In need of a new camera

We are planning to book for 2009 and I need a new camera before we go. I need on that takes good pictures in low lighting and with great zoom. Can anyone help me with some ideas.

I have a Nikon D100 and my wife has a Nikon D40 and both take excellent pictures we have shot on the cruises many times even the panama canal cruise and two weeks in Alaska and never missed a shot.

If you do not need the camera until 2009, wait. Newer, and usually better models are announced all the time.

Or buy it now and then buy another new model before your trip! That's the Disboards Photography Group way!
