In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

You're right, Kelly. It's pretty freaking awesome. I need to see that. Not to see it as giving up. 14 lbs. I can do 14lbs.

Remind me, okay?

Damn. I might need to give up booze. ARGHHHHHHHH.

Kelly, we have eclairs here. And they are maybe a distant relative of a twinkie, in an alternate universe. Maybe.

Twinkies are more like lard and sugar whipped up and injected into a 10 day old sponge cake, that is about half preservatives, cut in the shape of a wee log. Nothing fresh about them.

A friend of mine in high school left one in her locker, unwrapped, for an entire school year and it grew no mold.

Liz, that sounds like a good goal.

My Feb goals are as follows:
1) No alcohol
2) No weigh-ins until Feb 27
3) Eat clean... no junk. Veggies, fruits, whole grains, lean meats. Emphasis on veggie servings, protein, and fiber grams.
4) Exercise like a fiend. At minimum, hockey on Monday, kickboxing on Tues and Thurs, and some kind of cardio twice a week. Weight training will be added in March.

14lbs is very doable. 14lbs is a stone.
I'll be here to remind you!

Oh my, I actually snorted my tea out of my nose. That was so funny, ive forwarded the link to my friend (who I converted into a Twilight Lover :upsidedow )

Eww. :crazy2: They do NOT sound appetising when you put it like that! I won't be paying crazy shipping prices to have any sent over here thats for sure!
Eclairs are really nice (and fattening). They do go mouldy though if left unattended for days on end!

Have a FANTASTIC time at WDW :cool1:

Kat, love your goals. Love them! So E of you!!! Without the meat, of course.

Hmm. Booze. Argh. Can I give up booze? What about just beer? And keep wine for Valentine's day?

Kelly, YES! I have to lose a stone!!!! I LOVE IT! I used to say that all the time. A stone! (Happy dance of joy.)

Please remind me. Please.

So glad it amused you. I am on all these Twilight communities, I subscribe in Google reader, and they post some pretty funny stuff.

Okay. You know how store bought mass packaged sweets you ate as a kid are yummy? Chemicals and all? That's how Twinkie's are. I swear you have things like this. Hmm. You're going to make me google them.

Lyz - I'm all for where my body wants to level out at. All for it. I figure I'll just keep getting better at eating consciously, without emotions involved (except once in awhile which I don't see as a big deal - the intensity of this week was a huge deal) keep exercising in a way I can keep up consistently for life and wherever the scale goes is my goal. That's how I see it.

How are feeling about it all? Tell me. You're so successful.

Nancy - you are so flippin' funny. The "voila" comment made me day. Your husband is so flippin' lucky. And you go and tell him I told him so. :lmao:

Dawn - were you kidding about saying the balls thing. What? I'm trying to figure it out. Did you say it in your head cause I can't quite figure out a way of saying that to a principal.

Plus, if I'm thinking it. He's probably thinking it. Did you not know the exam schedule time? Did I miss something? Really, I'm asking. I feel like I'm missing something. Maybe I should go back and read.

And I agree with him. She had two very important issues. It happens.

Kelly - go tell your husband as well because the two of you give me such a jolt of happy times. You are so funny.

I was going to tell you twinkies are like half moons. But unlike Rountree/Nestle or whatever Smarties/Coffee Crisp/Kit Kat - are those the ones we share together? You know what I loved as a child Wig Wag. You still have them but they're called something else? What is it called in the UK? It's like a intertwined caramel rope covered with chocolate. And those Cabury tiny logs what are they? Anyway UK/Canada doesn't share half moons cause that's a purely Canadian/Quebec invention. Vachons are Joe Louis, Mae West, Half Moons, Caramel and Rosettes. Oh Vachon. :rotfl2:

Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate.

OMG, Kelly! You just CHANGED the way I look at this whole weight thing!

YES! I only have ONE STONE to lose! I mean, how great is that?!?!? That sounds so much better than 15 pounds (and yes, I know that 1 stone actually = 1 stone, but I am willing to "round down" :rotfl2: ) See? LIZ--we each only have to lose ONE stone. A single one. That just sounds SO much better!

I am giddy with this. I am punchy like Nancy today. (Not that I want to punch Nancy, mind you, cause again...I wouldn't want to throw down with her!)

Liz--jump on the anti-alcohol bandwagon with us. So far it is me, Nancy, and Kat once she gets back from WDW. We'll have a party on this here wagon! Oh wait...that would sort of defeat the purpose....:lmao:

One stone, one stone! Ha! "She could lose a stone!" YES. We will lose a stone!!!

Okay, tell me about this wagon. What does it require? When does it start and end? OMG. No booze. We need to discuss. Seriously.

.

EDIT! EDIT! EDIT!:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

I meant you two as in Nancy and you. Your hubby isn't giving me a jolt of happy times. That I know of anyway. :lmao: :rotfl:

This is good news. It's an entire revolution. :moped: I'm within two stones! I'm somewhere within two stones! Hallelujah. Praise the Lord.

For me, starts Feb 1. Ends Feb 28th. No beer. No liquor. I am also thinking no wine but that can be renegogiated?

Lisa, just so you know, you are the bomb. Like, TOTALLY the bomb. :goodvibes

Well I have no idea why. :rotfl: :lmao: But I'll take it Kat.

Guys,

I'm sighing. I don't know what to say about this liquor thing. I want to be supportive. I do. I do. I so do. But you all enjoy it so. AKJKDFJKDFJLDKJF.
I don't what to say. I don't want to patronize. I do understand why you're doing it.

But please, oh please keep things you love.

I have it easy with the alcohol. I love it too but my rosacea.

As for that cutie. It's nothing. Actually, for years I treated it as nothing more than a vanity issue. But I am vain too. :rotfl: :lmao: Anyway, then I read that it's best to keep in check because it reaches eyes on some people and skin nose growth on others. So I take it a tad more seriously. But it's nothing in the scheme of life. It sucks never to have completely clear skin. And some of my favourite foods - avacados (oh how I love thee), cheese (oh how I love thee), spicy foods (I was spicy food queen of the land), wine and alcohol (oh how I love you all!!!!) are problems. So do I avoid them? Most of the time. But gosh darnit I'll drink sometimes, love up my avocados and cheese and spicy. Life.

So girls - I'll support. But I don't want you all to give up too much of what you love. I don't. I so don't.

I know it's only for a period of time. But I'm big believer in that with food, and exercise, our bodies get used to things (I'm not talking about body needing to be shook up with exercise once in awhile ). . And react big time on a change either way. So I'm afraid that your bodies will react when it's put back in. Okay, shutting up.

I've got a TON to catch up on!!!

I have been contemplating my Feb. Goals:

1. Exercise: I felt like I needed to be more specific this month so: C25K 3 times a week, One LR/week, core/ab/shred 3X week. So pretty much something everyday, unless I double up with C25K and core/ab/shred.

2. Weight goal: Another 5 pounds

3. On the no Alcohol wagon   , EXCEPT (Feb 1 (superbowl), Feb 14th (valentines) and one girls night out (maybe), Feb 28th (after my 1/2 marathon, maybe). And on these days I will have wine.

4. Track calories 3 days a week. Starting small here.

Off to catch up.

It's too long to explain. But you said something I was thinking in the best way possible and it made me happy. :goodvibes

I understand what you are saying on the no-alcohol thing. But I just want to jump-start a bit, and I also make better choices with a clear head, if that makes sense.

Okay.

You know the second line took me right back to university. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

Funny, funny memories.

Have fun Kat!!!!!

Liz--Nancy and I are on the wagon until Valentine's Day, and then we will re-evaluate. That will be about a month from when we started. It is pretty much cold turkey. I am considering allowing myself a glass of wine on Sunday nights (since as Lisa said, not necessarily good to give up what you love), but I'll make that decision when the time comes.

See, the thing for me as that I am so ON right now. And when I am like this, I really need to stay rigid. Because once I make an allowance, it is a fast and slippery slope downhill.

And the reality is that I just have this small small small amount left to lose (just one measly stone after all ;) ). I want it gone. I am SO DONE with it. I know how to maintain. I am great at maintaining. So if I have to sacrifice for a bit to get there, then so be it. So, it is the wagon for me. And though it may sound sad, it is a small price to pay if I finally get rid of this STONE.
