In and Out in a Day

Becky- Don't change your clocks this weekend! I don't think we change them until November.

:rotfl:Yeah, John told me that last night. What was I thinking?

Nancy, good luck with "Stove Wars 2012!"

Kathy, I hope you are planning on taking lots of pictures at Food and Wine for us! I want to see what is on offer this year.

WFD: I think pizza with pesto and roasted peppers.

Quick in to let you know I am still alive! Been busy with MIL visiting...we're in the process of staining T's swingset. What a job!

Dinner tonight is Chicken Francese over angel hair and tossed salad. Oh, and Italian bread and butter. MIL loves bread and butter!

Hope all is well! xoxoxo

Becky - I will take some pics but can't promise how they'll come out. My camera died so I'll have to use my phone.

Robin - We have a lot of ADR's!!! Breakfasts - Kona & Kouzzina; Dinners - Flying Fish, Il Mulino, Jiko, La Hacienda, BlueZoo, Rose & Crown and Raglan Road. Mixed in with all of those we have a Signature dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby, Italian Regional Lunch at Tutto, Tequila Lunch at La Hacienda and Party for the Senses.....this would be why I've been dieting and working out like crazy!!

Lauren - Is T enjoying his time with Grandma? I'm sure she is enjoying it!

Kathy- Those sound awsome, out of all those I've only eaten at Kona- and that was probably 20 years ago! I'm not even sure if we are going to do any sit down meals on our next trip, there just don't seem to be any we have to do.

Well today is my Monday and it feels like it! Got to get ready for work, see you all later.

Good Morning! Hopefully the clouds and rain are gone, it has been cold and clammy here lately! pixiedust:

Robin- The toasty warm would be nice. I really would not mind a stove up here, just not the one we have. I don't see how we can install on though, we have an open floor plan and a lot of windows. The codes are such that you cannot be within so many feet of a window so Buddy wants to put it in our space that goes to the living areas of the house. I think that would not be very pretty.

It is funny how different we all are when it comes to Disney Dining :upsidedow I spend so much time over restaurants. Marisa said that if we booed every where I want to eat we would move from one meal to the next and nowhere else :lmao:

Becky- Stove wars :rotfl::rotfl: That about sums it up :lmao:

Kat- Your ADR's look amazing!

Lauren- I hope that you are enjoying your visit!

We have been busy, I don't know how I worked full time and went to school before. :faint:

My N and R are in their Aunt's wedding in two weeks. W is overwhelmed getting them all ready to fly to Colorado and have everything and everyone ready for the wedding. She came here yesterday, tears streaming down her face. Her girls got their hair cut and she hates it. I think they both are adorable but I will admit that the cut the stylist gave N is a bit extreme. It is a real wedge cut in the back and no change in the front. My girl can totally rock it out but W had plans for the girls hair decorations and now has to go back to the drawing board. The girls knew she was upset but not why so Buddy fixed everything by sneaking them cookies :thumbsup2

Oh well, out for now! BBL! WIsh me luck, I have a huge test!

Hopefully everyone is having a nice weekend!

Nan - I can imagine how W feels but the girls will be absolutely adorable! Pics please!!!

Trying to get everything planned as far as meals for Kyle while we're gone. I have quite a few meals frozen for him so I just need to grill up some chicken for him to make salads. The boy's favorite meal lately is grilled chicken salad!

I'll pop back in tomorrow or Sunday.:goodvibes

You are going above and beyond! I know there are fast food places near your house!

I've been eating a lot of chicken salad too. I have it for lunch at work. I'm getting a little bored with it. Today they were selling nachos for $2 so I had that instead. It was just tortilla chips and that cheese from the dispenser, but it was nice to have something different. The cafeteria does a baked potato bar sometimes; I should get that again sometime. I haven't gotten it in a long time.

Sometimes they have restaurants come in and serve too. They seem to be doing it more often this year. We've already had Outback burger and fries ($8)and they had some shrimp pasta ($7) earlier this week. I didn't buy either this time, but I did buy the Outback a couple times last year. I think Chick Fil A is up next.

We are moving so slowly with the floor. So slowly that we haven't started yet! :rotfl2: We need to go buy paint tomorrow and paint so we can lay the floor. I am at work for nearly 10 hours a day, so by the time I get home I'm done. Stick a fork in me.

I've been pretty bad at In and Out! I've been on the Dis...just haven't checked in here! So sorry. I'll have to do better.

Kat - Enjoy F&W week. Sounds like you have great ADRs! :cheer2:

Becky - Hope you had another nice relaxing weekend.

Nancy - That wood or pellet stove seems to be a whole iceberg for Buddy's retirement. I hope he figures it out. I gotta say that it is a complete can of worms here for us too. Our rhetorical questions in this household: How much money is enough to retire on? Do you plan for living and the odd luxury? What happens if we get sick? How much money do we need to plan for to cope with sickness???

I think we'll be working for a lot longer than we had thought!

Hope you'll post pictures of the wedding.

Robin - I think I'm going to be in San Francisco for the clock change. Oh No! I'm going to lose another hour!

Lauren - Nice to see you popping in to let us know you're alive! Hope the visit with MiL was a good one.

Bethany - Hope the home decoration is going well...if a little slow. I'm sure it will look great when you finish.

I don't know if I mentioned that my old high school reunion was sometime late last week. I debated about going and in the end I decided that I needed to go see how everyone had turned out. Seems like we've all gained at least 20 lbs! If ever you needed any proof that a 'leopard does not change its spots', these reunions will give you just that. Everyone was the same...we all reverted to silly schoolgirls! But I did connect with 2 girls that I hadn't been particularly close to at school. We're going to try to have a "proper" catch up before the end of the year. I think I'm looking forward to that catch up more!

Hope you're all well.

Good morning! Really quiet around here lately.

Bethany - That is awesome that the school brings in restaurants for lunch, great idea!!! Did y'all start on the floor?

PIO - Don't you just love reconnecting with people you haven't seen in a long time? I love Facebook for that exact reason!

It's Monday...red beans & rice with grilled chicken sausages. bbl.....

I am in real quick - but will read back and catch up.

Well I am so sorry I was MIA last week. I had Monday off, Matthew was home and since the bank was closed he stayed till Monday evening. I put a pot roast in the oven and all of the kids were here for dinner. Tuesday I was in Omaha for a Dr. appt. and about 5:00 I started feeling yucky. Was sick all day, all night and all day on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday I played catch up at work. All weekend Doug and I worked at Jay and Elizabeth's new house and today I am back to work. Gee I needed to come to work to rest up.

It has been a whole week since I have seen Lilly so as soon as Doug gets off of work we are heading to Kearney. I have to have my Lilly fix ya know.

WFDT ~ Jimmy Johns!! enough said.

Make it a great day everyone!!

Well, our boys lost again. :sad2: For some reason our QB kept throwing to players who were being covered by the opposing team and not, as it happens my godson, to the totally out there by himself, no one to bother him player. The other team knows who his receivers are and kept them covered completely.

Wow, that must have been frustrating to watch.:headache:

You have a lucky boy! I think I barely bought sandwich meat for my boys when Buddy and I took off for a few days:rotfl2:

I know the girls will be adorable! Honestly, they are so stinkin' cute they make my heart sing. Saturday they spent the morning with me, they "were not up" to shopping with Mom so they arrived in their jammies and bathrobes. :goodvibes Before they left, N asked me to send Budman an Eskimo kiss. and she made sure I got two just to make sure I got one to him.

.

Retirement is nervewracking! There are pension people to meet with and they will go over all of the options but he is only going to be 60. I love him dearly and he has done everything possible to make sure that I am okay but I just do not think he is a good candidate not to work.

I am so glad that you had a good time at your reunion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a whole week since I have seen Lilly so as soon as Doug gets off of work we are heading to Kearney. I have to have my Lilly fix ya know.
!

Enjoy your Lily fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A week is 6 days tooo long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:furious::furious:

Well our guys from Jamaica are going home tomorrow so they came for dinner this evening. Spaghetti with sausage and meatballs, salad snowflake rolls and salad and apple pie with ice cream. And wine!

Kat - I do love reconnecting with old friends. Problem is....I didn't make any real friends at high school. Most of my friends in Australia date back to University.

Ellen - Hope you're feeling better now and enjoy your Lilly fix!

Marilyn - Sorry the boys lost. :(

Nancy - I don't think I caught up with your guys from Jamaica. But I hope they left and arrived home safely.

Seems like the weeks roll by so quickly. It's nearly Christmas again!
I've been thinking of putting the decorations up earlier this year. Anyone else?

Good morning!

I probably won't be back here until we get back, I've got a ton of last minute things to take care of after work today. Seems odd not to be meeting Vickie and her guys this time.:sad1:

Y'all take care!!!

Good morning, everyone! We are back from our trip down south. It was a fun weekend! Alan got a lot of filming done for his thesis project as well as another project for a different class. It is going to be a very interesting documentary!

I really need to kick it into high gear with the costumes for White Christmas! We open in a month! Yikes! I will be spending quite a bit of time at the high school in the next couple of weeks, doing fittings, etc.

Nothing fancy for dinner tonight... I'm thinking hot dogs and chips. Tomorrow is shopping day, so we're kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel today.

Kathy - Have a most wonderful trip!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Nancy - Good luck with Buddy's retirement. I do not look forward to that day with Alan, at all! The girls hair sounds really cute, but I understand how W feels! When you have a picture in your head, and things outside your control change that picture, it's really frustrating!

PIO - I understand how you feel about your reunion! I didn't have the best time in high school, either. We do have university reunions, and those are the best! We had one this summer and it was amazing to catch up with old friends!

Have a great day, everyone! I'm off to do more costume work!

Have a WONDERFUL time my friend. Please give Sheryl & Bob a big hug for me. I have sure kept them in my prayers and will continue for a safe and worry free trip for all of you. Safe travels.

Glynis ~ Your weekend away sounds amazing. There is no doubt in my mind that you won't get everything done for the play and it will be beautiful. You are a doer my friend - so it WILL get finished.

Merle ~ Darn on the football game. So darn frustrating!!

PIO ~ Your reunion sounds fun. I throughly enjoyed mine. But I do agree we do seem to revert back to high school cliches. I never went to college/university. Doug and I were married right out of High School, so we never got the roomate thing. But I am sure you had a fun time.

Nan ~ You poor thing. I would be beside my self with the pellet stove in my living room. I do have some freezer space if you need some. :lmao: Just saying!!
And I agree about retirement. Doug can retire with full pension at 58 (5 years away). He has been with this Co. for 35 years, he started at 18. He might just do it, but does know that he will be getting another job. I truly don't think his customers will let him retire. As soon as he isn't with the Co. anymore I am sure he will be busier on his own.

I got my Lilly Bug fix last night. Good grief she is a sweetie!! I got her to giggling right out loud. We all had tears rolling down our checks. She just makes my heart sing. I am good now for a couple of days.

It is a beautiful fall morning out today. I love the bright blue skies of fall. It is to turn cold tomorrow and windy so for today I will enjoy it.

WFDT ~ Hamburgers, sweet potato fries and watermelon pickles

Make it a great day!!

Kat- Safe travels and have a wonderful time! I will sure be thinking about you and Johnny dining and drinking with Sheryl and Bob! Enjoy your well deserved vacation!

Ellen- I am so glad you got your Lily-fix! There is something undeniably enchanting about those little girl giggles :cloud9:
I do think the pellet stove is off of the table. :thumbsup2 Now he decided to make up the amount by turning off off of my freezers since it is almost empty. ::yes:: He always starts by "I've been thinking" and this time was no different. As he escorted me downstairs to see my empty freezer I think he was prepared to be :duck: but he was right and I was going to do just that as soon as I could consolidate what I have on hand. Poor guy, I think I have traumatized him :surfweb:

Glynis- you certainly keep busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PIO- the guys from Jamaica are them men who we contract to come here and work. WE have no control over their travel so they have a very long bus ride to miami and then flight to jamaica

Kat - Have a great trip. Catch you when you get back.

Glynis - Nice to have you back. How is your brother?

Ellen - Glad you got your Lilly Bug fix. Sounds like you had a great time.

Nancy - No pellet stove? So Stove Wars is now Freezer Wars? Thanks for the info about the Jamaican guys. I think I knew that you got help in but I didn't realise they were from Jamaica.

It's mid-week Wednesday here. I go and have dinner with my mum every Wednesday and there is a lot of family around the table for dinner. I don't know how it is in your families; but mine....it just seems like no one really listens to each other. Sometimes I wonder why we go for family dinner at all.

And then I realise why. Mum's cooking. :rotfl:

Morning, all! It's so COLD here, this morning! I had to turn the heater on for a while. Brrr! Forecast says wind and rain all day long. Ick! Of course I have to run errands in it. Deep sigh!

PIO - My brother is doing well, thanks for asking. He takes his migraine meds regularly, and the headaches have gone away. The broken ribs are mending, slowly, as he still has to train for the police job he wants. Still, he thinks he's a tough cowboy, so he doesn't complain... much.

I'm thinking we'll feast on tuna casserole tonight. It sounds warm and comforting to me.
