In N Out Burger should replace McDonald's

Okay time for me to the play the advocate. How about instead of fast food a healthy food alternative? Some place where you can go and eat a non fatty meal?

Can we compromise and have a side of Lipitor instead of fries with our burger , or something like that? :confused3

DLR does have lots of healthy/healthier alternatives - take the chicken skewers at Bengal BBQ, for example, and on every extensive menu (like Rain Forest Cafe). But I generally eat grilled skinless chicken breasts on whole wheat or thin turkey slices on whole wheat with mustard most of the time - and lots of bananas. And I only drink water - nothing else. So I am ready to PORK OUT next week on ice cream and meat of some kind!

Oh I know and I firmly agree that vacation is for eating the things you normally wouldn't. As I said I am playing advocate.:goodvibes

None in Oregon either! We ate at In-n-Out while in SoCal this summer, and the burgers were really good. We ended up stopping at one on our drive home, too. I agree with PP's about the fries not being that great, but I would love to see an In-n-Out stand in DL! ::yes::

I think the fries sort of grow on you. The first time I tried In-n-Out, I wasn't sure about the fries either but now i really like them. They just taste different than the fries we are used to getting, probably because they slice the potatoes right there and throw them into the oil so there's not any extra ingredients.

I am sure that you're right about that. They have great fries and shakes.

Well, it is good in theory for me to pork out on vacation, but my eyes and brain are usually bigger than my stomach. Right now, I currently have a bunch of PS's scheduled for next week at several restaurants, and I don't normally eat that many meals in one day, so I know I will be stuffed to the gills and waddling around the park. I find that, even if I drink a Coke now with a meal, which only happens at DLR, I am full right away. It's that carbonation that does it - and I am so used to water!

Nice idea on the In N Out since they are known to be a CA thing. :thumbsup2 And as much as I do love an "animal style cheeseburger" from time to time, I would prefer to have something 'not so predictable'. I too think a healthier alternative would be good....but what ever it is I hope they can figure out a way to make the line go fast at busy times

I would much prefer In'N'Out than Wendys. Sorry.

I think that In'N"Out has pretty good food, and it is kind-of iconic to southern Cali. It would be fun if they would adapt the In'N"Out facade to be a kind of drive-in, and make it like the Sci-Fi Drive In in WDW or something. They could have old hot rods and stuff outside, and the surf - beach - music of the 50's and 60's (Beach Boys) would fit in well too! And it really wouldn't require a whole lot more theming. If you think about it, there are even road signs and what not over in that corner around the bathrooms (that fit in w/ the soon-to-be re-themed MM), but I think it would really be fun!

The are is quite large to do something fun and creative there. Hopefully they take advantage of the space.

actually when they do cars land they are making a drive in like the one at WDW :yay:

That was exactly what I was thinking when I saw the thread title! It would SO fit in at DCA! A 50's drive-in theme, it'd be perfect!

I would :lovestruc for In-n-Out to come to the Park!!! They'd need to have their "secret menu" though...

...now I want some Animal Fries!!!

I think yes In and Out should replace that just because so many people like it and it is so good!

But they should also add maybe salads and stuff for people who dont like it

Just my thought.

Great FRIES ANIMAL STYLE!! OOhhh BABY!!!!! *drool :upsidedow

The first restaurant (a hot dog stand started in 1937) run by the McDonald brothers was in Southern California (Arcadia).

The first to bear the McDonald's name started operation in 1940 in San Bernardino.

The oldest McDonald's still in operation (since 1953) is located in Downey.

From Wikipedia: "He [Ray Kroc] even attempts to prevail on his wartime acquaintance with Walt Disney, in the failed hope of opening a McDonald's at the soon-to-be-opened Disneyland."

The first McDonald's (according to the revisionist history of Ray Kroc's company) was founded in Des Plaines, Illinois in 1955.

That's what my dh said and I concur! They're so yummy and so CA! Anyone with me?

no way....McD's has a special flavor that no one can compare to...McD's was my dd's first words...and all kids love McD's...dont here them screaming for In and Out...besides you can get the same kind of taste as I&O if you eat at Sonic or drive in hamburger joints...and Im not thrilled with their fries either....

eww now that is just gross people...

I love In n Out but I yhink a lot of kids like McD's better so they should have both.

I totally agree. McDonald's food is frozen, full of additive, crap.

Bring the freshness! In-N-Out!!!!

McD's has the flavor of grossness;):lmao:

Seriously, though it's not even real meat. I'd take In-N-Out over McD's anyday. I'd feel more comfortable knowing I'm eating fresh, REAL 100% beef than who-knows-what from McD's

Also it's cheaper!
