In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Lyz--2300 posts!

Up on campus. Getting ready to go lecture. And catch this...I am wearing track pants and fleece--to lecture! Ha! I am just SO sore and getting pants on is positively painful. So, track pants it is. But, at least it is cold and rainy and mud season in Maine. So it is easy to get away with the casual look.

Steph--pic! Yes, send it! I will let Kelly diagnose it for you! :lmao:

Have I mentioned that Kelly wants to be a doctor? A surgeon, actually. And I really hope she does it because she would be so good. That kid has empathy in spades. Always has. Since she was teeny tiny, which is unusual. Behaviorally, kids don't develop true empathy until about age 6 or so. But she has always been that way. When anyone in the family gets sick, there's Kel. She doctors everyone. And we got her scrubs and everything, which she wears. Plus a real stethascope and real otoscope. No Fisher Price play versions for this kid. :rotfl2: It is hilarious.

Riley gets his stitches out this week and the doctor is letting Kelly take them out. OMG, she has been talking about it non-stop for a week. Riley is less than thrilled with the idea. I had to bribe him.

Lyz--TOO FUNNY! And Steph! Of course you would love that idea! You two are cut from the same cloth that way. I remember the video of Sam's cell phone when you told her it wasn't real! :rotfl2:

Roddy - guess we will all have to deal with the fact that you are going to eat across the rainbow and not turn any one color..

Paula, I've decided on cauliflower. I'm going to eat cauliflower until I turn white. But, I'm already white. So, no one will be able to tell. Or, will they?

:lmao:

Erika, I have a great idea for the "surprise" about the cruise. Tell your kids that on that date, you've volunteered them to clean up the medical waste section at some local landfill somewhere and you have to take them to have them fitted for bio-hazard suits and thick rubber gloves and boots. Then when you're leaving, "SURPRISE :wizard:" 'you're not going to clean up medical waste at all, it's a cruise:cheer2:". Then everyone will be very relieved. :rotfl2:

Huh? Huh? Sound like a winner?

I think so. :lmao:

Nancy, we will be in Greenfield, MA at Indoor Action Sports.

too far. That's about 2 hours from me, and I just don't have the time to drive that far this weekend :sad2:

Seriously. If you think I would pack ANYTHING right for Shelby on a trip you are just sadly mistaken. Fashion diva I am but I cannot even pick out the right tee and shorts to bring her for the gym. :rolleyes1

OMG no. I wouldn't attempt that either. As much as I love to torment my daughter I don't have a death wish  No, we surprised them when they were younger. And cuter. And easier to dress.

And I don't think Lyme because it hasn't been warm enough up here for tics yet, but also, it is just muscle pain in my legs only. Nowhere else.

No, with lyme I think you would expect to see more all-over aches. More like flu symptoms -but maybe I'm mistaken on that.

But now I am thinking shoes.

yes. I agree with that. And everything that Lisa said was right what I was thinking.

Do you ever see a chiropractor? Might be worth it to make sure you are properly aligned as well. And a massage may do a world of good.

I know! Follow through isn't as much fun as obliviousness! (oh, you mean I shouldn't have eaten the whole cheesecake? I had no idea!) :lmao:

:lmao:

Yes - I do this to my children, without one stitch of remorse. It's fun.

I like the way you think :rotfl2:

Weighed in. Lost! Feel like i'm on track.

:yay: Awesome, Liz!

All right off to figure out dinner... I think chicken parmaginia.

We had Shrimp Scampi. YUM-O :woohoo:

I saw it. Officially a nasty rash. And in a horrible spot. Right on her wrist where a watch would latch.

:crazy2:

Dressy fleece, no doubt ;)

so cool for her! I'm sure she'll do great. So what did you bribe Riley with?

Cauliflower Roddy? Really? :confused3

Okay, friends. I have a question. If anyone is bored or has time or anything and wants to help me figure out what to eat on this menu, I'd loooove your suggestions. I'm not as concerned about money as I am about good choices. I have ideas, but this menu is a toughy and I'm dong some planning for the weekend.

BTW, I put the peanut soup recipe in my WW points calculator and it's 9-11 pts per bowl. Wowza! I used to always get that when I went there!

And yes, Williamsburg is a place I've been a lot. Don't ask.

Steph--pic! Yes, send it! I will let Kelly diagnose it for you! :lmao:Ok tell her that there was NO blisters the first day just red and raised ( like a burn) then the next day small pin sized blisters that turned it to what the pics look like... tonight blisters are going down and there is a lot of pain. It feels like a lot of tiny needles jabbing me!

Just sent it, sorry I didn't get to send it earlier but left for weight watchers ....Drum roll please weight stayed the same! Thats good and bad. Good that I didn't gain but bad because I didn't make good choices and didn't loose.
Tracking yes
walking this week NO ( to rainy and cold ... yes it is an excuse)... 1 reason no weight loss

WOW what a brave kid! Sam nearly passed out when they took out her two stitches! I think she would have if I had done it.
Lyz--TOO FUNNY! And Steph! Of course you would love that idea! You two are cut from the same cloth that way. I remember the video of Sam's cell phone when you told her it wasn't real! :rotfl2:
OMG I totally forgot all about that Yeah that was FUNNY!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I did weight never moved! I was kinda bummed but then again I ate on the run this weekend while picking a salad for dinner I ate way to much bread!

Ok for LIZ's dinner out (can I come ... It looks great)

Skip soup..
have the
Romaine Hearts Salat Because your allergic to mold and the iceberg wedges have blue cheese

Grand mushroom~ those look tasty

for dinner
Dish of Lamb~ mmm I love lamb but don't get it to often like the last time I had lamb was 9 years ago!

And for dessert
Syllabub~
Wine-laced Cream whipped to a Froth,
seasoned with Lemon Zest,
and garnished with fresh berries$6.00
those would be MY choices!:rolleyes1:flower3:

Steph, I LOVE you for remembering about the mold!

Seriously, whenever I have a bad day one of you is totally awesome! Not that today was bad, but you know, there's been plenty, right?

Yum. Love your suggestions. On the fence about lamb. I like lamb, but how much do I like it? Rack of lamb is a lot of work. But it is yummy. And I never ever have that! See? Fence! Honestly, I'd be happy with salad and dessert there. ;) The entrees aren't speaking to me, except of course for the pan fried chicken, which comes with all that other stuff I don't need. Sigh.

Oh, and yes, come! 7:15pm, Saturday. Virginia!

Roddy, does this count as the question of the day? :rotfl:

Of course I remember about the mold, because I LOVE:lovestruc:love: Blue cheese! I always have

Ok not up for the rack of lamb then what about the grilled pork chop? Another favorite, of course there is always prime rib, which I would normally get but everything looks so good!

huh. mold. I didn't know that about you, Liz. :confused3

Steph - maintaining - not a bad thing really. :goodvibes

Today's check in:

Food: well, it WAS 27 points until I just ate 2 incredibly delicious lemon cookies from an italian cookie tray that my friend brought us. :headache:

alcohol: none

water: flooded

Exercise: all cardio. 60 min. + cool down & stretching = 75 min. 805/1800

Have a good night all. I'm headed for sleep. Have an early appointment tomorrow. And body fat testing :scared: ack. I almost hope she forgets. :rolleyes1

Liz, you know that Williamsburg is about 3 hours from here, right?

I would say everything that Steph did but probably the fish and not the lamb. Although honestly, there isn't much on that menu that is great for you, the salat has "anchovy dressing" which is likely caesar...

Sorry I have been MIA, I am reading but don't have much to say.

I did manage to start C25K today, did week 3 day 1, then came home and did 30 day shred. Whee. :)

Liz - I vote for the pork chop entree, but I prefer pork to lamb. They all look yummy though.

Hi everyone - having a crappy night due to work issues so I am just checking in to say hi. Nothing crazy, but stress inducing.

I'll be back tomorrow,
Paula

PS - Roddy - cauliflower? you know they have cauliflower that is orange and another that is purple?

Roddy, does this count as the question of the day? :rotfl:

I was actually just mulling it all over. I was looking at the lunch menu too to see if there were better choices there. And honestly, I'm not sure you can get away with eating here and staying within your WW guidelines. :lmao:

I see more than one thing I would like to try, but I'm feeling Mrs. Vobe’s Tavern Shrimp. I read the ingredients and I saw "grits" and I was like "that's Liz, that's Liz." Damn, now I want shrimp and grits.

But it all sounds delicious. Don't worry, just enjoy yourself, geez. ;)

Oh and to answer your question, ughhhhh, yeah I guess it does qualify as the question of the week. I feel it's more of "hey guys look what I'm going to eat this weekend while you're all sticking to your diets" gloating kind of a thing. But, if considering it the question of the week helps you sleep better tonight, well, then consider it the question of the week or day or month. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Oh and Blue Cheese is the most foul and disgusting culinary abomination that has ever been allowed to exist on the planet. Blue cheese should be stricken from the memories of every living individual and never spoken of again. It's evil in cheese form I tell you. :lmao:

Oh - forgot to post results:

strength training - 3 times
cardio sessions - 2 times
pounds lost - 1 pound

we did measurements again tonight and I lost 2" from my bust line, 2" inches from my waist and 2" from my hips. I am up to a total of 20" total lost. So there was some good news today.
