In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

I got this from someone on the Disneyland Diva Board and I love it:

We should do a No Halloween Candy Club! The rules are as follows:

- No purchasing or eating any Halloween candy until Oct 30.
- Can eat Halloween candy for 5 minutes on Halloween only
- No purchasing any Halloween candy after the 31st

The question that always comes up is NO you cannot pre-unwrap the candy before the 5 minute window opens.

I love this idea? Who is with me?

OMG I LOVE this idea. I am already scared of Halloween. Except what do I do about my daily sweet? Which normally is a candy of some kind?

I like the 100 calorie packs... they have hersheys and reeses snaksters which I love... also they have chocolate covered pretzels and I know herseys does 60 calorie sticks...

Good idea. I like it!

I also eat something sweet every day, or nearly. I do a lot of those mini Dove dark chocolates. In fact, this year I am not buying ANY candy. I will give out pretzels. And I am buying myself and my friends who will be with us some individual good, dark chocolate so it's a celebration. We won't want that garbage the kid picks up. We'll have a glass of champagne and a dark chocolate or two. It will be 4 pts total, not 14. It's going to be worth it, with nice champagne and good chocolate! Yum!

Kat - I have been there and I feel you. You have my support. I think a tiny, mini goal might help. Also, say goodbye to past mistakes. So your head isn't in it. Oh, well. Fake it until you make it, and forgive yourself what you did to go off course. It happened, it's done. You are more than a few less than stellar choices. You have the skills and the knowledge. You just need to look forward and not back.

You can do this, and you will. I promise you.

Welcome Amiee...

Paula, sorry about work. Hate those late night ER calls. Good luck with the flirting!!

I need to get my butt in gear. My 14s are tight today. I had three days in a row where I ate everything I came in contact with. Needs to stop now.

Why are things so hard for me lately? I was doing so well for so long... I just can't seem to care anymore.

Kat - these feelings will pass.... hang tough and focus for now on maintaining where you are... your motivation will come back and you will kick some serious butt on your way towards your goal...

Hang tough...

Lisa is right... It will pass and you will get to your goal!! Just keep your chin up and keep moving forward!

Sarah - you have no idea how much I missed your attitude reinforcing.... I really needed to hear you tell me to keep moving forward.... THANKS!!!!

Paula

Paula

Hey all--lots to say, but not time to say it. Story of my life.

Got a text from STEPH--

She is going to MIA for a bit as she gets settled in the new house. One house has cable/internet access one doesn't, and she is running like crazy between the two. She will post when she can.

KAT
--look at those before and afters. And I don't mean the "good" before. I mean the "real" before. The one that you captured from a video and turned into a still frame. But that up against the one with you in the size 10s. THAT should motivate you.

LYZ--We need you. Somewhere in the second thread you had an amazing post. Just perfect. And Kat and I need it. It was the one where you said, "remember where you were...and what you used to feel like..." etc. Do you know the one? It was so inspiring and motivating. I would love it if you could find it and re-post. :lovestruc

I'll be back later--

That doesn't motivate me, although it should. Somehow my head is in that, I don't care, food/drink is more important than fat. Don't know why.

This, however, I like. Fake it... definitely. That I can do.

Mini-goal one... went to Super Walmart INSTEAD of McD's, for lunch. Bought flax wraps and lunchmeat and activias and soups for lunch for today and next week (can now store in wee cube fridge), and some fajita stuff for dinner. Planning. I need this.

Now, if I could just kick this darn impending cold...

Kat - you already took your first step.... congratulations!!!!
Focus on making more choices like this... you will be back on your game in no time....

Paula - A weekend away without internet access? :scared1: Are you being punished for something? :rotfl: I think flirting man might be my dream guy, fyi. You never know!

Kat - That is totally awesome, buying food instead of McDonalds. I completely get that, too. The last few weeks of my struggle I have willed myself to stay away from there. You did awesome! What's baby step number 2?

Sarah - you are SO the moving on girl! :goodvibes

I have to... if I dwell I will stay eating and stay in a funk... I like the thought of tomorrow being a fresh slate...

See? THAT is why you are the Queen of Moving Forward. :cool1:

I was doing well today until right now when I am like in LOVE with food. Focus, focus, focus. Don't want to be too full for the rock show tonight, right? (Yes, I have not been posting my socialite life but it is still going on. Going to see Dramarama tonight at this very famous NJ shore bar, The Wonder Bar, in Asbury Park, NJ.)

I still hate Fridays... On fridays all I want is Chipotle which is killer on my diet... LOL....

Baby step #2 is to drink all my water. 32 oz done.

Baby step #3 is to eat my dietary food when I get home. :)

Awesome steps, Kat. How did you do?

Where ARE you guys? All of you? Sleeping? Hungover? ;) Um, exercising? (Steph's way or Erika's way).

Me, I went to a rock show at a club last night. Ran into friends of friends that we have known for years. We had a great time out. Now it's off to the comical madness that is a four year old's soccer game. There are actually some really good kids who know how to play and everything. Our team is awesome! But Em? She is picking flowers. They are going to put her in first before she loses interest She'll run with the pack if she's on the field, but those weedy flowers are just so much more interesting!

Have a good day, every one!!!

Awesome steps, Kat. How did you do?

Yes Kat, how'd it go?

Sarah, did you avoid the Chipotle? (One is under construction in my town. I love Mexican. Do you advise me to just stay away period?)

But Em? She is picking flowers. They are going to put her in first before she loses interest She'll run with the pack if she's on the field, but those weedy flowers are just so much more interesting!

That is SO precious! And so you.

I am thinking about getting things done. Exercise. Shopping. But just thinking. I need to get busy!

Dawn, are you up and at em' yet?

Sarah, did you avoid the Chipotle? (One is under construction in my town. I love Mexican. Do you advise me to just stay away period?)

I do advice it because its damn tasty and looks healthy... lol... As I tell my mother who eats it at least twice a week, its satans creation... I DID avoid chipotle BUT DH ended up working until like 1:45 in the morning so he brought us home Jack in the Box... lol... I love me some sourdough jacks... I still lost a lb this morning and I'm now 189.8!!! Now I just have to manage to stay good this weekend and keep my water up and food intake down...

I hope everyone else is having a fabu weekend...

Good morning, all!

(and welcome Aimee...:goodvibes )

LYZ...yesterday I decided that if I was going to give you *suggestions* on exercises, well...I should do them myself. So - I did popsicle stick squats. Let's just say that stairs are my mortal enemy today! :scared:

Again - super busy. I'm finishing up a dress today that should have been done WEEKS ago - for an event next weekend :yay: (more on that at in a later post....)

Fortunately, one of the college girls that works at the orchard came home for the weekend - so SHE is working instead of ME! :woohoo: So - I'm hiding at home trying to get crap done!

OK - since my flirting comment got so much attention earlier, let me give you the scoop... there is a guy from one of the subcontractor crews who worked on one of my projects a few years back. He recently came back on site to work on another project and asked about me when he got here. I saw him again today/yesterday and we were chatting about photography, etc. so I am thinking that he is kind of cute and seems nice so what the hell... why not flirt a bit and see what happens.

:upsidedow Have FUN!

I am mainlining iced tea to get as much caffeine in me as possible...

 I think there's a 12-step program for that....

Why are things so hard for me lately? I was doing so well for so long... I just can't seem to care anymore.

 I have found in my personal journey, that focusing as intensely as you had been in the past 9 months or so takes so much energy - both physical and emotional. It's just downright draining! :sad1:

Sometimes we need to give ourselves permission to go into a "holding pattern"...focus on maintaining. Not necessarily trying to lose, but not letting those old nasty habits creep back into our lives either. After a bit, you'll be ready to get back...when your mind isn't quite so cluttered with other "real-life crap"

I got this from someone on the Disneyland Diva Board and I love it:

I am totally with you! Thankfully, my kids are beyond the "trick or treating" age...and we get so few kids at our house...the last few years we've put out a "self serve" bucket on the porch for the kids that do come, and my family goes to my BIL & SIL's to work in the Haunted Corn Maze! :stir: :clown:

eh. Back to work on that dress....I hope Paula is having a great weekend - it's BEAUTIFUL here in CT!

Oh - and STEPH - how's the new house??? :confused3

Someone on a different board said they brought home 25 lbs of candy from it!!!!!! Holy cow thats a lot of calories! :rotfl:

LIZ!!!

I just looked at your ticker...HOLY COW WOMAN! You are AWESOME!!! :worship: (as if you didn't already know that...:rolleyes1)
