In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

I got a Bondi that just says TRI on it (in the oval sticker style).

And I got my mom and I matching shirts. On the front it says Triathlete with big graphic in the center of the swim/bike/run. And on the back it says:

Swim
Bike
Run
Tri
Finish

Just like that in a line down the center. I will post pics. And the kids gave me a tech shirt that says Triathamom. LOVE that.

Erika - I am loving the shirts that you got for your mom and that your kids got for you. Have a great time tomorrow!!!! You are going to rock that tri!!!

Okay, I did my power sculpt. And I am feeling overwhelmed. Like, this is going to be sooo hard to get back into. How am I going to balance all the exercise I need to do? Not when will I find time, but how am I going to fit in all the different kinds?

Like, the yoga/Pliates. I need to get back to that twice a week. And the running. And the spin. And the weights - I can't ignore weights. And I can't do anything once a week, it all needs to be twice a week to count. And I am sooo out of shape. OMG. I am weak! I have to build all kinds of endurance just to get back to the running.

See why peanut butter cups were an easier choice? ;)

Peanut butter cups may be easier in the short term, but that's about it. You can do this Liz!!!

Speaking of Harry Potter, I can hardly wait to see "Half-Blood Prince".

Well, I was expecting it from you, ":confused3 Nancy:confused3" , but not everyone else. :rotfl:

Me too... can't wait (and this is coming from the girl who works from a desk under a staircase so yes, I am Harriet Potter at work...

Where the heck is Paula? Is she having an affair with Jesse? :lmao: ;)

OMG - that is too funny... :rotfl2: I am so not having an affair with Jesse. He is way too young for me and I don't think I qualify as a cougar yet. :rotfl2:

The trip to Boston was a good one. Went to a golf expo with my friend and found a new golf bag and a new pair of golf shoes. Stopped at the Under Armor outlet outside of Boston and stocked up on some tech tees for the gym so it was a productive weekend that way. The reason I went down was to meet his new girlfriend and I totally love her already. She is awesome and frankly perfect for him. They are really happy and it wouldn't surprise me if this is the one for him. I am thrilled for him as I haven't seen him this happy in many, many years. All in all a great trip.

I have caught up on the posts and you all were busy talking about houses and closets while I was gone. I don't own a house yet (but like you Lyz have worked on my fair share for others), so I don't have much to add.

I'll be back up to speed tomorrow after I get some sleep.

Have a good one everyone and I'll catch you tomorrow,
Paula

Glad to see you liked it Paula. :lmao:

Paula, I gave into facebook. Amiee lured me with pictures. So you have to come.

And speaking of fb - I was just on and I have this to get off my chest.

Kelly!!!! Where the he!l is weight coming off of your body? Where? I'm so confused. And two I was totally stalking your husband. The boy is hot. Forgive me. Please forgive me. I feel guilty enough. :lovestruc :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

You're a sweetheart Paula. :lovestruc Glad you had a nice trip. Totally envious. I adore Boston.

I obviously need the temperature to drop back down I'm getting way too giddy.:rolleyes1

Nancy - backyard - need answers. Don't ignore cutie or I. We'll hound. ;)

I can't stand to watch these house bus tours on TLC. They make me want to cry. All I can think about is that is probably someone's house they had to let go and how would it be to see all those people in there planning the rooms.

Yes I know - they need a buyer. Or the bank does. It just makes me sad. :surfweb:

I think I need sleep badly. :wizard:

Erika --- GOOD LUCK ON THE TRI!!! Can't wait to hear how it goes. :goodvibes

Kelly, you are so thin. I am with Lisa, wondering where the weight is coming off from...

Food for today (and yes, did this on purpose):
Brunch: 2 oz pork, pan-fried, w/ 1/8 cup country gravy, 1 fried egg, 4 blueberry pancakes made w/ heart smart bisquick and fresh blueberries, 2 slices pineapple - 400
Dinner: 1 bag popcorn and spinach dip made w/ greek yogurt w/ raw celery, cucumber, mushrooms for dipping -- 250
Alcohol: 4 bud selects -- 400

Total, 1050. Might give in and have a 22 oz yuengling, but that would put me at 1300 so not sure. Exercise, 30 day shred. Water, 80 oz.

Erika, I just saw you were on and I wanted to wish you:

SUPER BEST OF LUCK THIS MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure thinking of you! Have fun with it!!!

GOOD MORNING! It is Freaking EARLY. Grossly early. Illegally early. I just keep thinking of Lyz! :rotfl2: And how much she hates mornings and loves her bed! :lmao:

Drinking regular tea. With caffeine, which I never do. But did I mention that it is EARLY?

Ok, off to check my bag one more time and make sure everything is packed and then have some oatmeal.

P.S. I have neither read nor seen any of the HP books or movies. Shocking, eh?

Good God that's right! You get up like this every day! How do you DO it??? :lmao:

Thanks, Lisa!

Erika, I do this out of necessity as I am done work early enough to get my workout in before my kids need me. I do not like it, don't ever get that silly thought! I also hate the fact that by 8 p.m. I am all in for the day.

Light beer, well, I can drink Mic Ultra but that is about my line on light beer. I am a dark beer girl, all the way to stout. Give me a tall Guinness and color me happy. Of course with the upped calorie content, I usually only have 1, maybe 2, so it's all good for me. The heavier beer is more filling to me also so I don't eat as much with is a good/bad thing. Favorite beer drink, black and blue with Guinness and Sea Dog Blueberry Ale. Least favorite beer, Smuttynose IPA which I got after the Great Bay HM last year. It was barf in a glass. Kat, I like the club soda with a shot of beer description. That fits most light beers to a T!!!!

Hmmm, I don't think I had much else to comment on. I would love a song assigned to me but I don't have any favorites. I don't have a huge closet but Shelby has a 4 x 7 which is still not big enough for a teenage girl. I would so rather be in Florida right now, pollen and all, gearing up for the Princess.

Today is a 12 mile run for me and I have made up my mind to virtually run the Princess. It will just take my mind off the fact that I am running 12 miles. Of course, next week is 14, 16, etcetera...:scared1: Seriously, whose idea was this full marathon??? I have a feeling it is my first and last as my attention span is drifting with these longer runs.

I took Shelby prom dress shopping yesterday. She tried on soooo many dresses. Most of them she did not want to try but I made her. She loved lots of them but then found one that she did not want to take off so I knew we had a winner. She wanted to put it back on after she tried on all the others. It made me smile. It is a very plain light blue floor length dress with nice wide straps. Not too low cut and a higher back like she wanted. It has a little bling on it but nothing outrageous. No ruffles, no lace, no sparkles (except the on little one) and very much her style. After hair and make up she will be stunning. I will post a pic when the time comes. She also liked the fact that she could get sequined flip flops to wear with the dress and it did not drag. She is already 3 inches taller than her boyfriend so heels were not happening. :goodvibes She tried it on for Mike when she got home and he got all teary. It was a great girls day out.

I also found another pair of jeans that I loved. The fit and the feel of them were great and also Michael Kors which I totally love ALL of his stuff. I bought both pairs thinking Mike would like them as much as my other MK jeans and I got a "eeeh" on them. So much for that. I will take the second pair back and keep looking. I thought they fit the same but he says they don't. Whatever.

I hope everyone has a super great day. It is supposed to be sunny and high 40s here again so I am looking forward to being outside running if nothing else!!

GO ERIKA GO!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My mother is a cop show freak. She watches all the CSI's and NCSI or whatever it is. She get's angry when I make fun of The Ginger Vampire. :lmao:

I watch them all too - all 3 CSI's, NCIS, all the Law and Orders - its a wonder I have time to do anything else! :rotfl:
Ginger Vampire

I finally was able to eat semi-solid food today. Bruce grilled me a little hamburger, and i was able to little by little eat almost half of it! Yay me, i'll be back to chewing in no time! :headache:

I hope you feel better soon

Just a friendly reminder....don't forget to change your clocks!

LisaV & Kelly - do you guys do that too? or is it just an American thing?

Over here we change our clocks forward on the last Sunday in March!

Dinner - sushi, good. Drinks, wine, yum. We discussed being the Spice Girls for Halloween this year - we were Rocky Horror last year. I got voted as Posh. Shocker, right? :rotfl: Jodi as Sporty, Mary wanted and got Baby, and we drafted another friend as Ginger. And I told Greg he has to be Scary. Because a man being Scary is awesome.

So. Have to go to bed so I can exercise tomorrow. Oy to the vey. This will pay off, right?

I love Rocky Horror! I think its great you are dressing up as the Spice Girls, I cant wait for pics!

Kelly, you are so thin. I am with Lisa, wondering where the weight is coming off from...

You guys are too kind.
The weight loss - I am all a$$ and thighs. Top half is freakishly thin compared to the bottom half. Thats why I do the dance dvd and the cross trainer - try to work the bottom rather than the top!

I will NOT be telling hubby that you think he is hot :lmao: He would never get his head through the door if I did - he has enough self confidence for the two of us! :rotfl:

GOOD MORNING! It is Freaking EARLY. Grossly early. Illegally early. I just keep thinking of Lyz! :rotfl2: And how much she hates mornings and loves her bed! :lmao:

Strangely, you were the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning (7.30am my time)!

EriKa - When my alarm went off the first time, I thought of you (and prayed for you) and then from that point on, I dreamed about you swimming and running with the masses. You posted your time on the computer. It was 4hrs, 4 minutes and 8 seconds. :rotfl: Isn't that hilarious! Ok. So I am super excited to hear how you are doing!!!

Paula - so glad you like T's girly. That's so important.

LisaV - haha, FB is good for the curious.

LisaPR - glad you found "the" dress.

I noticed the Kelly lack of fat also!

Ok, busy day. Bye

This may sound like a pretty stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway.

Is the Princess Half a "women's only" event? :confused3 I was just on the official website, and it says to be eligible you must be over the age of 14. Doesn't say anything about GENDER. Of course, registration is closed, so I can't go thru a mock-registration process to see if it asks.

Just curious - because if I'm training, I'm sure Stephen will train with me. Not that he would *have* to run it, but I'm betting he would. And dang, that tiarra would look just STUNNING on him

:rotfl2: I could see it Princess Stephen! :lmao: :lmao:

My first thought was red. I hope they were red. Then I realized. You WALKED to a candy store? How far is that from you. Criminey. I live in the friggin' STICKS.

Steph walks to the tanning salon. You walk to the candy store. The closest *anything* to me is a solid 4 miles. Well - except our little post office & library branch - we have little "satellite facilities" for those of us stick people

UMMM HELLLO I live in the sticks!!! I have to DRIVE 20 MILES to get anywhere! The tanning SALON is a hair place that is in town and she thinks because she has the market on everything she can charge WAY TO much for stuff! But really all we have in town is a stewarts- ie: convenient store, a post office, a hair salon and a bank and a car dealership and a doctors office coming soon! Oh and the school that is K-12. And don't forget a BAR! That I was kicked out of years ago for being to rowdy... yes me! go figure!

The trip to Boston was a good one. Went to a golf expo with my friend and found a new golf bag and a new pair of golf shoes. Stopped at the Under Armor outlet outside of Boston and stocked up on some tech tees for the gym so it was a productive weekend that way. OK Paula where is the under armor outlet , you need to spill ! So does your friend live right in Boston or north of boston, south of boston because I am from the South shore! Like if you drive to the cape you have to drive right through my hometown! One of my friends just moved to medford which is North of boston but she works in my hometown actually in the hospital that I was born in... which I find cool!

Ok so Last night I knew a friend was having a party so I himmed and hawwd about going after work (11pm you know) So I go and just as I walk in to her house my cell rings, its a restricted number and I answer it and it's Stephen Ty's sick and I need to get home fast! Great I said helllo to a previous co-worker and I leave just as fast as I got there! I get home and got to deal with a sick kid. We slept on the couch the three of us Tyler me and Mocha. I think Mocha had most of the couch! I managed to talk Tyler into going to bed after Steph left for work at 3/4 or what ever the time was! I was relieved when both boys slept late.OH I can't wait till they are teenagers and they sleep all the time I WILL WAKE THEM UP! EARLY!!!
OK Need to feed kids! and try to rest! I have work tonight.

:wave2:LISA :wave2: NANCY :wave2: TO EVERYONE ELSE TOO!

ERIKA GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!:worship: :worship: :yay: :yay: :dance3: :dance3: :cheer2::woohoo:

Steph - bout freaking time you logged on more than once in a week. Girl!

I MOVED THE COMPUTER TO THE LIVING ROOM .... it will be better it will be there in my face screaming at me to log on! LOL Now you'll wish that it was Back upstairs I;ll be on all the time!
