I want to have some sort of surprise in the room when we get to WL for my kids but am not sure of what or how to go about doing this...... my 2 boys are 10yrs old and 4.5yrs old both already have a camera and we aren't doing autograph books (autograph T-shirt instead)

Pal Mickey? any way to get him in the room before we arrive? any other suggestions of something that will 'wow' them??

this is their first trip to Disney ever so I'm sure the wow will be there already but want to do something special!

What about little trinket bags. It can be a Disney gift bag with little inexpensive Disney trinkets from the Disney Store. That can be one thing you can do. I don't know about how to get it to the room before you guys get there, but it's just a thought. :)

I plan on doing something like that too. I thought that I would get Dh to take kids to look at swimming pool or something, and then set out the bags. When they get back to the room say something like Tinkerbelle dropped you off a surprise.

I am also planning some special treats for my daughter when we go in Dec. I'm bringing some party bags from home with tissue paper (I'll hide it in my suitcase). I'm going to get the bags with Disney characters on it!

Each night, after she's asleep, I'll get a bag and put her surprise in! I've bought some pins for trading, some Disney dollars, I'm going to get a stuffed animal one day while we're there (DH will keep her occupied while I buy it!). I'd like to get some glitter and use it for "pixie dust" to be sprinkled around the gifts!

When we went last Oct, I had a gift basket delivered from the Disney Florist! It was waiting in our room on the day we arrived, after we got back from DTD! She was so surprised, and loved all the goodies!

I saw on another post that someone had bought their children the little character thing that spins and lights up. My DD already has one and loves it!

Can't wait til December!!!

Go with DISNEY FLORIST ! They do wonders.
Can do mugs for adults, balloons for all (except at AKL).
Just ask - they can accomodate requests.

We get a famliy bag from WDW Florist - more fruit minus the cheese.

We have done Mickey baskets for the kids - Mickey hats (no name - but black for DS & pink for DD) - autograph books, can do camera's - disposable (but we omitted them), pens and Mickey treats.

We did flowers for our anniversary - complete with balloons.

Asked to be delivered the day we arrived. The CR had it waiting for us in our room. Wonderful surpirise.

I' ll find the web-site for you to use in my next reply.

I just did this. I went to Dis store (at home) they had t-shirts for $5.99 and I got the Buzz spin thing and they had Buy one get one free washcloths that expand when wet. I also wrote a letter from Mickey to put with their stuff welcoming them and reminding them to take lots of pictures to remember their trip. My boys don't like getting their picture taken so I hope this helps. We leave in two weeks. NO MORE HURRICANES _ PLEASE!

Just so you know, the characters will only sign the t-shirt if you are not wearing it.

I just got back from BWV and called them (in room dining) to arrange something.

They had a big white choc mickey and choc covered (tuxedo) strawberries for $40 plus taxes/fees.

It was amazing to come back to our room and find it so nicely displayed.
