In-Room Safe at POP

Is the safe at POP large enough for a lap-top? I've stayed at All Star Sports and that one was not.

If my memory serves me correctly, I would say no. Barely enough room for a wallet, etc. Also, try posting this question on the POP FAQ thread.

But for some reason, I had trouble believing it - value resort and all.

I could not fit my laptop in the safe at pop last december, but it was a larger Dell 2600 that I no longer have. I think it would probably hold one of the smaller laptops.

You have to turn it sideways but it does fit. We fit hubby's standard DELL laptop in our POP safe in October and actually this is the 2nd trip hubby has taken his laptop to POP.

The safe is not deep but it holds the laptop. Be EXTREMELY careful in opening the door. We have not had a mishap yet but we're always careful and slow when opening the door. It's deep enough that you can slightly angle it to lean against the back wall but I'm quite paranoid about traveling with our laptops.

In other trips I've travelled with my Apple Icebook which is slightly smaller then his DELL but the only difference is when on it's side you notice it's shorter in the safe. I've tried the Apple in both the SSR and AKL safes and had no issues and have no doubt that the DELL would have fit perfectly in those too.

Back to the POP safe, in addition to his laptop, I had my full size iPOD stored in safe. Hubby says it fit next to the laptop, at first we had it leaningon top of the laptop (open door slowly LOL) then he noticed that there was enough room to move the laptop to one side and be able to set the iPOD next to it.

it the space on the wall next to the ironing board. See how thick the wall is. The safe space is half of that. However, my laptop, cash, etc fit with no problem.

The Pop safe is bigger than the other values safes. We had no problem fitting our laptop and DVD player both in it. Our traveling laptop is a fairly good sized older Gateway.

it fit my 14" ibook no problem(and also digital camera and a few other things), pop actually has one of the biggest safes out of all the resorts. POFQ for example would no way fit a laptop(but pda and other things are fine, pofq just wasnt tall enough).

We stored our HP laptop in a POP safe and there was room for other things (Video tapes, money, wallet, etc) to spare.

All good news, I guess maybe I did no try hard enough to fit my laptop into the safe last year. I have a smaller laptop this year hopefully it will fit.

Sorry but no, I don't believe so. I fit my purse into it but my purse isn't solid. KWIM?

Just read that others did - lol! Guess I should read through first - sorry!!! I wouldnt have even thought that one would fit.
