We are headed to the world in September and are going with friends! Hooray!!! The other mom and I decided to give the kids small gifts in the room everyday as to hopefully keep them from asking for a ton of stuff in the parks. We know what we are doing everyday but one and my brain is just not working so I was hoping I could get some idea on here.

The ideas we already have are

1) change purses with lanyards (we are thinking they can use them to keep the pins the want to keep in)
2) Light up swords
3) Cinch bags (thinking the can keep all their stuff the recieve in them to keep it together)
4) Plastic sticker activity boxes
5) Towels (which will be embroidered with names)
6) Glow Sticks (the ones with stars, crown, or sword look) and Pez
7) Bracelets

Everything is Disney or Marvel themed expect the glow sticks and light up swords and we would really like to stick with that. I did think about cups but they probably wouldn't get them until like day 4 and it doesn't give them much time to use them in the room. We are going to have them think that they came from Disney characters and they will be in the room when we get back from the parks.

Please help me come up with another idea?

I also made all the kids plane bags (so we are flying) which has small packs of twist-able crayons, sunglasses, magicbandits, magnetic activity, 7 piece sketchbook set (notepad, memo pad, 2 pencils, eraser, sharpener, zipper pencil case), and favorite snack and candy in the usable grocery bags.

Thank you for any and all help!!!!

We are doing bracelets for my beasts, but we will do the bracelet as a gift right before we leave, then they will get a new charm for each day. Something they can use to remember specific events et all.

A few ideas I have are swim or sand toys (depending which resort you're staying at), tshirts with their fav character, character chapsticks and hair bows for the girls, character baseball caps for the boys, and those washcloths that come squished down into a shape and expand in warm water (usually found at Dollar Tree). Heads up though, be careful packing the glow toys. Our first trip we thought we had them well secured but many of them ended up being snapped en route and useless once we opened them. Our second trip we wrapped them in a towel put them in a small plastic bin then wrapped it in our stroller blanket secured with big rubber bands. Worked like a charm. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you I will keep that in mind!

Hair accessories, lip balm, yo yo, word search books, $5 Disney gift cards, suckers, fruit snacks, tsum tsum stuffed animals, certificates for park snacks (ice cream bar or popcorn), tiny dolls or little ponies, small notebooks, colored pencils, a new book (for waiting in airport and on plane), favorite character tshirt, socks.

I am doing a version of Elf on the Shelf that includes "A mouse in the house, a duck gone a muck, a fairy magical birthday, and the aloof goof". Every night a new plush character will appear and do some mischief and leave gifts. The gifts will be our park shirts for the next day, coupon for the family souvenir of the day (like ears or the BOG goblets), snacks, things like that. Mickey will start our park days with the rest of our park gear that I haven't given out, then Goofy, Tinkerbell will show up with goodies and birthday presents, then Donald will show up on pirate day. He will leave our pirate hats and treasure maps that I have made along with his pile of daily goodies. It's my way of keeping the magic of Disney with us off site. I even plan to get some souvenirs to surprise the kids on our way home from vacation so that it isnt over yet, and some crafts to do when we get home like pressed penny books, pin boards, and a family scrapbook/photo book as well as a birthday book for the little, filled with her special moments.

I am saving glowies and pick a pearl necklaces as my in park surprises to be handed out at the right time.

Hope this helps give you inspiration.

Day one - ponchos. We've ALWAYS used ponchos at WDW, whether we brought them beforehand or bought them there.

I also second t-shirts or the expanding washcloths.

I bought my girls Princess dresses and hair extensions to wear for the character meal. Also a disney gift card is a good idea, autograph books with sharpie marker, m&m tube with quarters and pennies for the souvenir penny machines

Last trip I did a tsum tsum, glow sticks in the cardboard tube (easier to travel with), a few books, a Mickey stuffed animal, and some candy.

Oh, and our favorite airplane activity was a cars bubble magnet book. He spent quite some time playing with that both going and coming home.

We did pajamas the first night (not sure how old - but for my daughter who was just shy of 4 they were brought by tinkerbell and enchanted to help her sleep just as well as she does at home...and that worked! Every night!). Then Tink brought her a shirt every morning (man did that help her get dressed fast - no arguing with magical presents!). A couple times we threw extra gifts in there but that was for special reasons (when she was "brave" or listened well).

Totally looking forward to next trip and doing it again! Her little brother will "get it" next trip too, so that will be even more fun. Not sure if we'll stick with shirts the whole time or not, but it did work quite well so I might just do it again. I stocked up before the trip at Target sales, secondhand stores, etc.

I am doing a scavenger hunt for the "Disney kits" the night before we leave, but I love your idea as well! I saw something similar online about a "Tinkerbell" gift. Basically, you make an agreement with your kids to be good, and if they are, Tink will leave them a small gift. I was thinking of doing a variation of this for their spending money. To keep things from going crazy in the gift shops, I was thinking of giving each child (DS 7, DD 8) $5 in one of those dollar store babyshower gift boxes that are light green (Dollartree has them 8/$1). This $5 can be used in the giftshop the day of, at Disney Springs, or be saved everyday until our last day at Magic Kingdom so they can save up for something they really want.

Hope this little tidbit helps!
