In defense of Stacey, the in-room TV propaganda girl!

She's incredibly annoying, as are many (most?) Disney personalities. I find the vacation planning DVDs really annoying and lame too. Just not my style at all. I want to share the planning DVDs with friends and family members, but they're just too embarrassing.

Disney marketing needs to wake up and realize what decade it is.

The last host of the "Top 7" was Chrissa. As far Stacy...my family LOVES Stacy!! Almost every night at dinner, we do "Stacy trivia" where we go around the table and see who can remember the most quotes from Stacy.

Our favorite?

"Summit, plummet....straight down the chute, brotha, let's get it oonnnn"

Stacey is gorgeous and I would marry her!

She is a really sweet person, I've emailed her a couple times and she always responds.

My girlfriend is jealous of her. Well maybe if she started coming up with some cool catchphrases I could let Stacey go, until then, its "Wham, Wham, Wham" for me and Stacey!

She really helped me get motivated during my very first trip to WDW in Jan of last year & I would like the opportunity to e-mail her & tell her this (see my trip report below for all what I did via my "My Very First Trip to WDW / Disney Wonder...." trip report.

I think its the burnout you get of it being in a continuous loop, and the fact that she's been on there for YEARS. I think it would be fine otherwise. And no matter how many times you see it, when you are there you just HAVE to put it on....you can't avert your eyes...

I'd still like the 2006 planning video people to come back and do all these things...

My DH likes the woman on the Spanish channel better too (and we can't understand her either). But last time we we're
e there in October 09 they had Stacy dubbed on the Spanish channel. I like Stacy for her overly enthusiastic reviews. it doesn't feel like vacay until she's on the hotel TV.

It's a race to change the channel when we turn the TV on in the rooms. I love Disney, but I can't watch those videos.

The new "must do" format of the show is terrible. My kids really loved the old one.

I find the in-room TV very annoying. Stacey is much better than Krissa. Krissa was possibly the most annoying person to ever be on television anywhere. Anyone would have been better than Krissa. I still get shivers just thinking her name.

I wish to God that Disney would stop the selling on the in-room TV. If they're going to insist on continuing to try selling to people who have already purchased, at least stop the annoying, brainless, mind-numbing, banal type of selling they seem so intent upon the last decade or so.

I think the familiarity of her is nice. Sometimes her one liners even come to mind when we think of a ride, so it must be working. It seems like a welcome home, remember me video every time even though its a bit different. I agree though the must do's is not as good as the format previous top 10 I think it was. We always watch it once.
