We are beginning to finalize our luggages for our trip. Like a few others here on the DIS, we are on the Fantasy sailing out on the 24th. :cool1:

I was hoping someone could tell me what is provided in terms of soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. I know our DVC rooms are usually pretty well stocked, hopefully we don't have to bring too much of that type of stuff.

Thanks in advance.

That recent thread entitled "What did you pack but not need to" discussed that a lot. Quite a few said you don't need those things and I would also agree with that.

Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath & facial soap in all rooms (H2O).

In Concierge the same, but I believe they also have bath gel (and it's Elemis).

What exactly is the difference between bath soap and facial soap?
Well, I believe, facial soap has more moisturizer in it. Bath soap may be more drying to faces. I don't know how true that is, but that's the theory.

The facial soap is smaller than the bath soap.

IIRC there was also a fragrance difference. At most hotels the bath soap has a stronger fragrance to it. Can't remember what DCL's are though.

Do they really replenish these daily if needed or is it like DVC stays where you are limited?
They replenish as necessary. If one item (or two or three) are missing they will replace them. Just a note - they are larger than typical hotel amenities, so last more than a day, usually, depending on how many people are using them.

Just got off the Fantasy this morning. Our stateroom had:

Bar soap (both a facial bar soap & body bar soap)
Shampoo
Conditioner
Lotion
Tissues

Anytime we wanted more, we asked our stateroom hostess & were given as much as we wanted. We asked for several extra hangers, & were given those, too.

I still bring my own shampoo/conditioner. The DCL amenities leave my hair like extra dry straw.
I find the Elemis products do that (that's what's available in Concierge). I like the H2O products (what's available in the other categories), however.

Holland America also uses Elemis, so for those cruises I bring my own shampoo/conditioner.
