I'm not sure if you all remember this
but a few months ago my Aunt was very sick
in the hospital with blood clots in her legs

My Mom called me this morning to tell me that
she is in the ICU again with lung problems
She has been fighting breast cancer for the last 3-4 years
and they now think the cancer has spread to her lungs

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers

She will be in my thoughts.

DS is going to MORP this weekend
it has a Disney theme this year!!!!!!


He and girlfriend are going as a Prince and Princess.
I found an old poofy dress for her
and want to doctor up a suit for DS

I need those shoulder fringy things and some cording, and a sash....

what a cool theme!

No spring break for us, not originally scheduled, even.
We lost days over Easter, now only have Good Friday and Monday off.

Let me just go on record.
I hate cheerleading.

DD11 is trying out this year.
Two nights of practice, tomorrow off, tryouts on Friday.
there are 30 plus girls trying for 15 spots

and DD11 just does not have that natural rhythm....

she is quick to blame any number of things
(they go too fast, they go too slow, I had this part right then they changed it)

but the reality is
no way she is going to make the squad.


Now, when she cheered a few years ago (second grade)
she HATED it! So I am not sure what the thrill is now
other than all of her friends are trying out

cheering around here is very serious business
rather ridiculous in my humble opinion

Yesterday we did have an actual cooked meal
chicken and pasta alfredo
it was really yummy
even DD11 admitted it was good (she only ate teh pasta alfredo)

TOday my boy is bald.

Tomorrow is the championship meet, 14 school districts competing.

If they finish in the top four, they go to States, which is about six hours away!
They are seeded number 10 (of 28) so I am not too confident they will finish in the top four, but DS is hopeful.

He looks a lot better bald than with that funky hair!

The adventure of going to champs is half the fun.
they are having breakfast at Kings (a family restaurant chain)
then the meet
and after they will eat at a local fun spot

I just heard my brother (texas and now virginia residents)
are going to Argentina later this month

to speck it out, I guess
thinking of moving there
