Email I received from DCl putting a positive spin on Castaway Club benefits. I guess it is to my benefit that other Platinum member can go ahead of me to make a reservation for the Wish.

Updated Disney Wish booking benefit for Castaway Club members​

With the upcoming launch of the new Disney Wish, we're updating one of our Castaway Club member benefits in order to manage the anticipated high demand. For the ship’s inaugural season only (summer 2022), Platinum members can enjoy an extended booking window, while Gold and Silver members can book earlier than the general public as well.​

Platinum members with 25 or more sailings can book starting May 17, 2021.​ 20 or more sailings can book starting May 18, 2021.​ 15 or more sailings can book starting May 19, 2021.​ All can book starting May 20, 2021.​

Gold members can book starting May 24, 2021.​

Silver members can book starting May 26, 2021. General public can book starting May 27, 2021.​

Sounds like they are making an effort to spread out the load on the reservation agents. No doubt they anticipate that the initial sailings will be Platinum heavy. Looks like a fair way to give the best customers the best chance to book what they want.

I thought "all" platinum members were their best customers. If they are changing the levels so be it but don't make it sound like they are giving Platinum members an extra benefit when they are actually making more tiers by the splitting up the Platinum category by the number of cruises. I have 22 cruise and now have to wait for the 25+ members to make a reservation when we are all supposed to be platinum.

Interesting that Golden Oaks residents were not included in the Platinum booking tier as usual. I wonder where they fall this time.

I'll bet they can call when Platinum 25+ can call.

Yeah, as a non-Platinum member, I'm pretty envious of that. This is a totally new ship and I think it will be hard to book without a couple of days to compare prices between cruises and room types (curious if those bump out verandahs will cost a premium and how much for instance).
