Hello all! We are 21 days out and so very excited! I wanted to check on one thing before we go. Last time we were there was for my daughters make-a-wish trip. I don't remember a lot of that trip, I was in a fog. Now it is myself and my three daughters going, and we would like to do something in memory of their sister while we are there. Do any of you know if you are allowed to set off a paper lantern, perhaps over one of the lakes? Any other ideas of how we could remember and honor my sweet princess who will not be with us this trip? She would be 18 now, and Minnie was her absolute favorite! Wish she would be there, but I am so excited to share this with my other three girls and it is important to all of us to remember her. Thanks all!!

1) If you stayed previously at GKTW for your Wish Trip, you are invited back as an alumnus.

If you do decide to "go rogue," don't release anything in a waterway used by Disney boats. You could possibly cause them to shut down - not a way to create memories for others.

You could take something of special meaning (framed photo, favorite plush) for your DDs to hold when they go to a Minnie meet & greet. I know a majority of the characters have taken part in memorials such as this and it is very touching for them and also an honor for them to take part in it.

How could I get one of the iron on transfers?

I'm sure there are many DISers who are better at things like this, but we have made our own iron-ons for a few trips and it was pretty easy! You can buy iron on transfer sheets from Michael's, Walmart, Amazon, Office Depot- lots of big box stores stock it.

All you have to do is save the file of the image you want, set the iron-on paper up in your printer, print the image and iron it on your shirt.

If you don't want to iron on the images yourself, you can also upload the images to a site like Custom Ink and have them made and shipped to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Saying a prayer for your family, what a sweet way to honour your daughter. I hope this trip will bring peace and joy to you all.
