In 20 words or less, your best WDW tip

You say you're going next year, but when? Your choice of when to go (to the extent you can choose) will greatly affect the kind of experience you can expect.

Wear matching or character/color coordinated shirts. Makes for great pictures and is FUN.

We're both teachers and all of our kids will be school-aged by then. We're going in August, after our SAT prep course ends.

Order water bottles to be delivered from staples or garden groceries. The water at wdw tastes awful.:scared1:

Don't sweat the rides you just don't catch. It just leaves something to come back to for next time!

For August - stroller fans (if you have young ones in strollers). They are lifesavers!

if your kids are young enough hold them during Small World...in a few years they may not even want to ride it.

Watch their little eyes and faces when Wishes starts.

If you are staying on site, order a wake up call every morning, even if you don't need it, just so you can see your kids faces light up when they answer the phone and it's Mickey Mouse talking to them! A great FREE perk! Their reaction makes for a great picture/video too!

We have been many times in usually Oct, Nov, Dec with our now 13 and 9 year old children. We still do the following EVERY TIME:

:teacher:

Wear broken in sneakers :thumbsup2
Drink water in parks :thumbsup2
Break during the day :thumbsup2
Get to the parks before opening :thumbsup2

There, 18 words and they are golden to us :goodvibes :cheer2:

This is a great topic. Thank you for throwing this out there.

Went last December and it was our best time at Disney. Every time we go to Disney, we take naps mid-day. This allows the DKs to go longer at night. (A little over 20. Hope you don't throw it out.)

Second one:

Take your time. In December, we noticed a ton of things that we have missed in the past. Worth stopping to smell the roses.

Go slow. Ride same ride 20 times if that is what kids want. You won't regret it.

Don't make too tight of a schedule. Make sure there is enough flexibility built into your plans to enjoy yourself and go where the day may take you.
