Hello there,
I just thought to those that are getting ready for a cruise - should be aware of the following - the Red Tide has really had folks in Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach and on down South coughing, sore throats and everything else that follows with the Red Tide.
It is best to stay out of the water and also could create a problem for children and elderies with a breathing problem, ashma etc. Norm and I have really had a problem with it along with everyone else - it isn't really dangerous, maybe only as I said those already having breathing problems tho it depends too in which way the wind is blowing. Do not know when it will clear up but it has been on the news and the newspaper.
If I can be of further help, just let me know.
Always
Shirley

Thank you Shirley
What else should we stay away from? Dont go swimming in the ocean, etc? Do we need to skip seeing the manatees?
You and Norm take care of yourselves.

thanks for adding the link - I just didn't know how to do it - the Red Tide is on the ocean side and not the river so far and no it will not affect going to see the manatees tho remember they find warmer places during the cold weather - this "thing" has been around now for at least a week and not getting any better - it is suppose to be COLD and WINDY this weekend so will see if that kills the irratations that it has caused to just about everyone around here -
Will keep ya posted on it.
Always
Shirley

Hi Shirley, we were on the Nov 2 Eastern cruise and got your flowers
delivered to our stateroom and they looked great the entire week. We
gave them to our room hostess. We got the same hostess as 2 years
ago! Lily. She was great. We didn't see any manatees, tried the manatee
park and the place you go to on Central. Guess it was too warm for them
to be hanging around. Thanks again for the flowers! Regards, Gary

interesting post...
i'd never heard of red tide....
what with red tide and sharks i can't imagine why anyone would ever get near florida water....
we only have portuguese men-o-war that'll kill ya....
