No, requests are not allowed. Just follow the cancellation thread to see if anything comes up for you.

You cannot post requesting a reservation, but you can subscribe to the cancellation thread for the month you'll be going. People will post reservations they are planning to cancel and if they are willing to co-ordinate. Or they will post ones they are planning to cancel or have just cancelled and you can go online to try to snag the res.
