My fiance and I need one more one credit restaurant for are Disneyworld honeymoon in December. We need a place to eat lunch the day we arrive. We arrive at 1030 and want to eat lunch at one of the resorts before we go take a nap and head to MK that night. We are staying at pop century so a resort restaurant not far from there would be great. I know we could eat at pop, but this is are first trip and I want to eat at many different places and resorts. Here is a list of other places we are eating

California Grill
Raglan Road
Akershus
Coral Reef
Le Cellier
50's Prime time
Hollywood Brown Derby
Via Napoli
Chefs de France
Crystal Palace
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Citricos
Boma
Yak and Yeti
Jiko

Thanks in advance!

Will you have a car? It's a little more challenging busing to a different resort because you will need to bus to a park and then transfer buses to the resort of choice. You could taxi fairly easily if you don't mind the cost.

I would suggest the Kona Cafe at the Poly or the Grand Floridian Cafe.

DD might be a good choice. There are many restaurants there and it is closer to POP where you could return, nap and then go to MK. Your other restaurant choices sound great!

I suggest Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas. Absolutely gorgeous restaurant and the animals come almost right up to the windows (restaurant is right on the bottom floor of a savannah). Highly recommend the shrimp with green curry. This restaurant is nice and quiet and is something different.

I would suggest going to DTD and eating at either WPE or Earl of Sandwich. They're both so yummy!

The rest of your list looks really good too. But DH and I could never go to Disney without eating at the above two though. Good luck! :goodvibes

Grand Floridian Cafe

You can have lunch, plus see the Gingerbread House and take photos in front of the christmas tree.

Without a car, I wouldn't bother. It takes too much time to get to another resort using Disney transportation.

I would do dinner at Kona Cafe or another restaurant near or in MK. Grab a CS meal at Pop for lunch.

I would suggest maybe napping first if your room is ready. Grab a snack at Pop, then nap and then head over to one of the resorts on the monorail for an early dinner before heading to MK. I feel like you will waste a lot of time traveling to eat for lunch then back to nap and then back to MK, but if you do have a car this may not be an issue! Good luck with your planning:) Oh and I really like Grand Floridian Cafe!

I would definitely have a snack at the POP, then have an early dinner on your way to the MK, or maybe something IN the MK. But I wouldn't want to go from the POP to the monorail area, then back to the POP, then back to the MK. Unless you have a car. Or unless your idea of a fun vacation is seeing the inside of a bus.

We had to make an emergency run from the GF to the POP, then back to the MK a couple years ago. Man........ not fun. Or cheap. Because of time constraints, I "popped" :lmao: (pun intended) for a taxi. $40 later (round trip)..... problem solved. But never again.

I totally agree that you should take your nap FIRST, then head over for an early dinner around 3:30 or 4.

Depending upon which park you want to go to would change my decision on where to eat.

If you want to go to MK, you could do something like Kona or maybe even dinner at Crystal Palace inside MK.

If you wanted to do AK, you could do a 4:30 dinner at Boma and then head over to AK.

If you wanted to do Hollywood Studios, you could do Cape May Buffet, something on the Boardwalk, or even just head right into DHS and have dinner there before going to the park.

My favorite option is to go to Epcot first and have dinner in one of the countries and then tour the World Showcase and see the fireworks show. Personally speaking, I'd probably do a first seating at Akershus, if you like characters. Otherwise, maybe you could get a coveted last lunch seating at Le Cellier or have romantic dinner at Les Chefs.

But I really think that you'll waste a lot of time going to a place to have lunch, then coming back and taking a nap, and THEN going to one of the parks.

I also suggest hitting up a restaurant on the monorail loop. The 1 TS options that are worth your time for a quick lunch are Kona Cafe and the Grand Floridian Cafe.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, really. They both have good food, are easy to get to, and very close to the Magic Kingdom main entrance.

Another recommendation for Kona Cafe here. Your arrival day is a great opportunity explore the monorail resorts, and Kona is a wonderful place for a leisurely lunch to begin a Disney vacation.

As others have said, Grand Floridian Cafe is another nice option, but I prefer Kona.

I might suggest doing the Cape May Cafe, possibly for a late lunch. Then you could walk around that area.

Thanks for all your advice. Im in agreement that we should nap first then do a late lunch, early dinner!
