In room fridge question

Assume no. There are some scattered about, but when they die they are replaced with units without a freezer compartment. It's not a room feature that can be requested either.

Some people will tell you to just turn it as cold as you can and everything will freeze. But many of the refrigerators have the dial removed so you cannot adjust the temperature because people have ruined them by turning them too cold.

If you get a DVC one bedroom or larger (or a family suite with a real refrigerator), it will have the standard freezer on top. GFV has a freezer on the bottom of the one bedroom and larger refrigerators.

No freezer section on the new fridges at Pop and the ones at the Poly.

When it comes to half fridges even if they have a freezer it is pretty useless.

Were you planning to use the ice packs in a cooler? As an alternative to ice packs, you could take some good ziploc baggies and fill them with ice as you head out each day. Then just dump the water out and reuse them.

On a trip earlier this year I needed to freeze ice packs for a sprained foot. I was staying club level at BWI and thought they would be able to freeze them for me but they directed me to bell services. So if you don't mind taking a hike down to bell services, that could be an option for you.

My wife's hip was bugging her at the start of our trip so we brought her ice pack with us to Pop. Overnight or when we'd leave for a park, I'd just put it in the ice bucket, underneath a bag of ice. Maybe it wasn't quite freezer cold, but it got pretty darn close.

I was going to mention that bell services has a freezer and you are able to leave things with them over night to be frozen. I did this earlier this year at the Grand Floridian.
