In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

I have totally, utterly, completely falled off the wagon and been dragged behind it for a few miles. I've gained (blech) and i can't seem to make myself care this week! I'm just too tired, there aren't enough hours in the day, and when i grab five minutes to eat, it has been fast food/pizza/etc because I'm at the mercy of whoever was elected that day to go out and get lunch.
.

Yep, thats right, apparently i "falled" off the wagon, i say you, i falled off the "durned' wagon....

I need sleep :crazy2:

Hi all.

I know I am evil :darth: and must be destroyed in your lifetimes:badpc: . I have been busy with work and I even had my kids for a whole week:dance3: . I am SOOOO happy :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc.

We spent a beautiful fall week in Minnesota looking at trees, hiking:yay: , doing a movie etc... LOVED IT!!!

Anyway ...

Liz & Erika (I apologize if I misspell...not my strong suit)...Thank you for your time and advice, I have not been a good friend by not responding.

I love the advice, you are right of course I can only control my actions and that is the avenue I have chosen to take. Of course it does not mean I do not get frustrated with my exwife but I will support an age appropriate view with the girls and speak to them about respecting their mother. I have tried to do that through the divorce but of course like many before me I am not perfect and must work on myself.

As far as the rest of the board I AM SORRRRY but I have got to declare disboard posting bankruptcy because I cannot possibly hope to catch up. I will try to be better from here on out and keep up with everyone's lives.

Hi gals

Good Morning Buddies! It's Monday. Time to Recommit if you have fallen. Or time to step it up if you are on track.

I have a busy day scheduled. Even made a list so I don't forget it all. I'll be in and out. (which we all know means I'll spend more time here than anywhere else today, as my time management skills SUCK!).

i'm apparently not good at acheiving balance.......

I have a difficult time with balance as well....it's a skill I really need to work on....:rolleyes1

Yep. Time to recommit. It's a new day, a new week....time to take care of ME. For real. :thumbsup2

Planet Fitness has *finally* opened....DH and I are headed there in a few minutes....too cold here to bike this a.m. before work (26* this morning  ). So, I'll let you know what I think of the "violently purple and yellow gym" Liz - what were they thinking? Purple and Yellow...it's loud, brash, and well...downright TACKY! :rotfl2:

Nancy - sending hugs your way.... Its a new week...
As for the Planet Fitness... we have those tacky gyms here as well... the colors are horrid, but from what I hear, the gyms are pretty good. I am a member at Best Fitness. They only have about six gyms across the northeast and they are really spread out, but the gym is good, regular people go there and the cost is pretty reasonable. I don't think they have any in CT though...

All right, after being off plan yesterday, I am refocusing and recommitting this morning to stay on plan both eating and exercise wise. I haven't worked out since last Wednesday and I feel like a slug :sad1: ... Here's to a better week...

Paula

I go to Planet Fitness... yeah, its tacky. But for $10/month, I don't care.

Actually, I really like it. It is a no-pressure, no frills gym, and at least around here is filled with all types.

Hey all...
The walk went really well... DH and I raised $255 between the 2 of us... We took pics so as soon as I get time at home I will post them as well as pics of Pee-Wee... I jumped off the wagon this weekend... LOL... Hopefully the weight will come off quick... LOL... I ate Papa Johns, McDonalds, and Red Lobster... Also ate a small bag of Doritos and Twizzler bits... What was I thinking?! :sad2: Oh well... Moving on... Hub and I did a huge grocery shop yesterday and bought a ton of meat in bulk and stuff since we got one of those niffty Reynolds Wrap vacu-sealer thingies.... Our Walmart seriously discontinued carrying so many things I like... They no longer carry the Tyson fit and trim chicken, this taco meat we used to like, disney tissue (not so much it was disney but it was cheaper for more tissue) and something my mom liked... I am getting so fed up with our Walmart... Last we we found moldy food in produce (this is the 2nd time I've found mold in Walmart) but what sucks is even tho I want to totally boycott them the fact remains even with their price increases they are still cheaper for a lot of stuff than a regular grocery store... and we still shop at Sam's Club which is also owned by Walmart... so in essence even if we stopped going to Walmart we'd still be supporting the company... LOL... Either way we bought a lot of food and I cleaned our our pantry, fridge and freezer and we had a lot of food we didn't realized we had... lol... I feel like TOM may be in town but nothings happened yet... I hope it comes this week and not next... LOL... We'll see... Anywho I gotta get back to work... :surfweb:

Quick Drive By!

So TOM did finally show just as I was asking the girls at work to run a few test on me to check things out! NO TEST WERE NEEDED!:thumbsup2

So I was a Busy mom running Ty to party after party and work! Very tired!
I have slept all morning ! Well Now I am off to a field trip of all places stephens work! FUN!
I will be on tonight after weigh in!

Just coming on to RANT! OMG, I am furious! The freaking president (or more likely his father) must be in town because the helicopter (Marine One) just buzzed my house SO LOW that a picture fell off the wall and shattered! This was not just a photo...this was real art, valued well. I hope to hell the canvas isn't damaged. Can I bill the White House?

Ok, rant over. Time for a cocktail.
This is why E is a queen...she is gonna go postal on the White House..after she enjoys her beverage...me...I'd go postal before with nothing to blame it on!
Erika So we went out to dinner tonight. IDK why we continue to do this with DD. All she wants to do is get out of the highchair. And she flings her food everywhere when she decides she's done eating. We left enough food on the floor to feed a small country. They did have a really good honey bock beer though.
Maybe she will be a renound artist when she gets older...the kind that does splash paintings!:rotfl:
I've been MIA. Sorry...:sad2: Let me give you a brief recap of my week.
Honey - you deserve a break...and I am really proud of your son wanting tojoin the military...I hope he is able too...
Well ladies, I have some great news from my doc. She doesn't see any reason for me to be on meds for my insulin resistance. I am down 21 lbs according to her scale and 25 by mine. I will take mine, thank you! I wish it was more, but over the course of 3 months...I will take it. I was terrified that my cheating Thursday would mess up the results (we had a department lunchoen at a yummy Italian restaurant ~ calamari and tiramisu ~ yum).

In other news, I found an awesome free site that has tons of recipes that are cool for me to eat. I admit it, I am a foodie in the highest order. I love variety and have been know to drive 3 1/2 hours to visit my favorite grocery store outside Cincinnati.

No news on the possible BF front, we have talked that's about it. Slow moving!

I hope everybody has a good Sunday! I am off for a hike in the woods.
Ahemmm...great news on the weight loss and I wanyt to know the website with great receipies!!! I baked my hinnie off this weekend...Harvest Cake, Apple Crisp, Swedish Apple Pie, some new fangled wonton appetizers that were the bomb, apple bread - 2 loaves - gone in 24 hours.....Dan and his girls were here a bit and his youngest peeled her happy fingers off!
My friends just left. I miss them already. I feel like I barely got to see them, seriously, and they were here since Wed night. They come back on the 31st, but I so want to book a trip to Vancouver right now, just so we have plans together.

It's good to have people to miss.
I have never been there - maybe someday - and you are eloquent with the words we are all lucky when we have people we miss...

I'm just too tired, there aren't enough hours in the day, and when i grab five minutes to eat, it has been fast food/pizza/etc because I'm at the mercy of whoever was elected that day to go out and get lunch.

I'm hoping to do better this week, i finally grabbed time to grocery shop today (it has been 4 weeks since i went grocery shopping) and stocked up on fruits, veggies and chicken. So now i have to drag myself out of bed early enough to make lunch in the morning (or maybe before bed)... we'll see.

It has been a huge internal battle with the exercise thing, i know i should, but when it comes between a-exercise for 45 minutes, stretch, shower and then go to bed and only get 4 hours of sleep, or b-ditch the exercise and go to bed for a whopping 5.5 hours of sleep, the B option has been winning everytime. :faint:

I know i'm not the busiest kid on the block, but sheesh, i'm one tired chicken, IDK, i need some advise, i'm apparently not good at acheiving balance......

Hope everyone is having a good night, maybe i'll actually be around on aim for a bit....
Girl...it will happen when you are ready...Ithink all of uis can agree to that...pieces are falling into place and I bet there was a time when you woukld not even notice that you drug the wagon...take your accomplishments in stride...be gratefull for the small ones...

Well said Fred...Dan and I and all our kids minus Treyner who was at soccer...climbed a place called Barn Bluff...2.7 miles mostly uphill...and over trees and such...there was apoint I thought I may die...but we did not...and truth..my body never became sore...just my out of breath lungs and heartbeat was sky high...any yesterday and today...no sore muscles either...which means hit the gym...push harder today...and feel some burn soon...but it was almost 1 1/2 hours of climbing...so we had to get rid of some calories right!

Does the words "Planet Fitness" remind anyone else of Dodge Ball...the movie or Planet Pizza from Tou Story? No...probably just me...

Paula - hope you have a good week...to yourself and to food...

Okay - a mini update - still no internet at my home...maybe today...need to see what Chad can pay for CS with his job loss...and other than that...still feeling pretty good...:woohoo:

Have a big party this Thursday...Dan is doing one for me Tuesday since it is Treyner's last football game...so pray cause he is nervous...

Kids are all well...no injuries in fall sports..whew...and now Treyner starts indoor soccer..Baylor dabbles in winter soccer and plays hockey...Carsyn is looking to volunteer her time at her old elementary school...and not much else there...

I am freaking out about how close December is...I will financially pull it out...I always do...but eeek..wish I had not gotten sick...

Hope all of you are having a great day..miss ya...:grouphug:

I know, I know...almost noon and I am just now posting. And did not post at all yesterday.

Life is crazy, but in a good way. Riley had three, yes THREE soccer games yesterday. Thankfully the season is over. We get a 2-week break and then winter sports start.

We also went under contract on the new house, so that is exciting and stressful all at the same time. And time consuming, let's not forget that.

Today is JumboTron day, fun fun. And then tonight I have this big faculty shindig thing that I must attend. I would rather chew glass. Really.

Trip is 8 days away. WOO HOO. But that means a lot to do and literally NO TIME to do it. More stress. And also time consuming. Are we seeing a trend here?

J and I have been getting on phenomenally well for a while now, so that really makes me look forward to vacation. 4 days at Disney and 4 days at Club Med, which I cannot wait for. We have never been, but how can we not love it, right?

ADRs...I will post them when I can. Along with Steven Tyler's house.

And I think I am getting an iPhone today. One class is having an exam, so I am going to have my T.A. proctor while I go to the mall. Good, right?

Love and miss you...will touch base tonight.

A friend of mine has the iphone and was showing me this one application where you can basically turn it into a light saber... it has the graphics on the screen, but more importantly when you moved the phone, it makes the sound of the light saber.... yes, I am a Star Wars geek, but it was way cool and was a free application....

Have fun with your new toy.... I would so get one, but my company pays for my phone and won't pay for the iphone and I don't want to carry two phones right now....

Paula

I think I am getting this instead of the iphone (AT&T Tilt 8925): http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2199105,00.asp

Iphones are cool but way too fragile for me. I drop phones like crazy and I have had two friends now have to get the screen replaced (to the tune of $150).

Anyhow, I like having windows mobile, word/excel, wi-fi capability, and the ability to type with a full keyboard. I have the 8125 now (its 2yr old version), and the only thing I don't like about it is the reception. D got the the one abovelast week and the reception has improved greatly, so as soon as I can find an unlocked/used version for a reasonable price...

We figured out that, due to a loophole that we unknowingly exploited 2 yrs ago, if we renew our AT&T contract, we will wind up spending about $40/month more than we do right now... so it makes more sense to buy the phones unlocked or used than to sign a new 2 yr contract.

Sarah, glad the walk went well.

Dawn, good to hear from you.

Paula, my coworker has that light saber effect. Oh, and you would love this place, the sysadmin has a star wars obsession, so all of our servers are named after Star Wars characters!

Kat!!! I am the same as you. I got the Sprint Mogul at the end of Sept.

I really like it, but, I keep wondering if I should have gotten the Instinct (like iphone) because it's more slender. But I really like the keyboard! I got the monthly insurance. First time I've done that with a phone.

Quick couple of questions for the DVC gurus out there....

You all know I am staying at SSR in December on rented points... so my mother has been hounding me with some questions (and you thought I was the anal retentive planner) about what is included in the rooms and what is not... so I have a few questions from mom...

- coffee pots: what is included (coffee, filters, etc) and what do we need to bring?
- dish soap: do they provide?
- maid service: I know we don't have daily maid service, so what is provided and what is available? what are we responsible to clean before we leave (if anything)?
- laundry soap: I am assuming we have to provide this.
- paper products (like trash bags and such): what is provided and what do we have to bring?

I think that will do for now... just want my mom to relax and have fun on this trip.... you should have seen the look on her face when I told her that I was paying for half of her and my dad's portion of the hotel room... she was speechless and then very grateful (after she got done yelling at me for spending the money of course...).

Getting excited about this trip...
Paula

PS - Dawn - I got your message and will PM you later tonight...

Paula,

You get usually enough coffee for two pots, of the filter+coffee variety that you find in the regular rooms, but for a whole pot. Coffee filters needed are of the normal basket 8 cup variety if you bring your own coffee. Same with creamer, sugar, etc, you get enough "packets" for a day or two.

Dish soap, same as above, a travel sized hand-washing soap and a one-load dishwasher soap. I can't say we have ever needed more than that, though, but we don't eat very much in the room.

Laundry detergent, same thing, enough for one load, and powdered. We usually bring a small container of this.

Paper products are provided.

Maid service is as follows: on the 4th day, trash and towel service. On the 8th day, full maid service. To pay for maid service depends on the room size.

We have never really noticed the lack, except for towels. You can request extra towels for $4 per towel pack, I think.

Let me know if you have any other questions, we have both rented points and stayed on our own, before.

Just a quick drive by, i have to make dinner. But i had my Grad School application interview today, it went great.

The dean told me i'm pretty much in, i just have to wait for the board to sign off the on the papers.

So excited :goodvibes

Hey everyone,

Busy day here. I ended up having to take DD to the pedi. She ran a 103.5 fever saturday afternoon and Sunday. Ugh. She had no other symptoms at all so I turn into paranoid-mommy since she has that kidney reflux issue and the last time she had a temp like that with no symptoms, she had a really really bad UTI. They checked her blood and urine and luckily there are no signs of infection. She is on antibiotics daily for the reflux, but breakthrough infections can occur. So it is probably viral. One last present from daycare.

TOM also surprised me this morning a bit early. :woohoo: .Made for a craptastic crampy bloaty day, but better now than at the TOT race on Saturday.

Off to catch up on everything.

Amy

Stacy - Way to Go! How exciting! :cool1:

Amy - Hope your babe feels better soon! :goodvibes

Lisa - Where are you??? :confused3

Dan - Welcome back! :thumbsup2

Lyz called me just as I was about to eat a piece of candy. No joke. WW 1pt candy, but still. Is that not divine intervention???
