In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Hope you lose the water and ditch Hanna...I hear she's a bi@ch so tell her the party is by invite only...:upsidedow

Hanna's projection hooked to the southwest overnight - but you never know until they get closer to land. She might very well be a bi@ch, she's moving sooo slow. But I doubt she'll close WDW for a sweet 16 party!

Deb, I think we overlap? We are there Aug 30-Sept 7th. Where are you staying?

Looks like you're at AKL? We'll be there Sept 4-7, staying at WL. :thumbsup2 Dinner at Jiko Fri night! :cloud9: Kaitlyn in Simba's club for dinner! This weekend I'll pack and work out what parks/what days. My only firm plans are MK fireworks Thurs night (we should arrive 7-ish) and Jiko. Trying to decide if Toy Story Mania is a required element to the trip or not...

Come on Deb! I will pull you back up on the wagon! Don't give up just because your trip is in a few days. Keep going strong right up until it is time to leave. Then you will feel better about yourself while you are there.

 Thanks! This weekend I'm going to dust off my bike - haven't been on in a week! (Though you're already gone - hope everyone got up at 6am with minimal drama!)

 Thanks! This weekend I'm going to dust off my bike - haven't been on in a week!

A WEEK?!? Yikes. A week without my bike would be like...like...I don't even want to THINK about it! :confused3

I'm just mapping out my route now...today is the last "day" of summer vacation for us...school starts Tuesday, and we have a very busy weekend. Yep - more goat shows/fairs. (where's the farm animal smilies?? )

Steph, did you lose your computer prevlidges? No nite-nite OR wakey-wakey!

THANKS!!! You are the best.

So, we are mostly packed, everything has been tied off on at work. I am going in tomorrow morning to turn in the laptop, have lunch with some folks, and then I should leave around 1.

Kat, what a day you have. Saying goodby to a place that has held so much angst and trauma. Then driving for 8 hours (kill me now) and going to the Happiest Place on Earth. Have a good day. I'm super SUPER proud of you and happy for you.

Trying to decide if Toy Story Mania is a required element to the trip or not...

From what I understand, it's "all that AND a bag of chips." I think you better get your fast past asap, cause they runneth outeth.

I can't believe you don't have an agenda, that has been approved by the fam and revised 13 times. Ahhhhh, the horror. I can't handle it.

Nanc(do people call you Nanc?):dog: :cat: This is the best I could do for Farm Animals on the DIS.

Here is what I have so far:

3Disneykids - Erika

DisneyWorldDelight - Lyz - is that right?

HockeyKat - Kathryn

Astro Orbiter - Deb

AKASnowWhite - Nancy

Disney4XMAS - Stephanie

Goofyfan - 12 - Paula or goof?!?!??!

DizneyDawn - Dawn:laughing:

BrcsDisneyPrncs - Stacey

Okay, I must be missing people. For sure. Help the newbie.

Stephanie - are you near Rouses Point? I'm always, well not as much as I would like, in your area. I went to university in Quebec so I'm always sneaking through your area to go back "home" to Lennoxville. Toronto - Montreal can get so boring year after year. Also, one of my roommates grew up in Noyan, Quebec which can't be far as well. I just crossed over Lake Champlain at Plattsburgh a couple of weeks ago on my way to Lennoxville. I caught the ferry right at sunset. Magical. Dreamy.

Stacey - are you in Buffalo or nearby?

No family approvals! Horrors! This is a Disney-Dictatorship! Imposed by Kaitlyn, mostly. Just implemented by me...:rotfl:

We're 4-4.5 hours from The World and have gone like 8 times in 2 years. We know what we want to do, and this is not a once-in-3-years trip. DD loves MK and AK. DH goes because I want to and can't wait until Kaitlyn rides 'real' coasters. She's tall enough but a bit chicken. (We went on SM when she was 4, on the trip she decided coasters were scary. The whole way up the mountain it was "I made a mistake. I want to get off. I made a mistake!" Ummmm, honey, you can't get off now...But Mommy Loves You!) In her defense, though, she has been on SplashM, BTMR, and SpaceM.

The real reason I don't have a plan is because of DHS, which we usually skip but did go to last time. So if it weren't for that darn Toy Story Mania I'd be all set! And I know it's my last trip for a while (APs expire 9/22 for this year) so I want to get all the faves in.

Deb

Happy Labor Day Weekend to everyone:

I am cleaning house this weekend...hopefully heading to a Casino for a bit o gambling...I am not a gambler...$10 is my limit...so I feel victorious if I come home with $11 :lmao:
and also heading to our Renniasance Festival... I have not been in over 8 years probably...maybe even 10 and will have a blast I am sure...It is the largest one in the States...and when the headliner is "Puke and Snot"... a comedy troupe...ya know it will be silly...if only I had one of those dresses that they wore back then...push the girls out and suck the belly in...why is it that the eighties comes back for fashoin and not something to make us women look skinnier!? :confused3

My kids are heading all over this weekend...Treyner to Wisconsin to 2 cabins...Carsyn to Iowa with her Dad and a friend for fun...and Baylor about 1 hour away to go camping with his good friend which will culminate on Sunday...him flying on a private plane! :scared1:

I am nervous but his Dad and I agreed to let him go...it is a 2 seater...so his friends step-dad will fly the boys seperatley to and from the airshow which is about an hour car ride form the campgrounds...he is a pilot for his day job as well...and I know all the realities about car accidents being more common etc...but it still gives me a small case of nerves...okay who am I kidding...on Sunday I need to be destracted or I will be a mess...ahemm...slight control issues...party of one...slight control issues...party of one....;)

Kat - have an awesome time...I am so jealous that you are heading out...I wanna move closer too momma..

Lisa - you are doing well...on page 1 or 2 of this thread was a run -down of all who are here so far I believe - some more here than others...

Grumpyyoungguy is Dan - he and I are dating...
okay in love...
totally infatuated...
and devotedly happy...

so no making moves on my dwarf! (BTW: he is 6'6 and over 330# so that in itself is a complete missnomer)

All who have been asking for Jodi - she is having computer issues...cannot get on easily...in major back/neck pain and un-able to excersize...so they are reccomending Gastric for her so she can lose weight and then they will do her back surgery...but they cannot/will not do it now at her current weight...which BTW...is still holding the same...no gain...but no loss either...so although she is happy...sad still and feels frusterated and immobile...

I think that's a wrap...DWD: do you not speak CB language? :rotfl2:

He'll be fine. Private pilots have to go thru alot of training and certification with the government. I know that's of little comfort when it's your baby, but, I seem to have gotten over the worry pit.

"This here's the rubber duck, and I'm about to put the hammer down."

Ok, so I'm just copying lyrics from a C W McCall song, but I speak trucker with the best of em. I didn't know you were looking for a responce. I thought you were just amusing me.

Don't forget LIZ (Septembergirl) - our resident socialite! :worship:

Ya, Lisa, Liz is on a cruise. She is a major player here and you'll totally love her. She's lost the most weight and is gawgous and has a very good hart and sometimes she's snarky, so TOTALLY fun.

SOMETIMES she's snarky???

I'm working on more soap labels - tomorrow is my SIL's official "Grand opening" of her Goat Cheese Shop at her farm....and I'm supposed to be selling soap. Hopefully the weather will be nice and folks will come out and buy stuff!! Oh - they are also opening their "Corn Maze" for the season as well....that's always a ton of fun! :goodvibes Amazing, isn't it? Grown people paying MONEY to wander thru a corn field

SO is this goat cheese soap better than my Dove?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's not Goat CHEESE SOAP! :lmao: SIL makes Goat CHEESE, I make Goat Milk Soap.:lmao: :lmao: And yes, it's fabulous for your skin. When soap goes thru it's chemical process (saponification) one of the natural by-products is glycerin. In commercially prepared soaps (such as your Dove) the wonderful natural glycerin is removed and replaced with chemicals. Then, the glycerin is used in lotions, etc. to REPLACE the moisture in your skin that the chemicals have helped to dry out. So those smarty-pants companies are selling you TWO products. One to cleanse and one to moisturize. The goat milk soap is so very gentle to you skin (I have customers with skin sensitivities to the chemicals in commercial soaps who SWEAR by it!) plus it's moisturizing at the same time.

Yeah. So, in all my "free time" I'm supposed to be working on content for our website, which is sadly lacking at this point (just a lame front page with "coming soon"....:rolleyes1 ) maybe this winter when life slows down :lmao: I crack me up. Like THAT'S gonna happen...life slow down...:lmao:

I am rolling. I didn't even realize I put "cheese". That's not what I was thinking. Well, you got a good laugh.

Here is another good laugh. I took the children shopping to Columbus today. First we went to TJ Maxx. (Love me some high dollar clearance.)

Anyway, Molli needed new sunglasses. They have name brands for like 9.99. J.Lo, Kenneth Cole, Armani Exchange, Baby Phat, all good glasses.

Well, Molli picks out a pair from Liz Claybourne (?). And they do look good, but, I tell her, that is more of a "womens" brand, and tried to push her toward a younger brand. J.Lo. et al.

Well, she wasn't biting. Liked the Liz Claybourne. So we purchase.

Then off to Target, we are looking at clothes, and heading back to the dressing rooms. We pass the Liz Lange Maternity section, but she doesn't know that it's maternity. She just sees the name Liz.

She brightly turns and says, "Mom, there's Liz again, and a shirt for you."

I, aghast, said "that's maternity clothes!"

And she squeals, "I have maternity sunglasses?" With a look of horror on her face! It was classic.

:rotfl: Can you imagine, maternity sunglasses. I was rolling.

Ok, as I type it out, it's not as funny as in the store, but, I'll share anyway.

later.

Have a great weekend as well.

Wow! What an introduction. Thanks Nancy. I just pulled out my cheat notes for the popular table. :lmao: I actually did a roll call. :surfweb: I must add Liz. And the one I can't make moves on.

Lisa - i'm actually in Rochester, not too far though. I grew up in Attica which is about 40-45 mins from buffalo!

I just went for a Bike Ride! 5 miles! Probably could have gone more, surprisingly, but my shoulder's hurting (must have slept wrong). My bike sounds funny, though. Kaitlyn leaned on it last night and over it went. (At least no one was clipped to the pedals!) Crash! I have to take her to a make-up gymnastics class in a few hours (since she'll miss next week's class as we're at WDW!) and the bike shop's a few doors down if I can't figure it out.

Good luck on the Goat Cheese / Soap venture!

On the subject of funny kid stories:

Kaitlyn was in Kindergarten last year. One day we're off at the mall, shopping, hand-in-hand.

"Mommy, do mannequins come from dead people?"

"No, honey, they're made of plastic."

"Darn, I got tricked!"

Huh-what? Tricked by whom? Were they talking about mannequins or dead people at school or on the bus?

So then I share the story with my childless SIL/BIL, who love funny Kaitlyn stories. BIL's surprised that she even knows the work mannequin. Of course she does - because since she was 2 she's been hearing "Don't touch the mannequin, Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn, don't touch the mannequin. I told you, don't touch the mannequin. How many times have I told you to not touch the mannequin?"

SO, hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! Bruce is working straight days sat, sun AND monday, SUCKY! Oh well though, gives me achance to get stuff accomplished and visit with my family. - which has been KILLING me though.

I've been working out, however Bruce took me to Olive Garden for dinner on thursday, My parents asked us to meet them and my sister & Brother in law's for dinner last night where they ordered..... pizzas and wings, and now today, i'm taking the new puppy out to the campsite to spend the day, where there will be TONS.OF.FOOD

But, i told bruce, starting Sept 1, we are tracking cals, what we eat, excercise. No more!

I'm still trying to come up with some good lower cost vacations for next year while we are saving for the house (and a big disney blowout to the poly). I know we will probably go to Minnesota for a bit (some of Bruce's fam is out there, he hasn't been since his Grandpa passed away a few weeks before the wedding). BUt not sure where else to go.

LYZ are you anywhere near Bucyrus, OH??? our little cart is heading out there. Stephen decided to sell it because there is no where to ride it in the Village!
