In-room Coffee makers, the Ultimate Thread

SSR had the old style regular coffee maker like the one posted above at Kidani.
GF DVC resort rooms has the the regular Kurig pod only.

Thanks! That would be good news for me if the GFV resort rooms in the former Big Pine Key building had any kind of Keurig! I have been looking at YouTube tours and even 5 months ago they still had the pod style Cuisinart machines.

Wilderness Lodge resort room has a one cup Keurig coffee maker. I have a picture that was taken from a distance. You can see the Keurig if you zoom in.

As much as I hate the Kcups cost and plastic waste, I'm glad to see them in the rooms. With the old coffee pot with the plate warmer, I was always double, triple check I shut it off before we left. And that time that you miss the trash can and coffee ground are all over. You need a whole roll of paper towels to clean it up. And the "clink" , when you tap the pot against the side of the sink cleaning up. Panic !

As home we have a drip pot with a thermal pot (no bottom heating element)

I prefer the Kcups. They let me have my decaf coffee hot and freshly brewed the way I like it. My wife prefers her coffee weaker but drinks hers caffeinated. We can each have our own.

Any info on coffee makers in the Value resorts (ASMusic)? I think it's coffee pads but I'm not sure.

I’ve posted in a few of the value resort threads asking people to come and update with info. Fingers crossed.

As far as the Caffeine, we're the opposite-I drink decaf and DH likes his caffeine, kinda strong actually. That's why I'm not thrilled that OKW still has pots, no Kcups. Note-for those of us Decaf drinkers, if you're there all week and need more decaf pods, every time I've asked, they bring me a bag filled with about a month's worth of decaf pods (VGF, Kidani, and BCV at least).

Swan/Dolphin is like that also, Dorothy. With the Starbucks pads, either decaf or regular, cup by cup, as many as you want.

So, summarizing…any anomalies that people can think of?

Value and Moderate - Cuisinart flat pods
Deluxe - Keurig single-cup machines
Swan/Dolphin - Mr Coffee (flat pods)
Swan Reserve - Keurig single cup machines
Large CL suites at Deluxes - may have both a Keurig & a Nespresso)

Deluxe Villas are where it seems to get complicated

Keurig Duos if they’ve been recently refurbed (GFV, PVB, BRV, BWV, BCV, VRB, AKL-J)
Some villas, those that haven’t had a refurb in the last couple years, seem to still have regular coffee makers - 4 cup basket in studios, 8 cup basket in larger villas (SSR, OKW, AKL-K)

As villa coffee makers need to be replaced, they’re putting in Keurigs, so you might get or be able to get a Keurig in a DVC that’s attached to a non-DVC resort since that’s what they’ll likely have in the regular resort rooms. (CCV seems to have conflicting reports, some rooms have old style basket coffee makers, some have Keurigs)

CSR has Keurig in the standard rooms, I don’t know about the tower.

Here's a Pic from ASmovies. I'm 99% sure all of the values are the same. I'm not sure about the family suites though. The cups, tea bags, creamer, etc are in the drawer. Took us a couple of days to find those!20240720_153603.jpg20240720_153600.jpg

The Tower Studios at Riviera have the single-cup Keurigs.

I'd guess that is what they'll put in the Duo Studios in the Poly Tower as well - though no one will know until they are finished and there are tours out there on video.

Do you know if the larger villas at RIV have the single cup Keurigs or Duos?

Sorry, I don't. I almost always travel solo so the Tower Studio (which is geared for 2 people) works best for me when I can book it. I'm doing a Duo Studio (which seems to be the same thing) in the Poly Tower next August.
