing, but love to bounce ideas of eachother. You never know what trick may work right? Don't be shy!!!

Cross FedEx off my list, because it's done :thumbsup2

Ain't that the truth :lmao:

Well - funny you should ask. For months now, Seth & I thought that he was supposed to report on August 20th. Last night I was on the website looking at the list of things he's required to bring and it said that the 2009 arrival date was August 23rd! Imagine that! We woulda been REALLY early :rolleyes1

8 weeks. Every afternoon - for $250????? :woohoo: A-mazing. Is it too late to sign MY kids up? ;)

:yay: Paula, you are going to ROCK that race! And the thought of people seeing me in the bike shorts doesn't scare me as much as my helmet hair does :scared1:

Dawn - if your out there - hope your trip is going well!
