In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

:headache: I hate being "called out" :lmao:

Technically, I *think* I said that I wasn't going to POST my weight until the end.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: Oh we're so good. I should go and check. But I'm far too lazy.

I'm actually sitting in a lazy boy in my parent's basement. A lazy boy. :rotfl: :lmao:

Lazy boy and football playoffs - I should just grab a beer and some chips. :lmao: And swear at the TV. What a picture.

Good for you Nancy. :thumbsup2

Serious question - do you honestly have excess body fat? I know. I know. I'm verging on patronizing. ::yes::

Fair question. In my opinion, yes I do. I haven't had my body fat tested in a while - but I talked to the trainer yesterday, and I'm hoping that she'll do it for me this week. I want to know exactly where I am. For me, it's a much better measure of my success than the scale is. I'm at that tricky place in weight loss, where pounds gained in muscle are a huge advantage, but I'm not losing fat at the same, or even faster, rate. That in turn shows up on the scale as gaining....not losing. So I hate evaluating based soley on that scale number.

If I had to guess at my body fat %, I'd say that I'm on the high side of "healthy" for a woman my age. But I'll let you know for sure when I find out.

Do let me know. I would love to get mine tested. I think it would do wonders for my confidence. I'm hoping anyway. :rotfl: How much does it cost? Is it the water testing? Or calipers? Oh calipers - brings back bad memories a male gym teacher tested us once and made fun of me. They are so not supposed to do that sh!t. Make fun of students. Oh well. He will obviously be an a$$ for life and that's his punishment. Wow, I don't even care. That's nice.

I know you're at that tricky area Nancy - honestly that's why I asked because I know how rational you are about it all. I remember you saying that you were as low as 139??? 137??? but you'd rather have a weight that your body accepts more.

I would love to get that done.

I thought of you guys with this one. The CBC, one of our channels, has a series called "The Week the Women Went". :rotfl2:

I have never seen it but supposedly it's in its second season. They go to a town and ship all the women away to a spa or something for a week and follow the men and their lives without their wives.

I can only imagine. Can you imagine Lyz? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hi Everybody! I haven't caught up yet, but today is a rough day. I am eating right, but not satisfied at all. I haven't given in, but I want a taste of everything in sight.

A local place is advertising weight loss by detox. Might look into it ~ if it isn't too expensive. Saying that average weight loss is 1 lb per day. Might be worth trying out.

Its at work (where I am now!) - Its in the staff room. It currently contains Cadburys dairy milk chocolate, white chocolate buttons, Quality Street Chocolates (all varieties!), Lindt Chocolate Truffles and Kit Kat Chunky peanut butter flavour. The Tin is Evil.

OMG! Lindt truffles are my drug of choice.

At my lowest points (there have been two - an abusive relationship and my dad suffering from depression) all I could do was eat. And eat. And eat. If I took it day by day it helped, but if I tried to see the bigger picture man did I struggle. But I got there in the end.

So thats my little bit of sharing. I love that we share on here - good AND bad. It really helps, and stops me going back to the fat chick who stuffs her face without a second thought! :rotfl2:

Been there, done that too.

Sorry I have not posted this weekend...if it could go worong it has...major plumbing problems upstairs, circuit breaker screwed up...(the guy who built this house did a lot of his own wiring...I knew some of it was not right when you could not run the dryer and the central air...) now the kids rooms in the basement have no electricity in the outlets...but their lights work...:scared:

Good thing my mortgage just dropped cause I will need the extra loot for some experts...

It bites, but I'm glad it's not worse!

Chad is heading to Fargo, ND for work for the week...kids are there for the weekend...loads of frusteration with him right now...behind on child support and he is paying $250-400 less a month than he would if we were following MN guidelines...

He promised to get the kids things for their Christmas presents and it was things they needed like Jacket, boots, piece for Treyner's car so it runs...
etc...and not only has that not happened...but I don't think he plans on it anytime soon...he has no idea where his money goes...he calls the kids to check his bank balance daily here...since he refuses to pay for internet...he will never become responsible and now he turns to the kids instead of me...and I am trying to stay out of it so they can determine boundaries on many things...but some things I feel the need to protect them from...

Been there, done that too! The kids will realize what he drops the ball on.

OMG, I have so many other quotes, but Mom is taking my Aunt Susie, kids and me to breakfast for dinner. That is one of my fav's to do!

See ya on the flip side!

Lisa - great pictures, it's great to be able to put faces to names! It's so great that you didn't edit, thank you for letting us in!

E - that's awesome that you guys had your own little aerobics class, what a great way to stay active when you are stuck inside!!! i hope cutting back the alcohol helps you to reach your goal!!!

Lisa/pr - so sorry you aren't feeling well, i hope you are on the mend soon!

Dawn - uck, one thing after another this weekend for you it seems. Sorry for the string of bad luck, i hope it turns around for you!!!

Steph - glad Mocha is doing well, i swear when we got lucy she gained at least a pound per day, they grow insanely fast when they are little!

Lyz - good luck tonight, hope they don't send you off the deep end!

TO anyone i may have missed :wave2: hey there!

Disney on Ice yesterday was actually a lot better than I anticipated, we had alot of fun. I did eat some badness, but not as bad as it could have been, didn't touch the chicken fingers/burgers/dogs/popcorn/nachos or bacon cheese fries... i did split a soft pretzel and fries with my friend, but i figure all things considered, half a plain pretzel and half of a small order of plain fries isn't TOO bad - tracked it, and came in 2 pts under, so i'm good.

I got really bored this evening, so i rearranged my furniture, as in the whole downstairs, dining room, living room, etc... Bruce is going to get home from work and be like wth... :cool1:

Well, off to finish my homework, long day tomorrow, work til 5 class til 9... hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

As usual..you are right! And yeah. That tricky, sticky area. bah. But it's going. I'm packing it's bags and it is out.of.here. :goodvibes

Fun!!

So. We have a neighbor who had an issue with her water pump in this nasty cold weather that we've been having this week. Yesterday morning she called here to ask hubby for some help. Of course, he did - easy "fix" for him...and easy for him to explain to her son should it happen again. Nice, right?

Well. As a "thank you" she made us some food. (wait. I forgot a really important fact here. She is a true-blue Mexican. :Pinkbounc ) OMG. She brought us some taquitos, guacamole, rice..... ...we just had it for dinner. We should have made margaritas and cranked the heat up - woulda been just like we were back in Cancun.

Tracked, counted...will post it all later....

I I can only imagine. Can you imagine Lyz? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

:lmao: My husband would die. He's on his own tonight, for one night and heaven help us. :scared: .

Lisa - great pictures, it's great to be able to put faces to names! It's so great that you didn't edit, thank you for letting us in!

Word.

Lyz - good luck tonight, hope they don't send you off the deep end!

I'm sitting at the indoor pool. The 4 of them together are so freaking loud. I actually asked the front desk if we had neighbors for fear of complaints.

TO anyone i may have missed :wave2: hey there!

I'd have to marry your neighbor. Mexican food. MMMMMMM.

OMG, I just skimmed it! What an awesome idea! LOVE it. I am the only one who watches AR right now...but maybe I can get the whole fam to watch it and then they would be into it at WDW!

Ok just a drive by to say HELLO!:wave2:

So it is snowing a snowfest if you will we have about 5 inches so far and not supposed to stop till morning so I will be heading home around 11 once the raods are clear.

Ok kids left alone for five minutes and they are fighting got to run

Oh did I mention not eating great and drinking REGULAR SODA!! I am limiting to one a day and the rest water but OMG I haven't had regular soda in years!!!

Wow, that must have tasted syrupy sweet.

Mocha survived the ride she made it to waterbury VT which is about two hours from my house and then had to be let out of the kennel. She is doing ok down here sleeping in kennel and all. I swear she has grown a few inches already!

Not bad for Mocha's first road trip. It's not always easy to travel with a bet.

The. Whole. Night. Pray for me. I'm taking ear plugs and a sleeping mask.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!

I've given my "excess body fat" a warning. Eviction papers have been served. Effective immediately. See this: :wave2: That's me. Waving good bye to those stubborn pounds [/B][/COLOR]

Love it! Go Nancy!

Not at all familiar with the "detox". please...whatever it is...make sure it's a healthy way to lose real weight, 'k?

I took a look at their website. This is not something that I could do. It's all fruits and veggies for 10 days along with their supplements. I also noticed that the same place promotes a very low calorie diet along with daily injections of hCG. Doesn't sound healthy to me. I work with somebody who did a 24 hour detox and swears she had a ton of energy and a kickstart with weightloss.

Oh my gosh, that was so sweet of her! I used to have alot of jockey friends during my horse racing days who happened to be fabulous cooks of Latin decent and oh my the food! One of my closest friends made the best homemade guacamole I have ever had. I hated it before I met him.

Lyz - you are so a better person than I am... that is one heck of a way to spend a night...

Hi all - sorry for not posting this weekend. Haven't been binging or anything, but just busy with stuff around here.

I'll post more tomorrow, promise...

Miss you gals,
Paula

Amazing Race thru Disney World

EriKa, if you have time, go read this trip report. It's such a great idea and your kids would love it. Heck I'd love to do it.

That was AMAZING. Forget the KIDS. I want someone to do that for ME :goodvibes

Today's points:

31. A bit high - especially since I didn't do much in the way of exercise (a bit of shovelling, barn cleaning)....but eh. Tomorrow's a new day.

Exercise - no formal workout today. I don't think I reported on Friday & Saturday's workouts (no tracking those days :scared: )....they were 45 minutes bike and 60 minutes total body strength work respectively for a total of 840/1500 for the challenge.

AND. So that I wouldn't have to listen to it calling me....I had one last glass of wine....now it's gone. And there shall be no more for a while.

Looking forward. Moving on. :upsidedow

LYZ - hope your evening is going well

Just won tickets to her new movie..and no I am not a big fan of hers at all...but it was filmed in New Ulm, Minnesota...my paternal Grandmothers family's home...and it makes fun of the red neck Minnesooootans...so hopefully it will be funny...will know next Thursday...

Sorry I have not posted this weekend...if it could go worong it has...major plumbing problems upstairs,

:wave2:

I had water and the chicken in garlic sauce --- only 7 points and it was very good!!! I may have another weight loss this week too!!! I am going to try and get up tomorrow morning and go to the gym in the early AM - so I am off to bed after letting the dogs out for one more potty break.

Have a wonderful week - we are getting closer to spring!!!!!!

Applebee's has some awesome WW friendly food. Love your pug's name! Nothing wrong with it at all. I named my pony Tinkerbell many many moons ago.

Wow...all of a sudden this has become the dog thread! :rotfl2:

Lyz...it is 10:30--how is it going? Any sign of things winding down?
