Is there any advantage of buying in the park or just call a cast member before hand?

There is no advantage either way for direct purchases. Discounts are the same.

But if I buy resale I will only be able to do dvc not all the other advantages as buying direct. With I still be able to do RCI with resale?

INTENSE research should be your next endeavor. What you give up buying resale are not good values in trade anyway. The only real value in DVC is in booking the DVC resorts, in my opinion and I dare say the opinions of most that post here.

agreed I would spend at least a few weeks if not longer researching DVC before buying, looking at the advantages and disadvantages of buying direct vs. resale and then making a decision on what's best for you and your family. Good Luck

I tell everyone, it is DISNEY vacation club. They want you to use your points there, that's why the costs to go other places tend to be outrageous.

Any other resale sites out that are trusted besides the one from David's site?

The timeshare store and fidelity offer dvc resales. Both are good. We have used the timeshare store twice. David's just rents points that owners can't use, but doesn't resell the actual vacation club memberships.

David is just a broker to sell reservations made with points that the member is not going to use. He matches up guests who want a reservation with members who can make that reservation. He has nothing to do with the sale of points.
