Impossible to get a transfer from a VWL owner?

We own at SSR and enjoy it there, but want to secure a reservation at VWL for next Feb. I have a transfer wanted post on the rent/trade board but haven't gotten even one reply. I realize there are much fewer VWL owners, but is it near impossible to do this? Should we think about another DVC resort instead or just try to book it at the 7 month mark? We want to go the week AFTER Feb break. Any thoughts?

could be now that DVC allows only 1 transfer (either in or out per yr) nobody wants to do that this far out. I could be wrong , we don't rent out or transfer.

I think it's a combination of things including your smaller number of points request, that it seems less people are willing to do so and that VWL is a smaller resort with less owners. I also suspect that it and BCV have a higher percentage of add on owners with smaller contracts. I'd just try day by day at the 7 month mark.

Since you aren't trying to get President's week, I think you have a very good shot at the 7 month mark. If it were me, I'd just call at the 7 month mark and waitlist for any days that may not be available. FWIW, I don't think you'll have to waitlist.

Yes, I was thinking that the small amount of points might have something to do w/it and the fact that people are only allowed one transfer in or out per year. Maybe we will just try day by day at 7 months. How do you guys think our odds are for the week after feb. break?-I know that is still considered a peak time.
