Based on advice gathered here, we plan to collect FP in this order:

Space Montain
Indy
Big Thunder

Any recommendations on which attractions in between or should we FP and then standby for the same attraction so that we experience each twice?

Thanks. Just counting the days...

As far as whether or not to wait in the standby line, that really depends on what the line is like when you get it. If you get a Space Mountain FP first thing in the morning, the standby line might be 15 or 20 minutes long, in which case I'd probably get the FP and wait in line to ride it twice. If you go to get an Indy FP later on and the standby line is 45 minutes, it's not worth it in my opinion to wait to go on it twice. Usually between FP's I ride the non-FP rides, like Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, Matterhorn, Pirates, and Haunted Mansion, not to mention the Fantasyland rides if the lines are manageable.

Also if I have a long break between FP's, I'll bounce over to DCA and collect some there. It's also a great time to have a snack or ride the train.

Depends on your group mix and how much time you have. From an efficiency standpoint it is rarely a good idea to ride any FP ride in the first 2-3 hours of the day - either using the FP or thru standby. Why? Because there are so many other rides without FP which have short lines in the morning but longer lines later in the day.

Good rides for early morning at DL? Everything in Fantasyland and Nemo Subs. And Toontown. Late morning? POTC, HM and IASW. Mid-Day? Tiki Room, Captain EO and Jungle Cruise.

At DCA, do TSMM first because it has no FP. Mid-day do ITTBAB, MI and Animation Academy along with TTwC.

The above is a guide. We ourselves do not always follow the above because our first priority is not always efficiency. Usually yes but not always.

If you do it right, you can collect multiple FPs of those rides in the morning and cash them in the rest of the day. However, if you want to ride Peter Pan or other Fantasyland rides, I would suggest that those be your first stops of the day (assuming you will be there early).

Try to beat the crowds to Peter Pan, Dumbo, and Mr. Toad (if you want to ride them). Then send a runner, or walk yourself to Space Mountain. They should be giving out FPs for a half hour to forty-five minutes later. Ride the Carousel, Pinocchio, Snow White, and Alice. Then send a runner to get Indy FP. Again, it should be a return time of forty-five minutes to maybe an hour. Now you can ride the Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, etc. As soon as your window opens up to obtain another FP, get the Big Thunder one. Now, it should only be 11am or so. You are holding three FPs. Decide which ones you want to start doubling up on.

If you don't care to ride the Fantasyland rides, you can instead obtain a Space Mountain FP at 8am, and then move to Indy, and then Big Thunder. You could probably obtain all three FPs by 10am or so, riding Buzz, Jungle Cruise, Pirates and Haunted Mansion in between while waiting for the window to open. It really depends on what you would like to ride and how much you are willing to criss cross the park during the first few hours. However, doing this early will save you so much time later on! So I highly recommend. ;)
