Hi,
Figured it couldn't hurt to ask - I would love to be able to use a AAA parking pass for trip coming up the end of April. We aren't AAA members and didn't buy anything through them.

Any chance anyone is done with theirs or will be by then, that I could borrow your pass for your trip? I'd be happy to send it back to you when you are done or "pay it forward" and send it to someone else who can use it, whichever you like.

Please pm me if you are willing, and thanks!
Amanda

I am looking for a 2006 AAA pass also. I need it for the last week of April too. I purchased my tickets in 2005 and was given a 2005 pass. I went back to my AAA office and asked if I could change it but they said they could not as they only receive a limited supply :sad1: I guess I should have waited to buy my tickets, but I wanted to beat any price increases at the beginning of the year. I guess that worked out , but now I have no parking pass.

I have looked on ebay but non are available. my guess is maybe I can get one after more people who purchased theit tickets in 2006 return from theit trips.

What is a AAA parking pass? How do you get one? My sister is planning on buying 3 single day tickets at AAA--will she get one?

First, chances are your sister will not be able to purchase three single day tickets at AAA. Each office/region only stocks and sells certain tickets, generally the five, six or seven day Magic Your Way base pass - just so she's prepared. Single day passes are available only at Disney World, and there's no discount on those.

She can certainly ask for the AAA parking pass; each office/region has different restrictions for giving them out, but if she doesn't ask, she'll never know.

There's an area in each major park's lot, near the entrance but further than the medical parking spaces, designated for holders of the above pass. Parking is NOT free - if you're coming from offsite, it'll still cost you $9 per day, but the spaces are supposedly more convenient than parking in the general lot and taking the tram.

Epcot and MK AAA areas are not serviced by the tram so you will do more walking with the AAA pass. Not sure about the other parks.

Neither are the other two parks. Unless you have a stroller you don't want to fold, sometimes it's nicer to just walk to the end of the row you park in and hop the tram, which drops you right in front of the park entance. While MGM and AK AAA parking is pretty close to the front, we still find the walk to the tram to be less walking.

Ah, so closer not necessarily better or faster. How long does one typically have to wait at the end of the row to get the tram though? can you usually get right on do you have to wait a turn or two?

Also - it sounded like from prior posts that prior years passes were "working" as well, so that 2005 pass may be all you need (to the person that posted after me). (not that I know, but just from what I read a bit ago..)

thanks for the tips!

Depends on the time of year, although if you go at a busier time, they have more trams. We have never waited more than 5 minutes for one, if we just missed one. After all, the more in the parks, the more spending money on food, souvenirs, etc.
Another note about parking..when I broke my leg, we used my handicap sticker in the regular lot, but they let me park on the next available end of a row..closest to the tram. I could never have walked from the handicap or AAA area on crutches.
