In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

And she squeals, "I have maternity sunglasses?" With a look of horror on her face! It was classic.

:rotfl: Can you imagine, maternity sunglasses. I was rolling.

That's awesome! :lmao: :lmao: And she's at that "age" when that would be such a horrifying thought!

Is it wrong that I like goats.......................................

in rotis?????????????????

It's wrong, isn't it? ;)

nah, not at all! we do eat them too... :goodvibes

"Mommy, do mannequins come from dead people?"

"No, honey, they're made of plastic."

"Darn, I got tricked!"

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That's one you need to write down somewhere so you don't forget it. :rotfl:

LYZ are you anywhere near Bucyrus, OH??? our little cart is heading out there. Stephen decided to sell it because there is no where to ride it in the Village!

ummm....what? :confused3 What is this "cart" of which you speak??

Stacey - sorry that hubby has to work the whole weekend

It's kind of a gloomy Saturday here - while I'm glad that the sun isn't blazing hot, I wish it were just a *little* nicer out. Heading out in a few minutes here for the "Sweet Pea Cheese grand opening celebration"....funny thing is, when you look at that quickly it looks like "Sweet PEACHES". not quite the same thing..

CIMG1936.jpg

This would be Our CART!

I LOVE driving this thing!!!

Wow, it's been busy here.

Oh boy. Can't wait to meet her. How much has she lost?

At this point, around 70 lbs. She started WW, Oct 07. She's a regular skinny minny now.

Is it wrong that I like goats.

Tag fairy!

Cute. How old she Lyz?

12 (and acts anywhere from 4 to 17!)

I just went for a Bike Ride! 5 miles!

Good girl. On Saturday too. You coulda said, it's Sat, on the holiday, butcha didn't.

"Mommy, do mannequins come from dead people?"

Good question.

BIL's surprised that she even knows the word mannequin. Of course she does - because since she was 2 she's been hearing "Don't touch the mannequin, Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn, don't touch the mannequin. I told you, don't touch the mannequin. How many times have I told you to not touch the mannequin?"

Oh yes.

OMG Yes I am just a town and a half away ... if that makes any sense! Rp just curves around and meets Chazy with only a few miles of Champlain in between. AHHH yes the Ferry back and forth from VT to Plattsburgh.. I know it well I don't take it to often but enough. We have to go back and forth to burlington to take my middle child to Fletcher allen Hospital every few months.

I am shocked at how much traveling you do. You must be in the middle of nothing and everything. (Meaning you have to go (literally travel) to get to what you need, and everything is somewhere else.) What is your weekly gas bill to fill up the beast?

I had a cheat sheet too!!! Along with their AIM names... Do you have AIM???
I think I just got rid of my cheat sheet in late june!!

I had one in the beginning too!

I got home Dh was up so I hadn't had much exercise

(yes I know the HORROR)

and then I got to EXERCISE AGAIN!

:lmao: You are too much. Ya freakshow.

Then I got up and went to the new house (still not MINE YET:sad2: ) bank want currant owners to fix a few things so we are going to help them out!

Wow, you guys really want THAT house!

Surely Liz comes home today. She left last Sat.

I've been working out

Good. I wondered if you gave up the effort totally since you decided Sept 1 to get back on track. How is the pupster? Are you getting a walk in everday because of it?

LYZ are you anywhere near Bucyrus, OH??? our little cart is heading out there. Stephen decided to sell it because there is no where to ride it in the Village!

No, I actually had to look it up to see where it was. It's way north of me. I am Southern Ohio. Right under Columbus (the capital).

Well, you all know my dh is in Texas working. Has been gone since Monday the 18th. (And we've been married long enough (12.9 years) that we both enjoy the break.) He decided at 5pm yesterday, he and the guys would fly home for the weekend. So, now I have to clean up the house (it isn't dirty, just alittle cluttered), go grocery shoping (we don't have ANY pop) and drive up to Columbus and pick them up at 6. Busy afternoon for me. And definately some exercise this evening.

Talk to you all later.

"rotis" - Nancy, I didn't know either. But did I bother to look it up?

You eat your goats? Willow? See, we had Molli's other hog Duke butchered. And I am SO grossed out by the whole thing. I can't even think about it without dry heaving.

I'll eat sausage, as long as it came from Kroger in a Bob Evans package. I won't touch the Duke sausage (and neither will Molli.)

I've been handing out, frozen packages of Duke left and right. I have like 23 1lb bags of Duke sausage left. And pork chops. Oh my. And 7 pork shoulders (I've never even made a pork shoulder.) And ham steak. I still need to pick up the bacon and hams. And I'm probably not gonna have anything to do with it. (Him).

Steph - what is Steph buying to replace the cart?

Yes, we do, but no, not Willow. She's a dairy goat. Kind of like the difference between dairy cows and beef cattle. The meat goats are bred for, well, their "meatiness" as opposed to their ability to produce milk.

I grew up with the "raise your own animal" thing - so I'm used to it. I can raise the animal, and cook & eat it - but don't ask me to participate in that "in-between" process! I kind of like knowing where my meat came from, how it was raised, what did (and more importantly did NOT) get put into it's system...don't get me wrong - I certainly buy my fair share of meat at the grocery store...and can understand and respect the choices of others who don't eat meat at all...

k - so I'm gonna be late....DH is just finishing up my display case for the soap!

I kind of like knowing where my meat came from, how it was raised, what did (and more importantly did NOT) get put into it's system...

Yes, that's how I feel too. So it made perfect sense to butcher him. But, he and I spent alot of time togther and I "know" him. :rotfl: It's not as much the gross-ness factor as much as the emotional factor.

A miracle has happened!

Yesterday Kaitlyn leaned on the rear tire of my bike, and the bike fell over and she went on top of it. She came up without a scratch, bike looked fine. It sounded off this morning, so after I got home I looked at it, then decided to take another quick spin to put it through all its gears. I get 1/4 mile from my house and off comes the chain. And it won't stay on. Something's bent.

I take my bike to the bike shop. I didn't want to screw anything up by messing with it myself. Guy says yup, look here, this all got bent when it went over. :scared: But he can probably have it ready for me by 3.

Damage? $9.73. Yes, less than $10! :woohoo: And, almost better yet, Kaitlyn understands that she screwed up and has apologized 3 times already!

Then I get my giggles - a man was in there exchanging his clip-on shoes and the guy at the counter was explaining to him how the clip-on shoes are supposed to work! If you don't know, you shouldn't be using them!

Deb

Okay, reporting in from the Animal Kingdom Lodge. LOVE the savanna view studio!

Unfortunately, Gustav is making everything rainy and gloomy. Fortunately, we had planned on a laid-back resort day, plus had booked Boma for dinner so didn't even have to leave the resort.

We left NC at about 3:45AM, stopped for gas twice, and at Steak N Shake for lunch, and checked in here about 1PM. And, our room was ready!!

Tomorrow it is off to OKW for a night, then to BWV until Fri, then back here to AKL.

Erika, you ROCK!! Thanks so much for calling to confirm, I really appreciate the extra time.

Deb, DEFINITELY do Toy Story Mania. We rode it 2-3 times in May and it is worth the wait.

Sorry this is a quick drive-by, will check in later on in the week. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Wow! 9.73! And an apology. It IS a miracle.:rotfl:

KittyKat! So glad you checked in. I was thinking about you! Keep doing that, and pluueeeze tell me what you are eating. I want to imagine it, K?

Where the heck is everyone at? Hmmmm?

Nancy - how'd the soap sell?

Liz - are you home yet? I'm ready for some SIL(MIL) stories and Em vacation stories.

Where the heck is everyone at? Hmmmm?

Nancy - how'd the soap sell?

Liz - are you home yet? I'm ready for some SIL(MIL) stories and Em vacation stories.

I'm here! Yesterday was better than I would have predicted. The weather was kinda "odd" here - gray, humid, icky...but the people...well, they came out for cheese! :goodvibes And soap! I wasn't sure what to expect, but I sold roughly 80 bars of soap. I sold out of a couple of my scents, and DH had to run home and get me more! :thumbsup2

So - this morning, it's back to my "laboratory" (kitchen...:rolleyes1 ) to cook up some more!

TOY STORY MANIA...looks like so much FUN. We were at WDW in April...figures, huh? :sad2: DD and I are ready to go back...DH and boys, well, not so much.

Off to the lab - (I need a Dr. Bunson Honeydew simley)

Lisa - i'm actually in Rochester, not too far though. I grew up in Attica which is about 40-45 mins from buffalo!

Directly across the lake from me. I'm downtown and face the lake so this is me waving Stacey. Crap where is the waving icon? Okay, here's me looking across......:cool2:

"Mommy, do mannequins come from dead people?"

That child is too smart.

OMG Yes I am just a town and a half away ... if that makes any sense! Rp just curves around and meets Chazy with only a few miles of Champlain in between. I think I just got rid of my cheat sheet in late june!!

Okay, I don't know what AIM is? EEEK. :rolleyes1

So you are on the 2 Stephanie? I think it's route 2. (11?) Or closer to the Interstate. Lovely area. I love travelling down the island and visiting all the quaint towns. South Hero etc. Are you on the island? No, because you're NY and the island is Vermont. Okay, I should stop thinking outloud and just wait for you. :lmao:

I'm still trying to come up with some good lower cost vacations for next year while we are saving for the house (and a big disney blowout to the poly). I k.
Poly. Aaah. :cloud9: Love to stay there one day. I regularly abuse the rules and hang out in the Poly's hammock though. I pretend the hammock is really DVC pool hopping privileges. :scared1:

As for cheap vacations. I'm the queen of those. Do you know anyone with a RCI timeshare? They have a system called "last call". And they allow friends, family to use it as well. The weeks are just over $200 and you pay a visitor's pass of around $70 to go on someone's membership. My sister has one and allows me to use it this way. So cheap.

Also, I regularly bid at Priceline. I've stayed in $120 a night places for $40 and $50 dollars before.

At this point, around 70 lbs. She started WW, Oct 07. She's a regular skinny minny now.

Wow, that's an amazing weight loss. Consistency, something I don't do well at.

Okay, reporting in from the Animal Kingdom Lodge. LOVE the savanna view studio!

Hope you're having a great time Kathryn. Isn't the Savannah view something. I nabbed my parents one in March at the last minute. Two days before check in. They were like little kids. Checking off their animals. My father was "yelling" at the giraffes. Chatising them for coming one afternoon and not the next. :lmao: They rarely left the balcony. It was lovely to see.

Enjoy!

Where the heck is everyone at? Hmmmm?

The weather is fabulous here. They're calling for straight sun and eighties or late seventies all next week as well. I've been at the CNE (our fair) most of the weekend. Eating my goat roti and then seeing the baby goats in The Farm building and feeling tremendous guilt. Every six months or so I say I'm going become a vegetarian - I can't take this. And then I eat more meat and it subsides. :rolleyes1 Insane. Since I love curry goat, steak, butter chicken, jerk chicken, gyros, hamburgers. I'm a bring on the meat girl. (EDIT: Oh that comes off a little risque! :rolleyes1 but I'll keep it! :lmao: )

Lost cause I fear.

But I stil have my moments. Last year, I suddenly realized lamb was actually baby sheep.:rotfl: :lmao: Don't ask me how I didn't know that!!!:scared1: Meltdown.

Oh boy.

...well, they came out for cheese! :goodvibes And soap! I wasn't sure what to expect, but I sold roughly 80 bars of soap. I sold out of a couple of my scents, and DH had to run home and get me more! :thumbsup2

That's great Nancy. Fabulous day, eh?

I just purchased an Emu oil soap from our fair yesterday. I have Rosacea and I'm always trying something new.

Any news on goat miilk soap for Rosacea? This is me praying. :worship: It gets tiresome sometimes to keep in in check. Darn Irish skin. It's thin and red. I actually call myself pink.

Hey all! Home for about 20 minutes...just dumping off one load of crap and picking up another. Just been reading a bit...no time for a real post. Having a great week-end. Ran 4.5 miles yesterday, today is off, and I will run 5 miles tomorrow, so at least I am getting some training in.

Lisa! You are a real regular now! :lmao: LOVE it!

She is so totally at the popular table now, right? :rotfl2:

Long check-in tomorrow night.

xoxo

Goat Cheese Soap! :lmao: :rotfl2: Love you for that one, Lyz!

KAT--hope you are having an awesome trip. Want live trip report, k?

LIZ--get off the damn ship already. And no claiming thread bankruptcy. You go back and read everything. :lmao:

ALL--I will respond to everyone tomorrow.

Since I love curry goat, steak, butter chicken, jerk chicken, gyros, hamburgers. I'm a bring on the meat girl. (EDIT: Oh that comes off a little risque! :rolleyes1 but I'll keep it! :lmao: )

Wendy's has a commercial and the guy calls himself a "meataterian":rotfl: . He then waxes poetic about how it's a "choice" and "something you just have to decide to do" I found it very funny.

LIZ--get off the damn ship already. And no claiming thread bankruptcy. You go back and read everything. :lmao:

TOTALLY agree!

I'm back!

Got off the ship in NYC at 11:30am...waited for the car, got to MIL's house, unloaded, loaded our car, and now we are all back to our home happy places. Me, on the couch with laptop and Diet Coke. Em, watching Noggin (Disney had Hannah Montana and I can't let that obsession start yet, kwim?) and Nick...in the bathroom. Gotta love the man.

Ok, so I guess I have to go back and read the 10,000 pages, huh? ;) Can someone give me a super awesome update? Please? In return I will share my tan with you and rest assured, I have taken on some of your weight. Cause that's how much I love you all - I ate for you this past week. One for the team! :rotfl:

Ok, catch me up while I go back and read and upload my pics.

I feel like I have been away for centuries. Why do vacations end? I like vacation.

Liz! Glad your back! Yes, I know, going on vacation is a pain when you return home to reality!

Here's the scoup I can think of:

Steph - is getting closer to purchasing her house (with inground pool, remember)(I'm green). School starts this week for her little darlings. Kindergarden for Zack. They sold the golf cart(?) (see pic.) She's been getting lots of exercise (what's new).:lmao:

EriKa - was of course away this weekend and apparently tonight also.:confused3 Not even sure where they went, boating or camping. She starts school this week as do the kiddos and she hasn't really planned her trip yet. She is going to be room mother cause she's a control freak and can't let the other momma's plan sub-par parties and doesn't want to get stuck standing outside of Publix (took a guess E) selling homemade brownies that have questionable origins and might even include dog hair. (yeah, I don't do bake sales.)

Kat - is in Walt Disney World. Her last day at work was Friday. Final week at work good, and she is super excited about the new job. She did go to company picnic and had a good time.

Paula - finished her week with the old friend. Nothing romantic, but she already knew that. They had a good time. She is in a rut, mind wise. Kinda stuck with alot of negative baggage which she needs to work thru, cause she is too awesome to let life pass her by while shoving down french bread. (Right Paula!) (And everyone else here.)

Nancy - is super busy. Committing to to many things. School drama outfits, goat shows and she has to work full time cause all the kids are going back to school and college. Her sil started a market and Nancy is selling goat milk soap there. Sold a BUNCH yesterday. (go Nancy) She still hasn't posted a pic and as far as I'm concerned, I think she's a man, pretending to be a farmers wife.

Dawn - celebrated her birthday last week. At the fair no less. Not your kinda of "fair", my kind. Ate funky food. The kids are VERY busy, including Treynor getting an offer to model for Abercrombie(?), such a cutie. Carsyn finding her way, and Baylor, being a busy 12 year old boy. Dan the man, hanging strong. Big Turd, not causing too much drama, that she is reporting, anyway.

Stacey - got a pupster (I think you saw) and is kinda bored cause hubby is working all kinds of hours. She was gonna spend time with her family this weekend. And! Sept 1, (that is tomorrow Bride) she is getting back on track full on. Tracking, exercising, the whole shebang. AND for accountablilty we expect DAILY reports. Morning or night, I'll let you choose, Stacey.

Jodi - Dawn reported, is not doing well. Her computer is down and her back is out. Poor Jodi.

Deb - (Astro Orbitor) is back to biking. Fall is coming so the light (or lack thereof) is screwing with her schedule. She leaves for Disney in a few weeks and is not making plans. Just gonna "go with it". I know! Not sure if her daughter started school yet or not. (picture please, if you want)

Lisa - (LisaViolet) is a newbie. Apparently she's been watching us for some time now. She is ready to kick weight butt. She lives in Canada (so we have to be careful what we say:rotfl: just kidding Lisa). She works with, shoot I can't remember, something about teaching language and a part time travel agent and has DVC. (I'm green about that too.) And I think, gets our humor. (picture please, if you want)

Haven't heard anything from: princessrunner, munky or believen (but I know Vicki is reading, I see her on all the time. Hi Vicki!!!)

I am sure I'm forgetting something or someone very important. Sorry in advance.

Me - same ol same ol. Saying inappropriate things at inappropriate times. Madeline is doing better at school. She is enjoying it and not getting wheepy when teacher leaves them with other teachers. (i.e. lunch or recess). Bob is home for the weekend, SUPRISE! ( and TONS of laundry) Heads back to Texas Wednesday morning. So, I am eating way too much. And my exercise is questionable at this point. But I still believe. (ha)

K, love you. Now send me some of your tan. And stories. I've been waiting for you.

I have now read the WHOLE thread I missed. No laundry, no unpacking, no looking at my child or husband, just the reading of the thread...and some online shopping for bikinis, but whatever. A girl's gotta have priorities, right?

So, first things first. Let me see if I've got this.

Dawn - had a birthday and ate yummy food - DOLE WHIP!!!! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

Kat - left her job and went to WDW! WOOT!

EriKa - got stalked by K, had a discussion with J, and went away for yet another weekend. Come back, E!!!

Deb - has a really cool kid. God, I love the stories about her. Keep em coming.

Lyz - is frankly too hilarious to quote in total. But, omg, webkinz!

Dan - went back into hiding. Sad.

Nancy - is still holding out on pictures and details. Details, woman! Tell us more!

Steph - Has a really cool cart. So fun! And control isssues - oh, i loved that.

Paula - ok, here's the thing. You're getting the gold star. Because those posts that you hesitated to write were so well done. Not to sound like a writer judging you, or your editor. But. You expressed yourself sooo well and I am so impressed. I think you have better perspective than 90% of people out there, and your ability to express yourself is just awesome. You are working on big things, and doing it while looking at yourself in a way most people never ever do. Well done, Paula. It's a pleasure to be on this journey with you.

Lisa - WELCOME!

First off, I love Canadians. I know it's weird, but I do. I just want to run out and get a maple leaf tattoo with you. And sit together at lunch. And buy matching purses - you do like shoes and purses, right? Well, it doesn't matter because your country is so pretty and you have Roots there and that Lulu Lemon and I just love you on principle.

Oh, and I have a really awesome guy friend in Toronto, who makes great money and is single. Just saying.

And, because it will come up, one of my soulmates is from Vancouver, she and her husband are the perfect match to my husband and I and we met because of the internet - Gang, this is my photographer friend, Richelle, btw - and so because they are such a crazy, perfect fit in my life, I extend my adoration to your nation. Also, I love the Tragically Hip.

And, because I am already the crazy lady, let me point out that when your friends, in this case mine/ours refer to you as "snarky" what they mean is B$tch, in a good way. But it was cute how they stepped around that, wasn't it? :rotfl: That was Hi Lar Ious, you guys describing me. I was laughing out loud! And it was very sweet, because while I am not a socialite or gawgous, you do get me and I love that.

So. I am home. I have an awesome new wife beater - that's Jersey for tank top - that is gray with little shoes and boots all over it. And I am wearing my shoe necklace with it! It's soooo cute. Almost cute enough to distract me from weighing myself. I drank a lot and ate a lot and played all day long. I have a kick a$$ tan. It was an amazing trip. I never could have imagined how well it would work out. I have more stories and pictures but I have to go do laundry now. Of course I already vacuumed. OCD, anyone? ;)

Do you know I hit 75lbs before I left? So even if I gained 5lbs, I will lose it. I am soo close to my goal now. And not even a week's vacation/eating will throw me off!

Kat - left her job and went to WDW! WOOT!

EriKa - got stalked by K, had a discussion with J, and went away for yet another weekend. Come back, E!!! (totally forgot about the K drama. How'd that happen. I think I pushed it to the back of my mind so I could quit crying.)

Deb - has a really cool kid. God, I love the stories about her. Keep em coming.

Lyz - is frankly too hilarious to quote in total. But, omg, webkinz! (don't knock it till you try it. I am still 3 gems shy of the "Legendary Crown of Wonder." SOAB!!!)

Seriously, Em would LOVE it. I highly recommend it for her. Maddi is so very comfortable with the computer because of it. Actually, so comfortable she pulled of my "9" key. Remember? But, we got that anger management issue under control.

Dan - went back into hiding. Sad. (all you gotta do is throw down a challenge or riddle. He shows up asap.)

Nancy - is still holding out on pictures and details. Details, woman! Tell us more!

Steph - Has a really cool cart. So fun! And control isssues - oh, i loved that.
