Stephanie, that is crazy about your family!!! Welcome. You should fit right in. Now. Being a Phlebotomist (I had to copy because I couldn't spell) what hours do you work?

Yes, my family is wacked I go nuts one weekend a year when I have them all at my house for my kids skating show! And to make matters worse it is usually my mom's birthday and EVERYONE SINGS happy birthday to her. The first year that they all came I drank half a bottle of margarita's with the alcohol all by MYSELF.
As for the Phlebotomy (I take blood for blood tests) Or as the people in the hospital call me a vampire. So what hours do vampires keep, I work the afternoon shift 2:30 p.m - 11:00 p.m. We do have a shift that starts at 4:00am but that is WAY TO EARLY for ME!

Ok, so truth time...the phlebotomy thing freaks me out more than the dancing bananas!

I was freaked out by it to at first, sticking people with needles ! Now if people ask me if I like my job I always say YES because we else do you go home relieved of stress, I get to stick people with needles and I can just think of something that is bothering me and I get to stick it! no not true but that is what I tell people, some people tell me I am the best and most gentle person to take their blood and others SCREAM before I even have the needle uncapped.

Good news...meds are working...

Taxes are done and we got about $2300 back... not owing like the other program...Treyner does not count for the child tax credit or the rebate because he turned 17 Dec. 14th....it is 16 and under....WTH??? Why not 18???? That is $1300 less I am getting over 2 weeks age descrepency...

Dan's ex was found responsible for taxes they owed from the business..her "innocent spouse" request was DENIED!

Chad is talking more about doing the right thing by the kids...he is working on his temper...

I will be starting a new diet with Dan on Monday...need to grocery shop and make food ahead of time...

I have 3 huge parties coming up for Tupperware! Let's go big money....

All 3 kids have soccer tourney's this weekend...

You guys are a riot...Lyz and Erika are all like all gangsta...

Morning! Ok, so I am way better today! It is one of those sparkling, crystal, clear days here in Maine. Chilly, but gorgeous. So I decided I would run along the coast today and breathe in the ocean air. Kelly's school is only 1/2 mile from the beach (we sent her to private this year due to her medical condition but she will head to public next year with the other two...our public school is OMG amazing...and they are skipping her a year...but that is another story).

So, yes, this means I had to show up to Kel's school all spandexed up. Scary. I am getting used to being seen around town in spandex!

Anyway, there is NOTHING like coming over the crest of a hill and seeing the ocean sparkling in the sun all spread out before you. Talk about inspiring! I was just loving being at the ocean that I didn't note my time and I ran 10 minutes past my turn around point! Of course that means an extra 10 minutes BACK...so I ended up running 20 minutes longer than I intended. This is a good thing considering yesterday was an all-out eat fest for me! GREAT run and I feel so good now.

That is awesome news. Scary how taxes can work out different with different programs. Something is wrong with that.

NOW, regarding Treyners child tax credit. That is shocking to me. 16 is the cut off? Never knew this. I only have 5 more years for Molli! (Her bday in January)

Ok...here is my spin...

First off...it is totally natural to have a measuring post...we all do...that person we expect great advice from, great insight with and the person who holds up the mirror to your success and will be your biggest chearleader no matter what...That is how I see your friend D. He is the person you were at your best with (even as friends) and the person who you expected to reckognize that you were there again. That is the friend that, like parents you want to hear accolades from, unabashed overtones and all and out pride. I would have been the same way...I bet he was at some level your sounding board when you felt not the best about yourself and the person who let you know your worth always.

I have a few thoughts on why his reaction was subdued...
#1 he actually likes you as more - regardless of lip service...he is getting older and self-reflection is bound to happen - and now...sees you at your best again...your pride will affect your bubbly personality...and he at some level feels like he was left out...missed out...and now...no turning back...

#2 He is afraid of his feelings about how you look and did not know how to handle them...so avoiding is better than dealing with...

#3 He was totally preoocupied with something and will notice later...(I am not betting my money on that one)

When I met Dan..he acted indifferent...now I know that his reaction was a total fake and he was so afraid of his feelings..

He did not know the status of my marriage...and regardless of the fact his mariage was over...he was not sure where I was and thus...acted like I was a simple friend....

Later...after he told me how he felt...I was totally shocked...I pointed out his actions and our strict friendship beginnings, that I did not see any signs of more..and how did he expect me to read through them...he said..."What did you expect me to do?" To that I had to admit...I was not sure.

I think your friend is jealous...seems the Jonses is a big thing there...so acknowleding your feelings means that she would have to admit D should have noticed...which means she should notice..you have changed....You are a great catch...have a great marriage..3 beautiful kids...and the eye of many men in your area I am sure...sexy comes from within...D saw that in you always...now the perfectionists with views of body perfection have nothing left to cut you down with...to lower your value in order to raise theirs.

If he is that special friend to you...give it another week...than call him out on it....but be prepared for an answer that may shock you...have some thoughts on what his reaction might be and how you are ready to deal with it. What if he says he has always hidden behind humour and really wants you? Stranger things have happened.

EriKa turned me onto those Disney songs last night. And I could definately be considered a "Disney Freak." EriKa, as promised, here are the pictures to prove it.

Both, limited edition (500), life size statues. Disneyshopping.com. The first one, ordered a couple years ago.

Second one, back in the fall. But as you can see, there's really no where to put it, so it's on the coffee table.

If they issue a third edition, I don't doubt we'll HAVE to get it. Figure out where to put later.
