In need of some P and PD please......

I received a phone call from my doctor's this morning....had my annual last week and my pap has come back with some abnormalities, I've never had any problems before, nor have I experienced any pain, etc.
Will be going in on Monday the 26th at 840am for them to take three samples of tissue.
unfortunately I have to wait since my period started this morning and they need it to be over for clean results.
I am trying to stay positive and hopeful that it was just a bad reading on the pap.....Thank you to Cheryl for being my shoulder this morning

please say a little prayer all will be good I know the power of prayers is mighty and would like all I can get

Hugs, Lisa. I had an abnormal test a few years ago and it all turned out to be nothing for me. I won't tell you not to worry, because that's impossible, but I'm thinking of you.

Lisa, I wouldn't sweat it yet. I had an abnormal a few years ago, ended up having a LEEP procedure done and no issues since.

DO NOT GOOGLE!!!!!! that's the only advice I can give. It will make your head spin!

Prayers and pixie dust from us to you as well. I had 3 different ones come back abnormal...it does cause you to worry, but they turned out to be nothing. I hope the same happens for you!

I agree- I have has several come back abnormal and I worried myself to death before the follow up appointment and everythign was ok.

Lisa, prayers and pixie dust for you. Try not to worry too much, the percentage of paps that come back abnormal is very high. They usually end up being wrong. At least that is what my obgyn tells me all the time. So far she has been right.

had a good talk with my friend Becca in CA (she lost her 10month son to leukemia 5 years ago) tonight, she has a great way about dealing with things and is my roll model for strength and patience.

will just stay busy this week and focus on the positive....see how great Megan is doing at school and get to meet a sweet new little boy on Saturday

Sending goodvibes your way I, too, have had abnormal results and things were fine. It does really make your head spin when it happens, but I agree you should stay off of google.
You have my number if you need to talk....any hour of the day or night.

had a good cry last night and got it all out....a bright,beautiful sunrise today! and we are going to have a nice stretch of good weather this week! low 70's our last little bit of summer weather will keep me in a happy mood!

Lisa, I think you handled it well. Incidents like this almost always warrant a good cry, then pull yourself up by your bootstraps, save your strength for when you know what you have to deal with.

I am thinking you had a bad pap, especially if you got your gift from god shortly after.
