In-room noise @ Yacht & Beach Clubs

We've stayed at BC last august, when we open the door of our french balcony we had a view on the main entrace parking. There were a lot of cars and busses and we never heard a noise.
I love to have a quiet place for me and my family and we had no problem at the BC. :)

YC was super quiet. BC I could hear noise b/c of connecting door. Did not have connecting doors the last 3 stays at YC, my one and only at BC CL connecting doors....I could tell the difference.

Stayed at BC twice in 2012 & didn't hear a thing from outside the room either time. If you have an issue with noisy neighbors you can always ask to be moved, they will do their best to accomodate you if they have room to do so.

Enjoy!

Good to know, thanks for replying with the great idea. I'll keep that in mind if we have a noisy neighbor

We've stayed at YC 3 times and have never had a problem with neighbor noise. Did have a neighbor smoking on balcony on the last trip but a word to guest services and that was taken care of.:thumbsup2 It's funny, I don't know if I would stay at Swan again because we could here everything from the next room, children running, toilets flushing, everything! Enjoy the YC, it's our favorite.:flower3:

We're really looking forward to the trip good to hear it's your favorite. The rooms look really nice, I previously never considered this resort due to the dated photos on the disney hotel. Thanks to this website and trip advisor you and see the rooms look much better. Also great to know that disney acted quickly on the smoking neighbor.

I have stayed at...
Swan, Dolphin, Pop, ASMusic, POR, Polynesian, BLT, CR (North Wing), BWV, BCV, VWL, OKW, Kidani, Jambo House. The only time I have heard any noise from my next door neighbors was at the Polynesian!!! We had a room with a connecting door..and had two different families in the next room during our week long stay. Both families were very loud. I finally stood next to the connecting door and yelled at my dd..'Honey, you have to use your indoor voice. People around us don't want to hear what you have to say!!'..now, my dd wasn't making any noise at all, that was merely for the benefit of those next to us. They did lower their voices after that.

Otherwise?? Never had an issue, anywhere.

This made me LOL, thanks for the suggestion and response.

We've stayed at Beach Club in Nov 2011 there were no noise issues. We were on the 2nd floor and fairly close to the lobby, so there was a lot of foot traffic going by us. Every now and then we would hear a child running but not enough that it was a problem and not in early morning or late evening hours. As for the room next door, if it weren't for seeing someone on the balcony I would never have know there was anyone in that room.

Thanks for the response, I'm really glad I posted and have heard from people that had a positive experience there. I'm not terribly concerned about hall noise, that is pretty unavoidable!

We did have a fairly noisy neighbor at BC. We were trying to sleep and kept hearing the father play with the children. Their children also enjoyed running and yelling in the hall in the morning. Thankfully they were only there for about half of our stay.

Thanks for responding. It's a bummer you had noisy neighbors at BC - I'm glad to hear from other people on here it isn't a chronic issue. I generally have crummy luck, but hopefully if I end up with a neighbor like that I can get moved, although it does sound like an awful lot of work to move during a vacation. .

I think the connecting doors certainly help play a part. Our room at POFQ had a connecting door, and the family on the other side was quite loud. Figures they stayed as long as we did.

That's stinks that you had a noisy neighbor at POR - I would be so disappointed after waiting and planning a vacation for so long to have to deal with an obnoxious person next door

Thanks for the tip...I'll be sure to request a room without a connecting door.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for replying and setting my mind at ease. I'm feeling much better.

And now...the waiting begins!

:flower3:

I haven't stayed at the Yacht Club or the Beach Club since the early-mid 2000's, so my information may be a bit out of date. I do remember the last time I stayed at the Yacht Club that there was a convention, and we were on the same floor as most of the convention people. The convention did not get over one night until pretty late (11pm ish) and I remember it being VERY loud while they were all going back to their rooms. It woke my entire family up. That being said, I'd still stay there again as I don't think this is the norm. =)

We got a great deal at YC one year and it was one of those smaller rooms usually attached to a Suite. There were people in the Suite and there was even a connecting door, yet we heard nothing.

It was not a big room, but it seemed big because the bed was a pull down Murphy bed (Queen-size) and we had this great view of the lake and BW.

Only negative was we were at the very end of the hall and had a long long walk to the elevators. Not a biggie for us though.

The good news. There was a cake and champagne waiting in the room for some name I could not pronounce. We called the guest services because we figured someone would be disappointed about not getting their goodies. We were told to go ahead and enjoy them! Sitting on our balcony that evening watching the fireworks from HS (It was MGM at the time) then illuminations wqas a nice first night!

How nice of them to let you keep the cake and champagne. I don't really mind the walking to and from the elevators, we travel to vegas a lot and I actually prefer having those more remote room locations; there seems to be less foot traffic that way! Thanks for posting and helping to put my mind at ease.

We stayed at Beach Club in February and didn't notice any noisy neighbors. In fact, I don't think I've ever had that particular problem at a disney resort...and we've stayed at --
Coronado Springs
POR
AKL
WL
BC

:thumbsup2. If I had a noisy neighbor I'd prob go down to speak with someone. It's too bad adults have to be reminded of curtesy.

One stay at POR I had a family next to us who let their kids run up and down the outside corridor yelling and screaming, then in and out of the room slamming the door each time. Lucky for us it was our last day that they moved it.
When I stuck my head out the door, the mom was just coming in from the parking lot, and asked me, is there a problem :sad2:

I think that's going to be my plan, I'll go in with an open mind and if I have a noisy neighbor I'll asked to be moved or go speak to someone at the front desk. Interesting that the mom asked you if there was a problem, it would certainly seem she was aware of the volume with a comment like that.

We had VERY loud neighbors at BC last November. We started talking just as loud in our room and once they realized they could hear us, that was the end of it! They used their inside voices going forward...

I've never heard anyone through any wall at any resort at WDW, and we've stayed at them all. The only time I've heard noise was people in the hallways not being quiet. We always bring along a fan to put on the nightstand to drowned out any hallway noises while we sleep. Since sometimes the parks can be open as late as 3:00 AM you can have very late night sounds. But even that is few and far between. I can honestly say it's never been an issue.

I'm just confused on why people who have noisy neighbors wouldn't take it upon themselves to simply pick up the phone or walk next door and ask the people to tone it down. Done that many a times at all different venues and you know what? It works.

I think that is actually discouraged by most hotels for potential safety issues. You are better off to ask the hotel management to address it.

With connecting rooms, we have always heard people talking, sneezing, coughing, kids crying, thru the walls. Beach Club and Poly included. That is why I always request a non-connecting room.
