In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

umm...ok...but there's still the issue of getting the pictures off the camera :lmao:

speaking of which....I have pictures from San Antonio. :yay: Too tired to deal with them tonight. But I promise a picture or two tomorrow!

You have to take the first step there... :rotfl:

LisaPR - that is a bit scary about Shelby. I hope she is ok. Please keep us posted and keep the smoothies flowing for her.

Not much to report on here. I am by myself today at work so it is going to be a long and dull day with no one to physically talk to. I have to check on the crews a few times over the course of the day, but that's it. At least it is Friday right?

Had a good core workout last night with Jesse. I even managed 10 full pushups in addition to the countless others off my knees so I am making progress on those - yeah!

Well, time for me to go make my rounds. Catch you all later...

Happy Friday!

LisaPR - so scary about your girl! It is a proud moment to see them work through the pain and at the same time a reality punch to the gut that they do not want to just be hurt and have a bit of momma sympathy. I am glad she wanted you to make her a smoothie. Makes a mom feel not so helpless!

Treyner's last day of school. My last day of making him a school breakfast. The seniors are pulling a mild Sr. prank. They are driving any large vehicle or vehicle they have and parking kiddy corner in parking spaces so the underclassmen have to park in the back lots. One of his best friends has a farm so he is driving one of the big, many wheeled tractors with a fresh dredge of manure. The seniors got shirts made that say "I will miss this school" on the back and Pinnochio on the front with a nose that stretches all the way around the shirt. Silly thinking back to high school and how ready you thought you were to leave.

The best though was that he was in his car, ran back in the house and gave me a hug and kiss goodbye and said thanks for all the mornings I made sure he ate a homemade breakfast and had clean clothes.

Nancy - I am needing another set of contacts from tearing up all the time and fogging them over! As much as snow days stunk for you, I would love just another week!

We did finish the basement rec room. The wallpaper border I found was perfect to have that special touch it was missing. I will have to upload some pics to show ya.

K - off to paint the landing. I will not want to paint again for years! 4 coats of "Mickey Pants" red yesterday in the downstairs bathroom!

You are deserved of your new bling and so much more! Very proud Paula! Maybe you will be a personal trainer later on. You would inspire me more than a person who always has enjoyed working out or always been fit!
I can see it now..."America's Next Top Trainer" Season 3 Winner!:worship:

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. Some days I have absolutely no desire to be there and that is where having the trainer helps. I know he is expecting me, I know he needs to be paid and he kicks me in the bummocks to get me through the darn thing. We call those nights the getting the dam thing done nights.

I go because I like the results I am getting. I won't lie - it is hard work, but the rewards are worth the investment and the committment.

Besides, I am not trading in my hard hat for gym shorts anytime soon. :rotfl:

Thanks though.

LisaPR-- That is so scary about shelby. I hope she continues to feel okay.

Paula--It sounds like your workout was great! And thanks for refreshing my memory on the JC stuff. It sounds like you have a good plan for working yourself off the JC food.

Nancy and Dawn-- You are both just reminding me to enjoy every second while D is little.

Kat-- WTG on signing up for the races!

As for me-- DOWN this week. 1.5 pounds from my lowest a few weeks ago pre-NC. I am officially in the 170's! Finally. 4 more pounds and I can officially claim my 50 pound bling. I could probably claim it now, but I never got on the scale at my heaviest.

AMY!! Congrats!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

LisaPR, sorry to hear about Shelby. Hope she feels better soon.

Paula, I hear ya on the forcing yourself to exercise. I have been going more or less regularly over the last 2 years (sometimes more dedicated than others) and it is really rarely something I enjoy, more something to endure.

WHOO HOO AMY!!!! :cool1::woohoo::cool1:

That is awesome news! Being in the 170's and so close to the bling - plus you are now a running queen. :worship: What a great accomplishment!!!!

Can't wait to see you sporting your new bling in what a week or two?

Lovin it...

Just WOW everywhere!

Lisa--wow for Shelby! What a kid, huh?

Paula--wow on your workout and just for being you and all Goddesslike all the time!

Amy--WOW for 170s! Holy crap! Just the other day we were all excited for you to be in the 180s!

Super impressed with all of you!

Thanks girls! It is my goal to hit the 50 pound mark by Delena's birthday on 6/25. that is like a pound a week. Hopefully it will happen sooner than that. I have a feeling though that these last 15-20 pounds are going to be the hardest to lose.

Forgot to mention that Delena and I are taking off to NC again tomorrow. totally last minute trip booked to see MIL for her birthday. It is a surprise. 78 dollars round trip!! We come back wednesday I will be bringing my running stuff and hitting their TM.

I hope to track some fat tire when I am up there.

Amy!!!! Awesome news on the 170's! You've done the work and here is the reward!!! Awesome.

Paula!!!! Also, awesome new bling. You ROCK!!!

Kat. Welcome back to the cyberclub!!! I was going to say the real world, but I think that's where you were.

Nancy & LisaPR - hang in there. May was my crazy time. Everything widing down - things get CRAZY!!!

Dawn - awww - to Treynors last day. Bittersweet. Like the change in venue to VB for your wedding.

Liz - loved the story you linked. Funny to Jodi scrapbooking. Like, ok! Does she know it's not mandatory?

E - how is today? Any better? OMG to Jeff's travel delays. I'd be ready to burst.

LisaV - where are you? DVC offers free internet access and you're sitting in a lobby somewhere people watching. Give us some WDW love.

Kelly - too bad about the BGT lady singer. Can't remember her name now. Susan. I'm glad for who asked her that question, Nancy?, I was going to.

Amiee - getting close. Are you excited.

Schools out. Children here. With me. At the office. In a good spot of news, Mol ended the year with passing grades, so she has access to cell, phones, computer, music...which means she doesn't have to stare at me all summer.

Hi to everyone else.

HAHA! I am not sure that was the real world. Or at least, the one I should be in.

Yay on passing grades! :)

Amy, Fat Tire is *everywhere* around here. Even Food Lion (our bottom of the barrel grocery store). I am sure you can score some.

Kat-- I can't believe Food Lion has it. I figured I would have to go to a specialty store or Harris Teeter.

Lyz--Glad to hear that Mol won't be staring at you all summer!!

Also forgot to mention I found a kick A$$ job to apply for. Think like the the people on CSI who work in the lab on DNA stuff. I would LOVE this job.

I am so watching CSI right now. Getting a lot more work done at home, for some reason. Good luck on the job!!

Yeah, Fat Tire is totally all the rage in R-D. Not sure if the Food Lion out in western NC will have it, though. They have it in 22 oz bottles and 6 packs in ours. It isn't terribly cheap, though.

LisaPR- yikes :scared: Scary, scary. Hope Shelby is doin' ok.

Paula - :worship: 10 *real* push ups. That is so awesome!

Dawn - last day? 4 more weeks here. June 25th. Cute t-shirt idea. I don't even want to know what our kids have up their sleeves. All I know is my son needs to keep clear of potential trouble. If he has any "law related" incidents he could screw up everything he's worked so hard for.

Besides, I am not trading in my hard hat for gym shorts anytime soon. :rotfl:

Wow. Did anyone else have a "Men At Work" image with that? :rotfl2:

Amy - :yay: down 1.5 That's AWESOME! So proud of you - almost 50lbs. OH so close!! Have a great trip to NC. How fun to surprise your MIL.

LisaV - if you are out there reading....hope you are having a great time at WDW. :wizard:

Thank GOD. We have that same deal here. If grades aren't up to snuff they lose every.thing. Until the next report card....which is a long freakin' time from now...

My daughter is on her way home from Washington DC. I think. :confused3 I hope anyway  Haven't heard a peep from her since she left Tuesday morning. I expect that means everything is going fine. She's likely to be exhausted and miserable when she gets home though....

and *I* might be taking a quick road trip up to Maine this weekend. Might be. Not sure yet - I'll find out later tonight :upsidedow

Steph, Kelly, LisaZ, Ronda, Sunny, Roddy :flower3: Hi to you guys!

Yay! Nancy's at 4K!:cool1:

I had to close tonight which meant I just got home a few minutes ago. Yuckers!

Lyz ~ I'm not the slightest bit excited about our trip that starts two weeks from today. Ok, Ok, 1 week, 6 days and 16 hours from right now.

Off to catch up some more.

Hi! J made it home, finally, and all is well. We made a quick trip up to the camp so he could see all of my hard work while he was gone and we went out to dinner, etc. Kids are SO SO happy to have him home.

Aim--have a great trip!

Lyz--school out. Yikes. I know what this means for you, but I am glad for Mol.

Nancy--keeping fingers crossed that we get to hang out tomorrow!

LisaV--ah, WDW! Must have update (but I know that you don't "do" computers when on vacation).

Liz-- to you! Sorry I missed your call.

Riley got his cast off today, so he is psyched, and he is cleared to play baseball again beginning on Monday. Both girls have games tomorrow. And then Riley and Cam both have soccer on Sunday, so that will be my week-end.

I can't believe that it is the end of May and I haven't been on the tennis court yet. Monday, though, so I am super excited for that. That also means, of course, it is time for summer husband. :lmao: I am moving up a league this year (to a more advanced team) so I am a bit nervous. Some of my old teammates are moving up, too, so at least there will be some friends and familiar faces. Not sure if I will be asked to be Captain again this year or not...I would think not, but you never know.

Off to spend time with J. :goodvibes
