Important Changes to Rent/Trade Rules:
Please note that the following changes will not affect those non-owners seeking a reservation, they may still reply to a Points for Rent or Reservation for Rent thread without a minimum post count. It also will not affect members making a Point Transfer Wanted thread submission, other than requiring that moderator PMs be allowed.
Because of continuing problems with some posters and to maintain the original purpose of the R/T Board as a place for the DIS/DVC Community to rent their extra points, after much discussion among the R/T Board Moderators, we feel it is necessary to implement the following changes, effective immediately.
Anyone submitting ANY thread on the Rent/Trade board MUST allow receipt of PMs from board staff in their user CP. The automated R/T software will send out a PM whenever a thread is approved, declined or closed. If that PM is refused for an approved thread, the thread will be closed and the text will be replaced with a notation that PMs need to be allowed.
Anyone submitting a Points for Rent, Points for Transfer or Points for Rent/Transfer thread must have had the DIS User name for at least 6 months, and must have a minimum of 50 non-Rent/Trade board posts that contribute to discussions on the DIS forums. This follows the same requirements as those placed on Reservation for Rent threads earlier this year.
