I am booked for November 3-8 and my dates are not flexible. Jet Blue's airfare is about $500 per adult! What is going on? Advice? :confused3:confused::scared1:

Where are you flying out of??

I just booked 10/24-10/31 for $358 for DH and I.

It's Jersey week then right? If so, flights wil typically be at holiday rates for the week.

Good luck though, hopefully the price will come down for you.

Yeah, that is Jersey week and I'm flying out of Jersey. lol I'll be going from Newark to Orlando. Any thoughts? Should I wait or just suck it up and book?

Jetblue did the same thing out of Boston for our "April vacation" week last month. Prices started out at $299 EACH WAY to/from MCO for Saturday-Saturday. And they only came down a bit.. I ended booking Southwest and had to go Monday-Monday to get a reasonable fare. It is such crap that the airlines can do that!! :sad2: Good luck w/finding a better fare! :goodvibes

I found this on Delta, the flight times left a little to be desired but it was really only the return flights that stunk.

Price per passenger: $188.00 (USD)
Taxes/Fees: $42.40 (USD)
Subtotal per Passenger: $230.40 (USD)
Total for all passengers (1): $230.40 (USD)

There are a couple different options within that price bracket for Delta and Northwest has some, too.
Continental has non-stop in the $350 range.

Where in NJ are you? Would flying Spirit out of AC be a possibility for you?

We went to WDW during Jersey week last year. Fares from Newark were insane. We ended up flying from Philly into Tampa to save a decent chunk of change. We always rent a car anyway, and Tampa isn't that much more of a drive. It worked out well. So, check other airports -- ABE, PHL, TPA, and SFB (Allentown, PA, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Sanford) and see what you find!

I would take the train before I would pay $500 per ticket

We usually do Philly to MCO when we travel NJ week. Just watch closely for when Southwest opens up those dates. We have also done Allegiant out of Allentown into Sanford. Just remember with them they charge you for everthing, and it adds up quickly. Quite a few years ago we went on Spirit out of AC that week, but it has been pretty high lately. (although we did do pretty well with them this year, the week before Easter. You do have the advantage of traveling the Tuesday, and not one of the busier days. Good luck.
