In between DR and Universal.

What's the best area to stay that is in between these 2. We have a car. Also going to do other things such as gator land and wild Florida. I was liking the downtown disney area but wasn't sure..pool is a must. Clean and not run down and not expensive ideally under a 100 a night.

I would stay in Lake Buena Vista, or the southern part of International Drive, the area around SeaWorld and the convention center.

I agree with Matt. There are many options in the area, and at that price point and with the some frugal shopping, you can get into one of the better resort properties in the area if you aren't going on the peak dates.
