The county did not cancel Halloween, just closed the schools. State of Michigan will not pay for school days when over 25% of the kids are absent.

Elementary means party for Halloween
no school = no par~tay

our new principal had to battle many today
sick kids but "good enough" to come to the party
fever= you are going home

I actually felt sorry for her
parents were saying
"My child WILL be there for the party"

oy vey!

no sickness in my classroom, knock on plastic keyboard!

are staining the deck

darn if I didn't lean on the railing while discussing where to order dinner from
in my favorite comfy sweatshirt
which now has grey lines on it, dang!

as suspected,
"wear your costume all day"

was a hot, sweaty, and makeup runny mess

my medieval princess costume wasn't bad
but the kids who came covered in facepaint
and hot costumes
were not too pleased by noonish

it got to 70 degrees and sunshine
we parade around outside for a half hour before the party starts
lots of stinky sweaty and dirty bottomed costumes

Oprah had a guy from Project Runway, that makes his own shoes. So on oprah's show yesterday and today you could print a coupon for half off your total purchase. I got 2 pairs of dress shoes, socks,shoelaces, and a braclet for 25.00. What made it even better was you could use it on clearance!

Kimmy has now gone into viral pneumonia, has a ruptured eardrurm, with a cracked rib issue added to the mix. Her doctor is very proactive in treating her, and I am praying the meds works.





All because some little snowflakes had to go out. Couldn't miss a ride, a party, or stay in til their fevers were gone for at least 24 hours without the aid of a fever-reducing medicine, such as Tylenol.
