Impossible ADR

For reassurance just take a look at the cancelled monthly threads as to how many offers there are for BOG, 'OHana, etc. ADRs. At the 180 mark people tend to bite off more than they can chew and overbook at MK in particular. Then their FP window opens and reality sets in. You may not get all the ADRs you currently want but excellent chance you'll get some.
Have fun!
Thank you. I never thought about looking at the other months to see what opens up. I’ll do that

Just keep trying. I just booked our June vacation about 3 weeks ago (way after 180 mark) and was still able to get CRT, BOG, Ohana, Chef Mickey and Sci-Fi. Nothing was immediately available but after checking randomly every few days, times popped up.

Echoing others - definitely use Touringplans reservation finder. They helped me nab Sci-Fi - couldn't get that one on my own.

I’m definitely going to sign up for touring plans. I had no idea that kind of thing existed.

Touringplans reservation finder has worked for us every time. Have them text NOT email, if you always have your phone with you. When you get a text, you have to touch that link immediately. Everybody who wanted that reservation is texted at the same time.
I’m definitely signing up. Hopefully it’ll work out

I say keep trying. I'm going later in the month, and I've been able to get anything I wanted, which actually surprised me! Part of it was having the 180+10, but I still expected more trouble. Now I do need to make them through my iPad since I can't get the website to work, but I haven't had any issue.

I echo what everyone else says. Most people do book more than they "need" because who actually knows where they will be 180 days out (I don't). And I've gone three years at Free Dining time (usually September/early October), and I've always been able to get what I wanted if I kept trying. While I was IN Disney when we made changes to our day, which happens, I was searching for restaurants and several BOG and Ohana were available. And this was at a time BOG was 1 credit and near impossible to get, and Ohana was at a peak of popularity. The point - people do change their plans, so definitely don't give up!

I assume you're staying offiste if you are trying to book a day at a time and that is why you are having difficulty getting some of the hardest to get ADRs (like the ones you were trying for). Because onsite can book at 180 + 10 days, the popular ADRs are already picked over by the time you're trying at 180 days. Don't give up though, openings happen all the time. Set up some dining reminders to help you too. Good luck!

Keep trying! We are going early September, which is when we always go. Sometimes it's MNSSHP but not always. However, there's always free dining, and even though we don't utilize it we've NEVER had issues getting reservations. This time around is a bit different. The Star Wars opening has really screwed us lol. That's all I can think of. Today though I was able to get a "normal" time for dinner at BOG instead of 9:15pm lol. So definitely keep trying!!! I check like 3x a day. I'm struggling with Sci-Fi and other Hollywood Studios dining tho.

Yikes! Our ADR day is Monday and this made me nervous, esp bc I'm trying to get tables for 8. I already have TP so I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

We are staying at all star movie resort. I’m not sure I know what the +10 is? Could I have made reservations 10 days before the 180 mark?

No, it is 180 +10 days after the 180 day mark, this for the lucky ones who stay 10 or more nights......

Oh I see. Well I’m not that lucky but wish I was :))

I hear ya, I was surprised on how many people do indeed stay longer then 7 nights, I was told that is why they have the +10 day after your 180 day hits, this way you do not have to make new ADR's everyday when ones 180 day comes around.

It means you could have made reservations for your entire trip (up to 10 days) at 180 days from the 1st day of your trip. You don't have to do the reservations a day at a time as each becomes 180 days away.

For example, if you are making an ADR for day 5 of your trip, you are technically making that 185 days out.

Definitely the reservation finder from TP. I am a subscriber and I used it for my sister who just went with my niece and a bunch of her high school class. It's the last time they'll go for the foreseeable future and the time they go, my sister gets to be there for her birthday week and none of the 4 times they have gone have they gotten to go to BOG (which was her wish). So when she was here last we set up alerts to go to her phone. She messaged me FOUR days before their trip that she got an alert for two available ressies, but she was in class (para) and it would not let her do it in the app. I hopped on the phone and snagged her the second one as the first one was gone by the time I got to a CM. So people definitely cancel as they hit their FP windows, as the cancellation window comes, even as the 24 hour cancellation window for ADRs loom. Keep checking and for sure use the reservation finder!

Another vote for Touring Plans ADR finder.

We booked a quick visit long after the 180 day ADR booking date and with the finder we were able to get 2 very high demand ADRs - Beaches & Cream and Trattoria al Forno Bon Voyage breakfast, right at the times we wanted them.

We sometimes add an ADR after the 180 day mark and the ADR finder has really helped us get high demand ADRs, or a more desirable time for our schedule if needed.

We’ve had great success, highly recommend.

Please forgive me...I haven't been since 2015...but I thought these type of services were banned by Disney? I remember using one back then...and after our vacation I remember them shutting them all down. How long has Touring Plans been able to do this?

Like others have mentioned, as it gets closer to your trip, people cancel all the time. I tend the grab all my hardest reservations a few weeks before traveling when everyone is finalizing their itineraries and moving things around. Good luck!

Is anyone having any luck getting dining reservations? My Disney travel agent and I both tried at 180 day mark and we were not able to get CRT, BOG, or an ‘Ohana dinner. We were only able to get an 8pm dinner at chef Mickeys, 4pm at Hollywood and vine. And a breakfast at Crystal Palace. My travel dates are September 16-21. I woke up this morning at 6am just to see if I could get any reservations for September 23rd. And couldn’t get anything today either. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem or what is going on? I know the Star Wars opening is probably effecting it. Should I consider rescheduling my whole trip to October or December? Or should I keep what I did get and keep trying for the others?

My wife and I are going down September 20-28, and just recently came up on our 180 days. We were up early that day, because the first reservation we wanted was 'Ohana, the night of our MNSSHP. All that was available was 3 or 930, which didn't work for us. The app wasn't working properly, and the website wasn't working for us either, so I called WDW dining to see if they could help. The lady on the phone tried for 'Ohana on the 22nd, nothing. Tiffins on the 23rd, nothing. Via Napoli on the 26th, nothing. Flying Fish on the 27th, nothing. I was devastated. We had all of our dinners planned out, and could only get 2 of the 7 reservations we wanted. I was very upset, because on the app it was saying that these restaurants were available, but when I went to select them there was an error loading the page. When I tried on the website, it wouldn't let me book past 180 days, even though we are staying on property. I called Disney back and spoke to someone in the internet help department. She told me to open an incognito window, and log in to MDE in there, because she said the cache and cookies can mess things up. I logged in, and was able to get ALL of the dining reservations I wanted, at the exact time I wanted. Ohana, Tiffins, Via Napoli, Flying Fish. So try clearing your history, cookies and cache, or try doing it in an incognito window, maybe that will help.

Touring plans doesn’t charge for the service. They don’t do anything except notify when a spot opens. They have been doing it for several years. This service was active when the others were shut down.

I thought Touring Plans charge $15:95 per year?
