In room baby sitting

We used Fairy Godmothers, for our adult night out at Calfornian Grill (which was fantastic by the way)

The owner/women who answers the phone is a bit gruff as mentioned by a previous poster, but our sitter vivienne was excellent. She seemed upset when she discovered the kids were going to be in bed by the time we left.

She arrived with a bag of toys and stuff for the kids to do.

We were staying at Windsor Hills so they travel as well.

Seth was 10 months at the time and Cullen 2.5 and neither had been left with a stranger before we had no problems, I did tell her that if bubs woke up not to worry about trying to get him back to sleep as he had gotten into a bad habit of being fed to sleep. We arrived back to find him just up and happily sitting on her lap with her singing him a song.

I did quite a bit of research when making our decision as we had only left them a couple of times before. I figured in this day and age of the internet if there was something really bad written about them I would find it.

Anyway in summary, we certainly wouldn't hesitate to book with them again or Kids Nite Out which I would suspect are along a similar vein.

To the person who asked about potty training, no the in room sitters do not require the kids to be potty trained.

Thanks OP for creating this thread! I was wondering the same thing as well. One of the various reason I became a SAHM (aside from the fact that I couldn't tear myself away from DS!) was because I find myself hard to trust random people with him. My grandmother watched all of us while our parents worked so I was always used to a family babysitting kind of thing. Not that there certainly aren't great daycares, or sitters out there, I just...ya know how moms can be?! Especially with a first born! Anyway, are there services that watch infants as well, like 5 months old and up? I'm really hoping that by the time we go next year I'll have gotten pregnant and had the baby. For some reason I thought kids had to be potty trained, can anyone shed any light on this???

Disney's kids clubs require potty training. I think the age limit for kids night out was 6 weeks.

Thanks for this thread. We are going next week and I didn't know they had babysitting!

Ok, so no one has given any numbers besides 'it was pretty expensive' or 'quite pricey.' I WANT NUMBERS, dang it!! :goodvibes

The in-room sitting service we used took care of my 10 month old (All About Kids). I think it's the Kids Clubs that are in the resorts that take only older kids, like one of the PP's said, htat you're thinking of.

i can't remember exactly but I think we gave our sitter $90.00 including tip.

They had a travel fee, hourly rate and a minimum of 4 hours.

If you have a look at the kids nite out website it lists their costs out for you.

Used Kids Nite Out in January. It ran around $100 for four hours with tip. The college age girl had almost no personality. When we got back she told me he was hyper, so I told her he needs interaction. The next morning my DS (5) told me she sat on the couch and looked at him until he went to bed. For that price I was not thrilled. We did have a nice night out though.
