After the mall trip
(which was hours long)
(and I ate ALL the M's, not a single peanut left for DH)
DD13's two friends came here
(yep, DH took DD13, DD10 and two other 13's to the mall)
they are LEAVING at 11
NO NO NO NO sleepovers.

DD10 is fine
DH is still rather perturbed, thinking of making a big issue out of it with the bully's parents (through the school)
He will cool off....he is usually a very rational man.

Our DHs can be very rational, but when it comes to a bullying issue, especially one like this, I could understand how he feels!

We have just a little, a couple inches.
My sis in law in VA posted on facebook that they have already canceled school on Monday and Tuesday for them! They have LOTS of snow!

We got 14 inches. DH got started shoveling quite early since he could not think of missing a work day!
Regular school day tomorrow, though parking rules and garbage pickups will not be on schedule.

I put all the ornaments up
and then Grandma went behind
me and move them

We got 14 inches. DH got started shoveling quite early since he could not think of missing a work day!

I can't imagine what a snowstorm like that does to the city...do they load the snow into trucks and take it somewhere? They plow our parking lots into HUGE mountains of snow, which will remain long after warm days abound.

DD10 is carolling. A friend invited her to go to a nursing home community to carol, and then they have a little party after.

DS should be enroute home from GF house....

My father in law hurt his knee, just getting into his car, freak thing.
He is now almost immobile, though no broken anything.
He will go stir crazy very quickly, he is used to being very busy.

How much do you have, Snow?

I can't imagine what a snowstorm like that does to the city...do they load the snow into trucks and take it somewhere? They plow our parking lots into HUGE mountains of snow, which will remain long after warm days abound.

We have those same huge mountains but remember we are many houses on each block. It makes it so hard to even get out of your driveway. Also if you live on the wrong side of the street, when the plows come, more snow gets pushed over to your side. We're expecting some rain and 40 degrees on Thursday which will hopefully wash away some of the snow.

Yes, I heard that Long Island got the worst of it. They usually end up with very little or much more than everyone else around them.

Mom is home sick today

I refused to eat it last night...not a big fan
and I feel fine!

One day down, one more to go
at my school


today actually wasn't too bad
kept the kids busy
did a few games and puzzles
and had gym class

the pool at the school is heating
and they are HAVING the swim meet tonight

may be a bit chilly
but we are getting back into the groove

I should be fixin' us some supper
so we can eat bite and go watch DS swim

DD10 is outside playing in the snow all by herself
she doesn't mind that no one else could come out
she is sledding

enough life of leisure for me
(a whole half hour!)

I have laundry to switch and fold
and dinner to contemplate
